With the wobble problem if you change the strength to match the camera you are working with. I use a bmpcc4k and my settings were medium to low medium settings, with my friend's Canon t7, it was on the lowest strength. To high or too low of strength settings made it wobble.
Great presentation. I know this video is a couple years old. How do you feel about the Crane 3S now. I ended up buying one thanks to you. After a few firmware updates my Crane 3S works flawless. After learning how to properly calibrate the motors based on camera package weight it truly is in my opinion the best gimbal out there.
youre actually awesome. good information, no talk that isnt needed just to stretch the video, no atifical voice acting like i would watch a talkshow and unstabilized footage like you would have to work with after shooting. thanks.
the reason you couldn't have the v lock on the back is that you need to use their battery to have a max performance from the motors. they recommend to power it with the battery for any payload over 3kg.
Great review. Thanks. I just bought the zhiyun crane 3s and I would like buy the Accesories that make it a pro version from your store. How much would they cost?
Thanks for this fine video but just one thing here, jou do not need to have a camera on the gimbal when you are doing the six axis calibration, all you need to do is keeping axis and the gimbal in right position on all axis :)
Great review, thanks. I have two outstanding questions: 1. I wonder if the powerpack will kill all those jitters, as others have suggested? 2. Are the 18650 batteries truly "standard" and easy to replace? For example the 18650 battery compartment in my Moza Air 2 is surprisingly specific and unflexible with the batteries. Only the factory batteries really work! Completely defeats the point of a "standard" battery, no? Ability to use the 18650 batteries that work with the Tilta Nucleus M follow focus would be GREAT.
Did you purchase and have the transmitter attached to run it with your phone? If you did, you didn't mention that. But, I don't see one attached. If you didn't, how are you able to control it with the app?
Hello Friend. I have a problem with Crane 3S. For 6 months now I can't solve the problem😌😌😌When you move forward or backward, does your video jerk? Maybe the power bank for the Blackmagic 6K camera should be placed at the top 👆? I placed it in the back.
Great review Sir George! Do you think this Gimbal is too huge for the Lumix S1H? Do you think the Moza or the Ronin S would be the better choice for the S1H wit the 24-104mm lens? Its 1,8 Kilo.
When is on the gimbal. Can u changes the light on when u filming? Like when is to dark and u need to put more light in the camera to see? So it's can be more easy to color grading it later on??
I just got mine few days ago ,I have a question ,, I did hear minor noise in the motors is the normal? Or have to be silent motors ? Or you don’t hear anything in yours?
A lot of vibrations & judder, especially in the section starting at 06:50. The micro jitters persisted even after stripping down the rig. It's a pass from me. Thanks for the awesome video & early warning!
He didn't know how to use it. There are motor settings that you have to adjust the motor strength and that will get rid off the jittering. He didn't use and test the gimbal properly. Another of those useless pseudo reviews.
Sorry but the stabilization is awful. Could be the higher payload. I'm a professional and I can't present this kind of result to a client. Thank you for the helpful review.
I'm flying a pretty stripped down RED Dragon-X on a Crane 3S, and it's driving me bonkers. With the motors set in the lower ranges, there are a lot of wobbles especially in low mode and/or far off axis, but the higher motor settings yield vibrations. I've balanced and rebalanced my ~10lb payload. One curios thing is that with the extension arm in, its impossible to balance both the roll and tilt axis. One or the other will be slightly off. There was a guy on a forum who sent some footage of this with his FX9 mounted, and Zhiyun basically replied that if the gimbal rolls back to center on the roll axis, it's "good enough." Starting to lose faith with this thing. It's slowing me down.
Hi, I'm actually doing the OFFICIAL tutorials on the Zhiyun Crane 3S gimbal, if you still have problems please try again using following steps, I have used it many times and worked with the RED without any issues. I hope this helped.ruclips.net/video/NojHhgIBqE4/видео.html and about the powerpack, I never experienced on my side at least that it makes a difference in motor strengths, it only for me gives more power output possiblities and extends runtime. That's all. In my guide above you can see it works without any power pack
@@marcelbrandel9078 I hope you're leaving comments on the other 3S videos as well. your video is important for those who are having issues. I was thinking about not going with the 3S because i saw so much wobbling and vibrations and it made me nervous coming from motorless stabilizers, but this changes things. thanks
Good morning, I state that I don’t know English and I write to you using "REVERSO" as a translator. I saw your video "Zhiyun Crane 3S In-Depth Review | Good but not Perfect... " on You tube. As you can guess tried to interpret your beautiful images. I would like to take advantage of your time asking if you know how to provide the maximum footprint that you can install on this gimbal. Simply put, I’d like to use this equipment with reflex cameras: -Nikon D850 with Sigma lens 20 mm. F/1.4 DG HDM Art. Format FX total weight gr 2033 and total length approx mm approx. 210 -Canon 70d with various lenses of which the most bulky is EF-S 90 - 300 mm. F/4.5 - 5.6 USM total weight gr 1255 and total length about mm approx. 193. I set the extreme targets of the ones I used. I hope I’m not disturbing you and that my request is understandable. Thank you for your answers. Cordially. Umberto Pinoli
Seems like a number of people are having issues with shaky motors. I heard this might be corrected by a firmware update. Sounds like really bad business
Yep I returned my 3SE. I thought maybe it was because it was an early unit but it appears things have not changed. I just dont understand why this gimbal is not performing because I owned the Crane 3 Lab and it was super stable and never needed post stabilization in any shape or fashion. I also own a Weebill S and that thing is crazy stable but just not big enough.
Why Don't You Buy A Waist Belt With Pockets From A Company Called "SHAPE" And Then Find A Rod To Suit The Distance From Gimble To Belt Pocket Or Buy The Shape Rod From "SHAPE" & Modify It That Way You you Can Have One Hand Free. I Have A Sony FS7 Shoulder Rig Using The Rod & Belt Setup And I Do Not Get Fatigued At All. I Can Let Go Of My Rig Without Using My Hands. Also Why Not Comment To Zhiyun To Introduce A Waist Belt Setup With An Adjustable Sprung Rod?
I believe the battery pack they sell will improve the torque of the motors and help with the heavier setup especially in undersling low mode.

