Very cool update on the 3s - I'm glad they are providing more things (like the extender) as a standard - I've struggled with smaller rigs on their other gimbals trying to get clearance. And thanks for offering up the Weebil - that's very generous. I appreciate all you do for the community!
I'm only a very casual when-I-travel-I-MIGHT-take-some-video type of person, and yet I subscribe here and watch all these definitely-not-for-amateurs stuff. All because you make it quite entertaining, mate. Keep it up.
Compatibility with an EOS C300 Mark II was a real problem for me. This video really helped reduce concerns about the level of compatibility with the Crane 3s. Thanks for sharing. Super helpful.

As a student, I will never be able to afford such a gimbal, I'll try my luck tu win this! 😊 Thank you for your great videos as always and the insane work behind it!
Hi from Bristol, UK! In these unstable times, we all need extra stabilisation. Loved the review, great product, would love to play around on the weebill! x
Thanks for the RED test. I was wondering just how much big of a rig it could handle. Don't think I'd go past the 14 though. Just for warranty sake. In other news, the best solution if you're going to go full rig is to borrow the weight attachment from the original steady cam. Not only will it add the forth axis of stability, but its been around for 40 years so we already know it works. When all the weight is on your waist, your arms are free to just control movements and no longer need to strain to support the weight.
If you’re talking about the Steadicam Arm that attaches to the vest you’re gonna need some type of converter to make the pin at the end of the arm work. Also those arms are pretty expensive plus the vest.
@@leer6871 They make them. But only the authentic professional versions are hella expensive. There are much less expensive brands for those independent operators outside of Hollywood productions. These motorized gimbals are fine but they lack the vertical supression that gives sequences that buttery smooth "floating" movements you see in big box office productions
Krane I’m aware, every steadicam operator that I know (including myself) is confident that gimbals can’t replace the natural and fluid feel of a steadicam. But gimbals are extremely good for things like car mounts and jibs where the camera is moving and needs to be controlled remotely. Those mounts also allow for built in dampening to reduce vibration.
Krane Also Hollywood Professional Gimbal Operators wouldn’t be using a Zhiyun Crane 3s. They’d probably be running a Movi Pro or more recently an RS2 on a ReadyRig, a harness with two poles holding straps that supports a ring that the gimbal sits in. The poles flex and so does the elastic in the straps which dampens motions. I’ve seen that type of stabilization side by side with a Steadicam and it’s pretty close. Steadicam has a different character to the movement but a ReadyRig paired with a high level gimbal is certainly fierce competition

I know im 3 months to late on the prize but I have advise that little red strip inside the battery is supposed to go under one battery then back up so u can pull the batteries out easier without jamming a knife in there or smacking it upside down. It would be cool if u mentioned it in a video because the reason I been binge watching ur channel recently is the wealth of knowledge u put out so I had to drop a piece right back at u bro but much like ur videos this comments well over done peace
Zhiyun basically made as close to a perfect gimbal as is humanly possible, it seems. I appreciate such technical market disruption. It breeds competition, and that's where we all win! You should do a video of this with an Alexa. The clicks from the thumbnail alone would be worth at least an extra $500 in ad revenue lolz
