I love Henryk Gorecki’s music. Symphony # 3. How sad that it has been taken off this venu... maybe because I played it too may times. The singer.... Dawn Upshaw ... such a beautiful voice.

Iranian traditional music. This piece is created by Iranian Santoor player and musician, Siamak Aghaei. I don't think I see him on the stage however. He is one of the best known students of Parviz Meshkatian, a master of Iranian music.
Very interesting piece. It has an amazing composition and variety of effects that make it truly unique and fun to listen to. But this was the piece that actually caused me to quit my youth orchestra, quite difficult to get a grasp of what you are playing with a huge string orchestra playing this.

The song is originally composed by Kayhan Kalhor and his group with Brooklyn riders from the album Silent City , they are now reperforming it.
It is composed by Siamak Aghayi (another Iranian musician and a friend of Kalhor), not Kalhor.
