Was able to remove the side door then the lower panel. Half a day job to remove a few bolts. Got a new battery installed, changed the fuel and oil and filters. Separator was full of water. Greassed everything. Looks like it needs bushings on the quick release for the bucket. Any idea how to tighten the gear lash on the house rotation? Everything else looks good. Runs like a top. Dash works, fuel gauge works. No leaks i can see.
Im looking for a pump pressure release valve. On some vehicles if you force the hyd motors to turn (like pulling) it can damage them. Not sure if thats the case on these.
A couple issues. I just carried my u17 home in a tiny dump trailer. The battery won't take a charge to do one final start so i can unload it. I Can barely access the side door. Also mine has an oil cooler above the battery with hoses going down in front and behind the battery. I cannot remove the side plate as you did. I seem to be stuck. How much was the battery and whwre did u get it? Does this engine have glow plugs ? How do you cycle them,?
@@firstname6208 I got my battery at Canadian Tire, yes mine has glow plugs, they are cycled through the ignition. Hope you get your machine fixed. Try putting a chain on it and tight it to something heavy and pull the machine out of the trailer
