Been playing drums for about 10 years and feel my skill level has been stagnant for at least half of that time. Drumeo has got me realizing so many ways I can work on my skills that i never realized and finally given me realizations on ways to improve Independance, which has been one of the things I care about the most. Thank you Jared, you're a drumming saint.
Don't knock yourself you have been stagnant playing stagnant and that stagnant masters more by playing less, when you click into using the left foot high hat 8th notes it should only take you about a year or 2 to go pro in most genres.
I just got my e-kit a few days ago and seeing my independence developing rapidly over the last few days has been the most fun, addicting and satisfying experience of learning in my life. I played trumpet in elementary and play keys as a songwriter so picking up drums has been something I’ve always wanted to do and I’m so grateful for all the amazing resources you guys provide on this platform and Museo. I know when I get stuck on something you’ll be there to help me break through. Thank you so much!
Love being a member of Drumeo and then watching the older videos on RUclips. Jared and the team have really come so far and its awesome to see how advanced Drumeo is now compared to the older way of teaching. Well done to Drumeo team.
Drumming independence is a big sticking point for me which requires a lot of practice but thanks to you Jared I'm picking it up faster than anticipated. Thank you for the great insight 👍
Thanks to drumeo for all that great lessons on RUclips! While I love to see inspiring world leading drummers lessons (please don't stop), it is always great to see "one of us" explaining things "normal" drummers struggle with. You even share your own practicing experience, which is really very helpful!
Johnny T Those leaders are "normal." We all start somewhere and the only thing that separates us is the amount of time we put in behind the kit. They're no different than you.
This is very funny. this is exactly what I am practicing at the moment (foot ostinato + Simple rudiments, and incorporating the left foot on my go to beats, shuffle...), with a kit set up that is nearly the same haha. I think that this lesson should be a go to for every drummers. It helps a lot not only with independence but also musicality and comfortability HAHA! ;) Thanks Jared.
Not going to lie, these are the best sounding drum heads Drumeo has featured. I JUST bought Evans G2. Damn, should have waited until this lesson came out.
Excellent teaching brother. Not many good ones out there. But your channel has valid teachings. Thank you very much. If you get a chance I would love if you could share in my small but busy Google community. I think others would really appreciate your input on what we all are doing there.
Does anyone know what Jared uses to mount that middle PSTX swiss cymbal between the two toms? I have a post coming up between my two toms but I don't know of anything that will accept that big of a diameter. Most of dog bone type attachments go to the upper part of a cymbal boom which is much smaller than that center post. (I have a Mapex Saturn III not a Yamaha if that matters at all.)
Hey Jared! Great insight. Love all your lessons. They have made learning new drum techniques fun! Thank you Drumeo! When is the Victoria Drum Festival being held this 2017?
When will the date be shared for the next six month run? Missed it by a day and no kit set up right now anyway....other than my two year olds (16" kick and 10" throne) :)...that he plays and then tells me to play. I never play it though I swear. :)
please do a video on these odd eight note polyrythms and/or eight note fivelets, some rhythms that make the transition to a high level drummer very hard. Nobody has made in-depth videos on these topics which makes me very mad.
Technical issue (for future videos): Jared, when the camera switches to the close-up of the drums, your mic drops out. We can't hear you counting on the close shots.
It would be good to start off with a lesson with easier material. How can a person do doubles on top of that foot work unless they already have independence?
firstly, I HATE DRUMEO AND I HATE ALSO JARED FALK and it just hate with no reason, but it changes when i saw Anika Nilles, Adam Tuminaro, And Erik moore, Benny Greb, And many more THEN i try to watch jared's lessons and i just love him and drumeo also... you help me alot and change my way of drumming be better.. God Bless you Jared, God Bless you Drumeo
Confusing comment is confusing. "I hate you!" "No...I love you!" "HATE" "LOVE" "Drumming be better!!!!" LOL... I think you nailed it, though...drumming with Drumeo does, in fact, be better.
Irvan Nemberala The same happened to me. A psychologist said that sometimes when we hate someone for no reason it's cause they remind u of someone in ur subconscious, idk if that's true.
Don't know if it's compression or someone purposefully turning the level down and back up, but I can't believe after all this time Drumea hasn't figured out a way to allow us to not miss half every sentence the teacher says after striking a drum... There _are_ ways to strike a drum AND be heard.
six years too late, but: i've never liked the use of "comfortability" in modern conversation. i prefer "facility" or "faculty" in terms of ability and ease of use... ok, i'll see myself out

Hands down the GOAT independence course on earth
As an 'old geezer' just starting out I find these lessons really helpful, thanks!
I'm a guitar player but I love the Drumeo videos.
Drumming independence is a big sticking point for me which requires a lot of practice but thanks to you Jared I'm picking it up faster than anticipated. Thank you for the great insight 👍
You guys do such an excellent job with your drum sounds. The toms really sing on this video.
Thanks to drumeo for all that great lessons on RUclips!

