Factory 1 of 50 Racecar! 2017 Ford Mustang FP350S Review: VIR with Track Advantage

- Ever drive a factory-built racecar? There were just 50 of these 2017 Ford Mustang FP350S racecars built, and they weren't ever for sale through traditional sales channels. There is no VIN and the car was ordered through the Ford Performance parts catalog. Christa Eley, co-owner of Track Advantage, purchased this 2017 FP350S racecar to move up from her Mustang street car when she wanted a mix of more safety gear and more track preparation.
The Ford FP350S was initially built for TransAm and SCCA. While Ford won't make official claims about the FP350S, Christa's Mustang FP350S makes about 580 horsepower from the 5.2L V8 and weighs 3,300 pounds without driver. Jake got to take Christa's 2017 Ford FP350S around Virginia International Raceway - these are his thoughts.

A simply beautiful car with a beautiful exhaust sound! I can't imagine having one of these parked in my garage just for track days.
This would be good for someone that has one of those track day time share things or racing in a specific series.

Good line tho no telemetry. Yeah kinda went thru in/out the corners on the slow side. Glad u had fun!
Thanks for watching! Unfortunately the seat in this car was set for its (much) shorter owner and couldn't easily be adjusted, so I was wedged in pretty good and didn't want to push too hard given that.

It would've been easier to just giggle the whole time instead of trying to drive fast and talk. Would've conveyed the same message ;-)
I wonder why they didn't put the flat plane crank motor in it?
