Gorenje Expert PS 201

Gorenje PS 201 model Expert. Same mechanic as PS 664 bio S and Olimpic 77 due PG 501 timer.
Made for Finnish market in 1984. Has been sitting unpacked for more than 30 years than very little used. Except new shock absorbers everything else is original. Since it was made for northern market all the parts are first class quality other than the machines made for locals. It was a well known practice that Gorenje machines made for export were better quality. Anyway…very happy to own this perfectly preserved Yugoslavian gem.

I haye the fact we have such a thrpwaway society now where it's the norm to buy a new machine rather than get a repaur, but there's so few repair guys wgere i live and repairs are very expensive.

Made for Finland :O I never knew Gorenje exported washing machines into Finland. I don't think import washing machines had a huge market share before the fall of Soviet Union, before that appliances were mostly made in Finland or imported from Sweden from manufacturers like Asko. What are the function of the push buttons ? I guess the first one is for power on/off but the three others ?

Thank you! Those 4 buttons were identical on all Gorenje washers that had pg501 timer. The second one is 60/90 option. The third is spin&delicate tumble on-off. And the last one is rinse hold.

Oh my God 🙂 this machine brings back my childhood memories 🥰 We had the PS 301, which is practically identical to the PS 201. The PS 301 had a slightly different control panel design and 550 rpm spin speed. It has served without serious breakdowns for 20 years ❤

I was just about to ask you if these machines ever have been exported to Sweden, cause it's where I live and if it ever would come up an opportunity to buy one i would hire a van and go get it wherever it was. Do you know Sweden has these as well? I have never seen any on second hand sales sites...

Probably they were but in such a small quantity and probably the spare parts were not properly distributed so i think it’s almost impossible to find it. In Germany more likely.

U savrsenom stanju, svaka cast. Samo ja bih joj stavio grejac 2400W, nema potrebe da toliko produzava vreme grejanja-pranja zbog slabog grejaca, nije mi jasno sto su stavili fabricki 1800W grejac? Inace ljubomoran sam kad god vidim tvoju ps664 bio s hahaha. Pozdrav!

Stvarno jeste. Vjerovatno su imali slabiju struju pa onda grejac od 2,4kw nije bio po njijovem standardu. Pere duze ali je super za zajebane mrlje koje trebaju duze vreme da se skinu.
Hehehehe ova 664 stvarno pravi samu dramu na mom kanalu. 😂
