I have to say, your storytelling + cinematography is what makes your channel so unique and enjoyable. So many people feel it necessary to speak the whole time thinking that is what we supporters want. The sailing moments, the forest scenes, the little church and elements so artfully filmed. keep up the beauty and thanks for letting us breath in the scenery. Oh! and the music is always fun & whimsical.
Tim took the words right out of my mouth (& thoughts from my heart). I look forward to every episode & this one was even more special. Amazing that you have the music book. We are all in for music treats along the way. Wonderful!
Maybe a little before your time but, Robert Plant (singer Led Zeppelin) said he had never done harmony work until he met Allison Krauss, I think he was like 70. I might not know what it is but, I know it when I hear it.
For our non-musicians and/or non-native speakers of English, harmony is the combination of notes that produces chords and chord progressions. It is the combination of 2 or more notes that creates that sound of music that makes the soul sing. Harmony is the gospel of Spirit. Harmony is the musical expression of beauty itself. Harmony is pleasing to the ear and creates a sense of wholeness.
Aladino pull on the lip of the red rubber to break the airtight seal, so you don't have to risk cutting yourself with a knife. Its called a wekpot in the Netherlands. The jam looks delicious!
This channel is like a super jackpot! I'd follow just for the music, or just for the scenery/videography, or just for Maya's narration (& Aladino's personality, too!) or just to follow a wonderful adventure!
I can only repeat Tim's comments. You both are a breath of fresh by keeping the dream alive for all that watch and live your adventure with you. Safe travels and best regards Yvan
15:08 - now there's a POSTCARD moment and image for you... sometimes sensory-overload, seeing all the great, old architecture of Europe - binging on eye-candy. At least it doesn't rot your teeth.
Such a beautiful episode full of sights and sounds of this area of Denmark…and a bonus of folk music for 2 Mayas at the end…so unexpected. So well crafted!!! Thank you Maya and Aladino!!!
That last music was wonderful. I no not know how you made your violin sound like that but it was ethereal, so hard to describe but so enchanting. You are great
Rafting up alongside is very common in Northern Europe when other shore side moorings are unavailable, sometimes allot more than 2 deep. The etiquette required is to always go ashore passing forward of the main mast, never astern, and inquire from your inshore neighbors what time they wish to leave so that you can accommodate them.
Thanks for the nice video from Thyborøn and to Venø passing the Oddesund bridge along the way. Ps. All lights on means bridge is open and ready for passage and all bridges in Denmark usually are on VHF 12. Remember to set signal flag N for passage
The Limfjord connects the North sea and the Baltic! According to your map it does, but I, as a Swede, became a bit surprised! Where has the Kattegat gone? For me the Balic begins at Öresund, that's the channel that connects the Kattegat with the Baltic. I hope you had as beautiful summer as I had, I intend to follow every video from your voyage in Scandinavia!
What a lovely, peaceful, sublime video! I'm hesitant to even call it a video - it feels more like a *film*. It's art. Totally magical. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. 💕
Thank you Maya! And Dini! Such a wonderful video EACH and EVERY Friday! Your story telling, cinematography and editing are so nice and refreshing. After a week of crappy news from the rest of the world, your vids are a BREATH of FRESHNESS! Thank you!
Thanks Peter for giving Maya the books of Danish folk songs and harmonies! Ending this video playing a tune that originated from the area where they are sailing is a fantastic way to close out each video. I hope she continues to end the next videos the same way!
I dunno how you do it Maya. You always manage to find and capture the beauty in your surroundings. With cinematography, music, narration and story telling. Under your direction the world looks like a glorious, miraculous, shining gem.
Amazing artists working several drastically different art forms…. Music, literature, woodworking, filming, editing …. Culinary …. The lists go on and on…
My paternal ancestors originate from Sweden & Denmark so it was fantastic to see you all in my Danish homeland. While I have learned to tolerate the cold I much prefer the warmer weather these days, lol. Your story telling always fills the senses with the essence of a place you visit like musical notes reverberating through the air in waves of melody and harmony rising up from the ashes of the past and swirling around in the present atmosphere, penetrating ones consciousness with visions of a life once lived long ago but perhaps through the vivid images of the story could be lived today. Thank you for sharing your soul with us and giving us a glimpse of this beautiful and amazing place. Blessings to you Maya and Aladino and I cant wait for the next adventure on MCII.
I think I've shared this episode with more non-sailing friends/family than any other of your wonderful episodes. I admit to giving the non-boaters the option of going right to 19:09 😎
This particular video is so refreshing, the purity and simplicity of your journey reminds me of days gone by as I sailed my little yacht off the coast, you guys warm my heart
405th LIKE and 2,566th desktop phantom shipmate view starting... nice to see all the hard work you put into the finishes seem to be holding up very well, and the boat appears to be performing as good & well as it looks. Cheers.
A big thank you for showing us a bit of my native country, I can’t wait for the next little bit. Also I’m amazed that You picked up one of our old local folk melodies. A sekstur is intact a dance that was danced all over just with some local tunes to accompany it. God rejse på resten af Limfjorden😉🎶
Great fun, enjoying this immensely. Can I just say that if you pull the little rubber lug on the seal of the jam jar, it breaks the vacuum and saves you endangering yourself (and everyone else) with a sharp knife. Been there, done it! Keep up the great work, enjoying your double/triple life enormously.
While my basic education may be lacking, I can certainly appreciate that your performance was beautiful. It was a great example of what sets your channel apart from others. Cheers
Thank you for creating quality wholesome videos. Your music selections/choices are great. The story telling is expertly done. I love that you’re sharing you adventures and talents with us all. I listened the podcast yesterday you did with 58 degrees. I’m grateful to hear that your finding a balance in the life you are creating. Take a vacation from the grind if needed to stay healthy. Love what you’re doing.
