One of the best scholars in these times, by the mercy of Allah swt. I have learned so much from you brother. May Allah reward you in this world and the hereater and also do the same for your family. I love all your series and topics.
I always appreciate your Neutrality.Even when you have an opinion against a certain Madhab you don't criticize it instead you analyse the issue. Really a Great Scholar
Jazakallah sheikh. May Allah increase you in knowledge and bless you abundantly for all the knowledge you share with the ummah. May Allah unite us all in jannat firdaus, ameen.

SubhanaAllah this is soo enlightening, I've been confused about teraweh for years now, mainly because my family's opinions of it are conflicting. There are members of pray it religiously, there are those who don't at all (because they consider it bid'ah), there are those who actually mocks it and there are some who prays whenever they feel like it, ya3ni "recreationally". I now have a better understanding, jazakaAllah khay 🙏
I’m a bit confused on the notion that taraweeh and tahajjud is the same. I was under the impression that taraweeh was an additional prayer that the prophet prayed in Ramadan
Because of you're limitation bro!! You have to go beyond of you and make so more deeds of there is good in that. There is nothing harm in salat coz it is the highest pinnecle that can apprach a believer to his Lord.
“Learn the recitation of Qur'an from four:`Abdullaah Ibn Mas`ood, Saalim, the freed slave of Abu Huthayfah, Mu`aath Ibn Jabal and Ubayy Ibn Ka`b.” [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
I wondered if the reason was to ease the jamaah from a veryy loong 8 rakaat then why didnt Umar RA just made it shorter while still keeping it 8 rakaat as was the sunnah of Rasulullah ..
@Y Dw I think brother because they had the tradition of reading more than a juz/spara a night so that they read a whole Quran in a month. I don't know but I'm just guessing that is the likelihood. Also they used to recite slowly and take long sajda and ruku. As a Pakistani in UK alot of Pakistani masjid read so fast that there is no peace and tranquility in salah/namaz but when I read with arabs' alhamdulillah such peace and tranquility and sakoon you get from taraweeh. Hope that helps
Listen to dr shabir allys perspective on hadith. He follows what he calls a balanced approach and ensures the quran is always first, but at the same time not to throw away all hadith
Salam. This is not authentic that Umar(R) launched 20 Raka'at Taraweeh. Prophet Muhammad pbuh never prayed 20 Raka'at. There was no existence of Taraweeh in the time of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh nor in the Khalifah of Abu Bakr(R). All they did is Salatul Iayl, Qiyamul Layl, Salatul Tahazzud at home. Prophet Muhammad pbuh, said, Man Qama Ramadana, here qiyam indicates to all the above mentioned Salawat. Those three nights he performed Salatul Tahazzud at dead/deep night(Kharaza fi Zaufi Layl....). In this respect Hadith of Ayesha (R) is the best solution. And Allah Swt knows best.
Common, stop this is disgussting every time this type of discussions start within the muslim community before the Holy Month of Ramdan all the islamic scholars start misguiding their followers about salat al taraavih 8 or 12 or 20. Every year on salat al taraavih debates starts. Every individual is responsible/answerable for his/her own graveyard so why to look in their personal acts its between ALLAH and his slaves.
I think you are disgusting if you don't like what the Shaykh is saying you keep quit. The Ummah need to be reminded all the time. So if you don't like it chill don't be rude.
You are partially right...but the prooblem is not with open minded and full of information viddeos like these...but a problem with general people just not knowing why they are doing what they are doing and really not know whhy they are taking in information.
Head not covered is a sign of munafiq. Liar Yasir tahjud and taraweeh are two different things. After taraweeh you can still wake up to offer tahajud till before fajr azaan.
Please refrain from calling names. If Allah has bestowed knowledge to you that Sheikh Yasir Qadhi doesn't have then you should use this blessing to help people come closer to Allah rather than cause enmity.
So it is a Sunna of Omar, not the prophet pbuh. If the prophet pbuh himself did not teach nor practice such an important Jama'a prayer like Tarawih, but Omar did, does that mean Omar knew better than the prophet? this is ridiculous
He is Sayyiduna Amir Al Mu'minin Umar Al Faruq Radhiyallahu ta'aala anhu. The man whose destiny changed from the prophets assassin to one of the Prophets closest men and subsequently his family through marriage. As the brothers have stated, listen to understand. Fault finding is not acceptable when we're here to benefit from knowledge. Also, in addition to this necessary and informative clip, you should visit the Qur'anic aayah on the matter of taking the lead from the noble companions, especially the great khulafa-ur-rashidin whom the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam had classed as stars. Those who understand how stars served a purpose to travelers in the night and especially the desert, will understand just how necessary following the companions are in relation to the Prophets sunnah. The ayah of Surah Tawbah is 100. quran.com/9/100 - this ayah helps to understand just how lofty their statuses were in Allah's Divine court. Allahu A'lam. We beseech Allah for his guidance and mercy always.
Umar ra made ijtihad regarding this act. All the rest of the sahaba accepted without argument. So thus became ijma. Again in Medina ijtihad was made and 36 was implemented. Again no disputes no arguments ...ijma was established. Is anyone trying to say that all the companions were not aware of the riyawah of 8 rakah . Ayesha ra could have said that everyone is going against the practice of prophet SAW but again no disputes no. agreements. Thus YQ says that only last 100 years someone comes along and says..no ..20 rakah is bidat . This practice of sahabah just goes to show that this mantra of following Qur'an and hadeeth is shallow in practice ....as you can't explain quaran and hadith without recourse to Amal of sahaba (as they saw what prophet SAW was doing and what he meant rather than what he said ) . Otherwise what happens is you take things out of context and the issue of taraweeh so clearly highlights