...damn it, lesson came out 4 months ago?!?! Late to the party I am.
I really love your teaching style!
Jared, all your lessons are really helpful. Just starting out at 51 years young! try this exercise.... "Comfort-ability"! Thanks!
Ok. I’ll be back in a few years when I’m ready for this.
"I started putting my left hand in more places" Jared, 2017
Oscar Baez Soria careful. I don’t wanna have to testify lol
That’s what she said
Very important practice instructions. Thank you very much Jared.

You did a great job, thank you.
Great lesson Jared..
Also, a request.. Could you possibly please get Dennis Chambers on the show?
Excellent teaching brother. Not many good ones out there. But your channel has valid teachings. Thank you very much. If you get a chance I would love if you could share in my small but busy Google community. I think others would really appreciate your input on what we all are doing there.

Im struggling with the idea of independence vs interdependence. Which does we really use as drummers?!
gostei do video, quero saber se disponibilizar partitura dos assuntos abordados?
Desde já agradeço
Hey Jared! Great insight. Love all your lessons. They have made learning new drum techniques fun! Thank you Drumeo! When is the Victoria Drum Festival being held this 2017?
is the Independence Made Easy course appropriate for beginners, or would I be better served with a more general course?
13:40 needs more cowbell lol.
Appreciate all the vids. Xlnt info as always
great lesson
Good classic Ostinatos and exercises here. There a PDF?
what r those tiny white cameras?
Sony action cam's.
Great video! What happens to the dw kit though?
Since i learned to use the hit foot 8th notes i haven't played any other way, so now iv got two hi hats😂
When will the date be shared for the next six month run? Missed it by a day and no kit set up right now anyway....other than my two year olds (16" kick and 10" throne) :)...that he plays and then tells me to play. I never play it though I swear. :)

hi. just wondering. it says the course is closed. i am confused. i have not joined drumeo yet , but I thought you get all the courses ?????
It opens every 6 months.
Is that gaffer tape on your cowbell?...it sounds great
6:58 lol!.... "my level of comfort"' would've been the easier option Jared.
What type of snare is that?
I don't play drums. but I feel like these are great exercises
Drumeo is a great educational product in a world where there is a lot of crap.
Technical issue (for future videos): Jared, when the camera switches to the close-up of the drums, your mic drops out. We can't hear you counting on the close shots.
It would be good to start off with a lesson with easier material. How can a person do doubles on top of that foot work unless they already have independence?
what yamaha is that kit?
LoZhang ; that's drum yamaha recording
LoZhang I have that kit but his is shinner :)
I thought independence meant playing different tempos with different limbs, .e.g 5/4 with left hand and 6/8 with right hand.
Did mean time sigs, sorry :-)
Vincent Musolino
That is limb independence, but on a ridiculous level.
Thx, cool advices, but i still prefer „improve Your groove” by Max Sansalone
Hi. Subtitles please! Great lesson! You're the best! Thank you! Greetings from Rio Brazil.
amazing
Man Jared looks jacked.
jajaja not at all. awesome dude though
TJ Dillashaw-ish.
andrew james & tan for that Canadian winter life, eh?😎
Haha ya!
In Drumeo you said there's no one teach drums?
53:00 Mike Johnston exercise life
This year 2019 I want to know how to play reggae beats
I didn't know that 'comfortability' was a real word.
Get a lesson with brandon burkhalter of polyphia!

Irvan Nemberala The same happened to me.
A psychologist said that sometimes when we hate someone for no reason it's cause they remind u of someone in ur subconscious, idk if that's true.
u should have said "i hat_ed_ u"
invite cuban superpowers Raul Pineda and Jimmy Branly!!!
Ah, just fell off my throne
play Angel of Death Jared 😈
good
All you need is to quantify your comfort and not your "comfortability". haha!
Their Technician manipulates the sound.
Hey jarred, i think it is too advance for real beginners. offer one for them please, thank you...nice job man in general.
"comfortability"? I think just "comfort" is the word you're looking for... 😂
Watch at 0.5 Speed. Sounds like drunken hell!