Sublime both art and music. Ice of course is ephemeral from sublimation. Enjoy your Summer, Port Townsend Winter I will leave to you. While bridges fall you bring beauty.
It’s good to see you back on the water. Of course, music was popularised from village to village by dance and of course by bawdy tales of other peoples goings on. What a great gift.
Nice video, just a tipp for the jam. When you again try to open am jam glas like this, just pull on the red lip. It’s much easier and saver than with a knife. 😉
Clap, clap, clap. Bravo! Beautiful and "different" sailing chanel. Really enjoyed the song at the end. I don't know what harmony really is. Will check it out anyway. Your photography and voice are very beautiful. I'm hooked. Good winds.
Hi guys, my name is Dan and I'm from Romania and I think what I'm about to tell you, you've already heard this at least thousands of times as many subscribers as you have. But yes, well, I suffered the same! Like I said, I found you by accident and fell in love with your personality, your channel, the fact that you really surf and the direct and simple way you take us to the wonderful places you travel. This way of yours of beeing is very friendly, full of very interesting information and last but not least, refreshing. Thank you very much. Starting today, if you allow me, I will be in your beautiful group of "surfers". Fair winds and seas ahead!
The gift of your intelligent and engaged Minds as you sail this world is a treasure. The elegant Tears Of the ancient Violin Calling across the sea, Dancing in our Memory..
Hola bonito país Dinamarca trabaje 47 años en una empresa danesa y viaje muchas veces conozco muchas ciudades y pueblos muy bonitos que ricos los arenque y el aaguavit un saludo desde Asturias España
Stumbled upon this RUclips channel and began watching because I love sailing. I have not sailed in years so I live vicariously through people like this. This young lady is voice is like an in that of an angel. Very soothing. Interesting person from what I can see as well. Thank you for the video and allowing me to see part of the world I will probably never get to experience firsthand
What a beautiful episode! I know that the Skagen Painters weren’t from the Limfjord, but most of the shots in this video look like they could have come straight out of a Kroyer or Ancher. I’m still amazed by the movie magic in the scenes with your “twin”, and eagerly await the next one. Fair seas, -J
Just as a side note, while I agree that harmony is essential, there are parts of the world where unison or solo sum up the total musical experience. I know one who seems to have the spirit of David, whose music would chase away demonic spirits of the king. Her music quiets the heart of many people too but harmony is not a part of it. That is not to take away anything from your own art. Beautiful playing as always. Just remember as you become more of a world traveller, some things that seem obvious in ours, just doesn't exist in others.
Storytelling, mood, music - this adds to a composition in itself. I often watch RUclips in breaks from work, but not yours: Those are reserved for times when I can enjoy your videos and fall into the days and moods you picture. No matter if its boatwork or sailing, your videos are always something I am looking forward to for the entire week.
Love your videos, your bouts, your natation and all your hard work to two put into both. It is so calme and beautiful...the places you visit etc. Make one want to find à sail boat and off we go, but at 75 and 78..à bit late , therefore we go along with you two. Happy sailing, happy adventures. Be safe.
You guys are awesome. Your channel and Uma Sailing are the ones that I save for the evenings to watch on a big screen! Thank you a lot for the inspiration and just pleasure to ears and eyes you deliver! Celtic-like music is the the thing that carries over you there - very immersive!
So nice to see you back on the high seas again. The voice of your main narration is so soothing and pleasing. Your refit sailing vessel is like something from a storybook tale.
As a Dane I feel proude from the way you have discribed it until now crossing Limfjorden. I know that you will have much more fun and experiance what great waters Scandinavia is for sailing. I presume Magic Carpet can "smell" that she is on her way home 🙂
Never have I commented a video on youtube so this is my first. What a lovely video. Your trip through the Limfjord really tells the journey very good, although I think you missed a key town. Lemvig. It's just out off a fairy tail book, but as you vent by it you have to make it on your way back. when I get time I'll look at all your episodes. Thanks for the music, scenery, storytelling. God tur god vind fremover.
This is how personal documentation about a voyage should be made, so that people watching can enjoy it. Thank you for sharing a beautiful experience in a beautiful way. Good job 👍
Hi Maya and Aladino, I love the videos, fabulous. And the musical touch makes for an even greater ending. Take care and may God continue to protect you and bless you both. Warm Regards, Mark H.
I'm enjoying this season quite a lot. I've been lucky enough to visit most of Scandinavia (I'm missing Greenland and Faroe Islands) and really loved their culture and ways of living. Seeing it now from the sea, thru your eyes, is being a delight. Thank you very much.
Nice! Really nice! Thank you for taking us with you in this joyful trip! God bless you guys! Hope endless health and long lives together! Thank you again for taking us along with you again! God bless you for ever!❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹
Maya, your voice, story telling abilities, and videography skills are awesome. I have on and off watched your videos, but I must say I'm now hooked. I must say that the work that Dino and you have done is stunning.
Agreed! It puts you at ease to watch the content. It’s not jumping out at you trying to stimulate you like so much of youtube tries to do!
Ditto. Excellent videography- music - storytelling! Good work Mia!!
Exactly, it’s perfection!❤
Tim took the words right out of my mouth (& thoughts from my heart). I look forward to every episode & this one was even more special. Amazing that you have the music book. We are all in for music treats along the way. Wonderful!
While I enjoy the cinematography, the combination of boat work and traditional music are what I enjoy most. Loving the channel.
Aladino, I'm 55 and still don't know what a harmony is. I've never needed to know!
Maybe a little before your time but, Robert Plant (singer Led Zeppelin) said he had never done harmony work until he met Allison Krauss, I think he was like 70. I might not know what it is but, I know it when I hear it.

