i got buzzed at the bar one night and started playing my harmonica to the jukebox and everyone totally loved it. now i play in a band because of that one night
Great job Luke ! I bought your" beginner to boss course" and I learned the fundamentals of harmonica through it.. I started out two years ago and your videos here were probably the very first things I came across when I started learning this amazing instrument ( here in Italy there's only two or three good on line teachers because harmonica is not fully appreciated like in the Us probably) .. I followed the course initially up to the bending and killer blues vocabulary module and then stopped for a while, let's say a year and a half . But in this period of time I mastered all I learned so far ( including different scales ,riffs and techniques) and practiced all the information I got from the course and through yours and other's teachers videos on you tube. So now I got back to the course and finally made it to play the Roadhouse blues workout easily and smoothly !! I'm gonna take up the tongue blocking and octave modules now !! Keep up the good job Luke , you're an awesome player and teacher and you have a nice band !! Greetings from Rome, Italy !!
So great to finally see you perform and really get down. Wish you made some more videos with you playing full numbers. Thanks for sharing your expertise with us. This was a terrific lesson.
Excellent! Thank you! When to start closing down my solo, 😮my audience of children have really helped me with that! Wow! Im glad I pay attention to their attention span! I love your teaching video! Thank you!
Awesome Luke!! I Love the whole video... fun, organized, instructive, and full of tips!! Nice to see your band and your wife...in addition to you playing in it!! Super Video!! Thank you Luke!! 👍😎💞
Right on Mike! At that show there was no rig, lol. I was just playing through the PA. Thankfully, the FOH guys put some echo on it to make it sound cool, lol!
@@Harmonicacom my amp is is a fender champion 40 I get Mas feed back. But I also play bass with an ampless pedalboard rig I'm about to try recording harp with that rig if I get good results it will be pulling double duty . Playing direct is cool but I like some dirt
Wow! I don't know what to say, except great. I could tell just from harmonica to boss you could really play. Give me a few year's and I might play like that. 😮
Hey Luke, learned a lot from you again. Perfectly explained as already in your Beginner to Boss lessons! Thanks to the lessons I have completed, I can now play a good whistle blow train, initially as an absolute beginner. 🤟 continue! Good time wishes Astrid
Some good ideas for me to take on board here ... I have tended to start out like an express train, then throw in some repetition of glissando's, (a la Jerry Lee) then collapse knackered .... (I am 83 yrs old after all). will try to build a little slower with more spaces. Thank you.
OMG ONeill you are hilarious. That'll probably be the last one like this for awhile, but plenty more great vids coming soon! Thanks for watching...and for making me laugh.
Luke pretty groovy! Thanks for your advice. Some time less is more. I liked the 6 draw bend the most, gave it some energy, the second in rank was the 10 blow bend;the third the train and forth the warbble. Thank you for this lesson. 📏🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵
Dude; would you say something about playing in minor key harps? I really want to learn Paint it Black in F minor. I've never had much luck with minor harps. Any tips? Just do it with a D harp like others have done? What? Thanks bud
Until you begin to believe that you’ll perform well, you’ll always perceive that you sound horrible. If you anticipate sounding great, and you play it with confidence, the audience will react accordingly. If you’re timid, the viewers can sense it and will not feel the groove. Keep practicing at home, build that confidence, and get out there and smash some songs!

Right on William. You're most welcome brah. Rock on. 😎
An amazing job. I love every minute of your solo. My take away is “play a little, leave space” then play more. Great advice.
Thank you for this video.
Hey Tony - great to see you my friend. Yes, that's the best possible takeaway! YESSAH!

🤣 Right on. Yep, the discipline of restraint. Easier said than done!!!
Tus vídeos están muy bien editados felicidades!!!
¡Gracias Tony!
I found 10 over blow with a decent to the train works ad a small 45 trill for flavor then fade
Sweet. Yeah the 10" whole-step blow bend is the bomb diggity. 😉👊🏼🎶💣
So good I could almost forgive you for wearing your hat like that 🤣Anymore live vids?
OMG ONeill you are hilarious. That'll probably be the last one like this for awhile, but plenty more great vids coming soon! Thanks for watching...and for making me laugh.

Cool video Luke😀 Thank You
Glad you liked it! Most welcome.
Wow , I love the solo
Thank you so much! 🙏🏼
Great!! Loved it!!! Are you using a delay pedal?
Thanks Michael. No the awesome front of house mixer did that. However, when I play amped I usually use a delay pedal.
Great job. You make look easy though.
Thank you Richard! Cheers!
Crazy good vid❤
Awesome. Glad you liked it. Rock on! 😎
What’s the name of the song, or is there a backing track for it? Song is in A? Love the beat and progression.
Aw thanks! Song hasn't been released. It's a reggae with chords A and G, you could try searching for that?
I use those spaces - to catch my breath :)
Yes, that too Kev! EXACTLY!!
Lol
Rock on Master Luke 😎👍
Right on my brother. ❤️
Great!
Thanks Larry!
Don't plan to perform in front of crowds, only perform for one (me), but still intrigued.
Right on Mel. Yeah, it's still fun to impress yourself! 😉
@@Harmonicacom The one and only important audience is always yourself 👏

Hey Kev - Paint it black is a harmonic minor key, so the EASIEST way to play it would be on a Lee Oskar Harmonic Minor harmonica.
Nice!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Sweet!
👊🏼
I wish I could over come my nerves too play in front of a crowd. But whenever I play in front of people I sound horrible😞
Jeremy. Just keep forcing yourself to do it bro! Just gotta do it afraid. Playing live will accelerate your growth faster than anything else.

Keep playing in front of people until your nerves eventually get better. They never do lol but like you learn how to overcome it!
Super
Man you aré Good!
I appreciate that!
When i play for people they say i sound good but i think i sound bad. But hey its about them not me right? 😂
Yessir. Give the people what they want. 😉🎶

LOL. Thanks Marco. May the force be with you.
👌😎👍👍👍
Thanks for watching! 😎🙌🏼🎶
What no bloopers lol
He thought he had his hat on straight maybe?
Buahahaha....😂
It's funny this is just how the stage works. Be engaging and people will listen.
Facts. 😎
Space & repetition with space & repetition. Then just repeat it with some space! haha great video. thanks!
Exactly!
