Slick removal of that oil drain plug - no oil running up your forearm and didn’t drop the plug in the draining container. I usually manage to do both, and once even managed to put my foot in the bowl of old oil. That was many decades ago when I lived at home and ran a 1967 Mini Cooper, and was wearing my Dad’s favourite tan gardening shoes, one of which was black thereafter!!
🤣 very good. To be fair I’ve knocked over a few oil pans that were full. Not as bad as your incident however 😭
Very well done. I’m a mechanic who’s trying to retire 😮and your process and the way you think is amazing for your age. Very experienced methods. Love to know your story........and a proper British lady.
Brilliant.
Mine's three years old now and has just gone over 120 hours!
Time to do more than the engine oil/filter.
Thanks for taking the time to show how to do these items.
I had to go back & re-listen to flying Anaconda to make sure I heard it right. Perfect. I wish more people took proper care of their equipment like this. Good video, thanks for sharing.
Always Great when Kim’s on the scene & another project underway 😊😊Always so useful to show people who are not to sure , how jobs like servicing are done 👍👍👍Another great video which I enjoyed, thank you 😊😊👍
There is also a small inline filter under the joysticks for hydraulic oil which is part of the 1000 hour service but it often overlooked.
Thank you very much. Just bought a U17-3a with 2700 hrs and I'm sure your videos will help unlock a few more secrets the machine has.
They’re a great machine.
Great work. Most machines don't get this kind of proper maintenance and die early in their life.
How do you change the coolant on one of these? The radiator cap seems completely restricted access
Thanks for that!! I have not done the hydraulic filter on mine yet [just coming up to 1000 hours] but now i know what to expect! Lots easier than i thought it would be!
I was like damn, she’s got some great grip strength when I saw you remove the oil filter. Then I saw it was crushed where you had filter pliers 😂
Looks like a lot of thought has gone into the design to make it user friendly for maintaining. 👍
It really has, you need one now Paul ☺️
Excellent, I learned a lot, I just purchased a new U17 and I appreciate the tutorial,
if you're doing another vid on that machine its worth removing the wear pads bolted on the side for the tracks ( topside) as they might need building back up with some weld like i do every year to save replacing them.
Great idea. I’ll take a look. I’m sure they were in good condition from memory, I had to take a track off when we got it.
You work very well using just one hand
Thanks so much for this. I only just discovered where the battery was on mine. Boy was it a muddy mess. Spent the day cleaning it with the pressure washer. Will change the filters tomorrow..Your video is so very awesome.💗
That’s no prob, they’re a great little machine.
There sure was a lot of Mucka😁 behind that cooler 👍 good instructive video Kim 👌 "Send It"💪👍
Diesel and Oil mix is a great treatment for your wooden trailer deck
Hi Kim, Just to say another great video again, Always enjoy watching them,Those Kubota U17-3 are very good excavators got plenty of power for a small excavator 💪🏻✅
They really have, they’re fab!
A well maintained digger, is a happy digger! 👌 😁 And if it's not happy, we'll, I don't want to find out what an unhappy digger does. Excellent work, Kim!
This is just my thought 😄
Thank you!
Great job Kim! I always manage to get oil up my sleeve when changing engine oil somehow? Lovely looking little mini digger. Fenland Rob
Thanks for the upload, leaves aside, seems pretty clean, straight machine.
It’s a really nice little machine.
Could you explain a bit more about the treatment / control of the rubbish growing in the fuel please?
Love the content . I run plant myself so I really enjoy your channel .where has lord muc been hiding you . Keep going
Thanks Joe, he had a little break I think. He’s back at it now! 😁
Nice comprehensive work there Kim!
Good video - you have encouraged me to do my Kubota BX1880 service! Thanks.
Great! Well worth it.
Great instructional video Kim. Another job well done.
Great job Kimberly, very nice machine, well wear, the in tank fuel pumps are a gift👌👍🙂
Nice job , I work on kubota daily and there so straight forward and easy , I spotted it's got a old 25l drum lid for a fuel cap, you might already be on the case but I've had a few collapse the tank due to the tank not being able to breathe, I did want to let you run into the same problem I did.
keep up the good work and look forward to seeing your next vid 😉
I’m going to have a look, thanks for pointing that out. I didn’t notice. 🫢
Looking forward to seeing the next one ☝️
Great job kim keep them coming 👍☘
Great job, well done Kim. Fantastic entertainment.
Very good Kim thanks for sharing.
Nice work. Thanks for the video.👍
Just the greatest channel 😊♥️
Nice job Kim 🙂. I will say this. I am getting into this. I have 2 projects, not even started yet.. I am a biker, I have a Honda Rebel and a Kawasaki Eliminator that both need attention
You have to start somewhere. I like to thoroughly plan what I’m going to do and attack something all at once.
@@CalamityKim1 I did have the intention to drain the old fuel, remove the battery's and take the tanks off to prevent rust in the tanks. Was going to do this yesterday, but me being a wimp decided it was too cold.. Now I have to deal with this in colder weather because I was being lazy.. Bikes are outside, no shelter to work in.
"a flying anaconda turd" hahhhah had me dying!
Hi Kim, useful video - well done. Are you, or your viewers, seeing an increasing in Diesel Algae? Never had an issue until a year ago and was a sod to clean out. Now use additive on every fill up
Hi there, yes we seem to be having more of an issue lately.
Great video . Nicely done on the oil bung not so much on the hydraulic .💦🙂
New species, flying anaconda, saw one in Brazil many years ago, it did not display wings but admittedly, did not spend much time on close inspection.
That was a good handy job 👍
Nice job they are not to bad to work on ! I’m sure you know but often the inner air filter states they are not cleanable just a changeable part, find this a lot on the chippers and tractors now :) thanks for the video !
Is that because they want to sell you stuff or genuinely not cleanable?
I didn’t look but if it was Fabric type I’d have replaced it. I don’t like blowing filters out. It’s a metal screen however. 😊
@@CalamityKim1 ah fair enough the video didn’t do it justice:) yup I’m the same with filter :)
Great video, thanks 👌
Kim always amazing 😊
Great job
Thank you
D902?
I struggle do stuff with two hands!!!
😂 3:12
Does it drain all the hydrolic liquid that way ?
Not fully no. There will always be some left in rams and pipes with two way hydraulics.
@@CalamityKim1 ok but the 1000 hour hydrolic oil change is this way ?
Hope that wasn't the cookie baking flat sheet. ❓
No need for a grease gun on this machine?? I've never played with one of these machines but surely there's grease point's somewhere....
Off course but nobody wants to see me greasing.
Fuel bug crap.
Tidy little machine
Probably 20$ worth of diesel poured out 😢😢😢😂
Pretty strong lady for "wet spaghetti"
Your audio is way too quiet. My headphones are all the way up and I can't hear you
Want to borrow my hearing aids 👀😁
