The real horror is not communicating for fear of disappointing your loved ones, sending you into spirals where you're in too deep but you don't realize the horror of your situation unless you're dredged out of it. Also dementia like fuck holy shit
This is totally what I was thinking too. Communication is important af ya'll. Also I randomly think about dementia and it freaks me the fuck out sometimes.
Yeah I don’t think I have any Alzheimer’s or dementia in my family but just the idea or the possibility of waking up one day and I couldn’t tell you what who my family, friends or I am scares the hell out of me to my core. I’m literally considering documenting my life just so I or anyone left when I die can say who I was.
The scary part is that I saw everything coming, all of it, the memory loss, the cancer, the guy who is basically described as looking like the devil down to how carries himself, his appearance, and his personality (who but the devil to make such an ironic punishment?). But what truly hit me was the delivery, as always MrCreepyPasta kills it. You are still my favorite narrator because even if I know what's coming, it's still so satisfying, as the delivery, the emotion, the voice acting is just sublime. That ending though was the icing on the cake for this one, her delivery was incredible, if I had heard that on the radio or the news, I would've thought it was real!
I always enjoy the stories with those who gamble their fate. A favor for a favor is still one of the best stories that you've did and I love re listening to it. I dared my best friend to ruin my life follows close.
A favor for a favor was probably one of the first creepypastas I ever heard from mrcreepypasta and it’s one of my favorites along with ‘picture this’, and ‘the seer of possibilities’
Hadn't had any time lately for bedtime creepypasta. Glad I heard this one all the way through without falling asleep with my work load. Absolutely brilliant as always.
See. A lot of people say the NHS isn't fit for purpose. And that may be true being deliberately ran into the ground by the Gov. However they have helped a lot of people over the years, myself included. And being free at the point of use is brilliant.
Yup I have no issues paying my bills. Even with insurance I have massive medical bills from a motorcycle accident. I get calls every day about them also
Excellent story! And well narrated! I'm not a gambler, and I don't know enough about poker to know anything, yet the story and the reading still kept me actively engaged. Once it got to the part about playing with memory chips, I have to admit I started to see similarities between the fictional story and real life with Depression/ADHD. I have lost very important memories. Things I either didn't actively pay attention to and attempt to recall often, I just have no access to the memory of it's even there. I know certain things happened because loved ones say so, and often have pictures, but in my mind, there nothing. Not a single partial memory associated with these events. I don't know if it's the ADHD, the depression, or the meds, but there's a definite sense that something is just gone. So now I'll randomly be like, "wow this is such a good moment, I wonder if I'll remember it in 6 months" or "wow this is such a normal boring moment, I wonder which awesome moment my brain is going to data dump so that I can remember a year from now that I had a very boring, typical day?"
check out "Lighthouse horror", "Viidith22", and Mike Jesus Langer! Viidith22 is a smaller channel but he chooses amazing stories to narrate, and Mike Jesus Langer writes alot of stories the bigger channels do. Mike is really good!
@@DrAsimov Lighthouse Horror is one of my favorites. I just started following viidith but if you want some hotpastas check out The Dark Cosmos and Scary JUJU.
If only Dave knew that he could have won the money easier if only he'd have played a game of Ddakji with me. All it would have cost him was a slap... XD but seriously, this was really good, especially that ending!

This hit home in several different ways, most of them unrelated to one another, but risking everything for those you care about most in life's always been a blessing and a curse. Also I know this was long-term, but short-term memory loss is a huge struggle, I think that's why this one hit a bit harder, that feeling of being lost and the social embarrassment from it, in this case it was just heartbreaking-

Yay, I’m so happy to see a longer video MCP! I’m sure this is going to be a really great one! Edit: What a creepy yet sad tale! I was really rooting or the MC, he won and lost… 😏
This is a truly haunting tale of gambling addiction from start to finish in a way slowly losing urself in the fast paced easy money that by the time u figure out how to win you've lost so much of urself that your no longer able to even remember who you once were
@cryptic_nightmares why did he lose his memory of her? I thought they said it was about whether you won more than you lost? I thought he wouldn't lose anything because it was based on your total of wins over losses being higher not the individual games.
No if he won more than lost his wife would be taken care of. If he lost more than won she wouldnt. He was going to win and lose memories regardless of his overall outcome. Even though he didnt know that is what was at stake.
MCP is one of my top narrator's I spent long hours in a tractor working and am tired of all of the local radio stations but MCP keeps me on my toes of what might be the next twist or turn of the story and has no tells he may be "Cornell Sanders" retelling his conquests

What I would have done for my Mom. Lost her to stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. For a woman that wasn't always there. She was still my mom. Yes I know I have some issues. It still fucking hurts. Great read and great story.
This got me crying in the damn store what the fuck. Okokok so he WON, right? Like she got the money needed. She was "taken care of", even was given the journal which they didn't need to do. He just lost his memory of her. Right??? ... right?
