been binge watching your channel and getting ready to paint something again, and can't understand why your channel has so little subscribers and views :( so much helpful information! thank you very much!
Great information Cecile! I have a stay wet pallet for my acrylics and after one of your other videos decide to get the 24 well airtight pallet for my gouache since I had enrolled in your portrait course. 🥳 🎨 I’m learning so much from you! I’m so happy I enrolled in Paint Your Heart and Soul so I could find you. ❤️
This was a great video filled with lots of great tips! I do use a stay fresh sealable palette for my gouache. I have also heard of cutting the tubes to get all the paint of any mediums (watercolor, gouache, acrylics or oils) out. I definitely need to get a mister bottle for water to spray my palette or to spray when painting. Thanks again for sharing these with us.
I have a jelly gouache set, which is too big, and I worry about parts drying out, so I bought a smaller container similar to yours but without the clamps (for $1.25 at the dollar store), trimmed a flat kitchen sponge to fit exactly in the top, and spray the sponge every few days. That way I have always have some moist some paint available while keeping the main supply all closed up. Also, do you use blending medium? Handy for slowing the drying time, without affecting the intensity.
Merci beaucoup pour ces astuces!
Avec plaisir !
Such helpful tips! I have a mijello palette just waiting to be filled with gouche.
Have fun!

Yes, a mister bottle is a must for gouache painting!

Thanks for the tip! I don't use blending medium with gouache. I sometimes use it with acrylic, as it's drying soooo fast!
Great tips. Can you make gouache from tube watercolors by adding white gouache or gum arabic?
I'm afraid it's more complicated than that! And that would cost you more than buying ready-made gouache.
@@CecileYadro Thank you. I have so many tubes of watercolor that I was just hoping, but I am sure you are right. Oh well.