This channel is like a super jackpot! I'd follow just for the music, or just for the scenery/videography, or just for Maya's narration (& Aladino's personality, too!) or just to follow a wonderful adventure!
The documentary style y'all have chosen is enchanting and the effort of editing is appreciated.
I can only repeat Tim's comments. You both are a breath of fresh by keeping the dream alive for all that watch and live your adventure with you. Safe travels and best regards Yvan
Thank you for taking us to Denmark! So beautiful.
Unknown destinations, Happy smiling faces and Wonderful Music....... The real Magic of The Carpets..... :-))) xxx
The smell in the pinewood forest is the best things in life, I'm lucky to live that every summer ! Nothing like Scandinavian summer!

Videography of this calibre deserves a wider audience. Can't wait to see what treats you serve up next Friday, looking forward for more.

Spectacular work, music, editing, videography. So well done. Thank you guys!! Really enjoying this journey with you!
Much as I adore boats and the fabulous boat meticulous boat work, I love how you integrate music, culture, history, and more.
Welcome to Denmark, enjoying your video and being allowed to come along on the journey.

@Williams Susan I am ok, i have to admit to not recognizing your name

Harmony is that which you two have achieved!
20:47 - delightful... you both did a fine job!
You and your twin are awesome. The lovely Danish tune was especially nice for my wife of Danish heritage.
Great fun, enjoying this immensely. Hi Maya and Aladino,
I love the videos, fabulous. And the musical touch makes for an even greater ending. Take care and may God continue to protect you and bless you both.
Warm Regards,

So funny, Aladino being a vagabond lol…his sailor aesthetic is spot on…barefooted, beard, and a beer….yep…that’s a sailor.
You guys are really inspiring , gentle, folk . Great film , Really delightful fiddle-playing by the "twins" . Thanks for the trip 🙂💞⛵

Maya, your voice, story telling abilities, and videography skills are awesome. I have on and off watched your videos, but I must say I'm now hooked. I must say that the work that Dino and you have done is stunning.