May Allah reward you for all the goôd deeds you are doing. I learnt a lot from your lecture.
Islam is so simple to follow. Subhan Allah
Alhamdulilah. Very informative. I get so disappointed when Muslims argue like their way is the only way. We must learn the origins of our customs.
He explains in so much detail I have learnt so much from him. Also he doesn't paint a rosy picture he says it how it is.
MashAllah !! very true.

Really a Great Scholar
May Allah be with you and with all of your family
Bi iznillah. Shaykh, you are blessed with knowledge and hikmah. A very rare and beneficial combination. Stay blessed.
Very rare?

Look at the Wisdom of Umar ibn Khattab! United the Jamaa to pray in unity! May Allah be pleased with him!
Mirc yasir qadhi was amazing...this yasir qadhi is let say epic..
اللهم بارك لنا في شعبان
واللهم بلغنا رمضان
Allahu Akbar. Jazaakallahu Khairan Sheikh. You've really explained this so vividly. May Allah bless you abundantly. Awal from Ghana 🇬🇭
Alhamdulillah...
Indeed, Yasir Qadhi is a blessing for all those who like to imbibe different perspectives on every topic. Solid yet fluent talks.

It’s an amazing lecture!
Masallah and Zazakallah
It would be very helpful for us if you link the referenced videos in top right corner!
Like: details of bid'a and etc.
I’m a bit confused on the notion that taraweeh and tahajjud is the same. I was under the impression that taraweeh was an additional prayer that the prophet prayed in Ramadan
Yes , you were wrong. Taraweeh is night prayer that you just do it religiously during Ramadan.
Assalamualikom. Thanks lot.

Top , i will keep this video a reference

I never knew companions could legislate new rulings I always assumed they had all the rules laid out for them
Because of you're limitation bro!! You have to go beyond of you and make so more deeds of there is good in that.

@@laclesamisclub9583 i was just being honest I thought Companions only followed what was laid out before
Assalamalikum happy ramdan to all the Muslim unmah in the world question were do this thump down ppl come from without understanding any of this
Can i do 2 rakkah only
Can i know the name of this alim who said that 20 rakaats is bidat,
Who was the Shaikh claimed that?
where can we put questions to sheikh.
Other people quote Hadith that the Prophet SAW would also pray 20 is this true?
Who are the other 3 people the prophet SAW was referring to when telling people to learn Qur'an from 1 of 4 people?
One of them was definitely Abdullah ibn Masud. If I recall correctly, Muadh ibn Jabl was another.

The Sunnah of rasulullah was to not do it

At 10:45 you say the prophet (saw) instituted an imam for the women when they couldn't hear. Was this a female or male imam?
He said Umar Ibn Khattab rather
Who is that scholar sheikh is referring to ?
I would also like to know, if u do find out, please post it here in the comments.
Shaykh Nasiruddin Al Albani, the famous Albanian Salafi Scholar.
It means prophet pbum used to pray 4+4+3 rakahs
Or 2+2+2+2+3?
2,2 rest 2,2 ,witr
what proof do you have for hadith when quran clearly forbids following other sources
Listen to dr shabir allys perspective on hadith. He follows what he calls a balanced approach and ensures the quran is always first, but at the same time not to throw away all hadith

Omar is from the 4 rightly guided khalifs to just inform u.
He's given that capacity by the prophet (Saw) indirectly if, u get what I'm saying.
Thanks
Listen to the video in its entirety carefully this issues is addressed .You missing the point with simpleton analysis.