thats bad and zhiyun is actually not mentioning that clearly on the shopsite. Where is this information from?

pathosmovies from the main website, scroll down to the battery section
I notice you were on your skateboard for most of the test shots. I would like to see more walking shots, please. Thanks.
I’ve noticed a lot of people doing this recently, seems like a pointless way to review a gimbal
Hmmm... So if it is too front heavy, like if you use a super telephoto lens (600mm), it won't balance?
Great review. Thanks. I just bought the zhiyun crane 3s and I would like buy the Accesories that make it a pro version from your store. How much would they cost?
If you auto calibrated the motors in up-right mode, then when you go into low mode, you need to auto calibrate again because the balance changes.
Thanks for this fine video but just one thing here, jou do not need to have a camera on the gimbal when you are doing the six axis calibration, all you need to do is keeping axis and the gimbal in right position on all axis :)
You need the extra Zhiyun battery
It helps give the gimbal more strength
Hi, What’s the name of the app did you use to control it with your phone?
You think this can fit a Sony fs7+xcda unit and vmount battery?
Great video man, that gimbal looks beautiful! So to get this right, the motor is bot strong enough to balance a 500mm lens, am I right?
My batteries only last for about two hours or less. Also can I program movements in V mode?
Crane 3 s vs crane 3 lab
Hi
What do you think is the best deal ??
I used 5d iii , black magic Production 4k / black magic pocket 6k

I was wondering about this with Sigma's 60-600...
You can lock 2 of the arms in place while you balance the 3rd
Thx! Can you control focus via the wheel?

It wobbled because you didnt have the battery addon?
WHere is the link you said we could see more of the set up ? please check your links

the minimum weight is 1.5 punds
So what was your final payload weight?
Thanks for the review! I am a C200 user as well; Do you think it would work well with an easyrig minimax?
Can the Sony NX 200 run on it?
Hey. Tell me, when you use “L” mode, do you have a little shake on the CRANE 3S when you move forward or backward?
Try calibrating the gimbal. I saw that on YT channel "momentum productions"
Michael Studio Films What does this mean ?🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
@@very9000 You said you have a little shake...A calibration is the gimbal self balancing. You can find videos on YT.

The one that I had was completely silent but I had to return it because of oscillations no matter how it was tuned.
why in the hell they did not used 15mm rods.. ?

Monstrous Setup
Can someone tell me the pro package does it include both transmitter and reciever or only transmitter?
Both
when you move, the picture does not twitch?
As long as all axis are balanced (roll, pan and tilt) it will be smooth.
