Demon Slayer has a simple concept but the characters and the moments elevate it more than the animation. Rengoku’s death is one of the most emotional moments potentially in anime history
One of the main gripes I hear about Demon Slayer is how it’s formulaic. Which catches me off guard cuz, that’s the point. It was written by someone who loved shonen anime. It does the genre justice, while still leaving room to be its own thing. Unlike many other shonen however, it cuts it story where it needed to. Doesn’t upscale the powerscaling to ridiculous levels. Demon Slayer tells a unique, and simple story. It’s the minimalist’s anime.

The channel is simple in what it does and puts out a consistent stream of content, while always making it clear that, everything he says is simply his opinion on a topic.. Just goes to show that sometimes the simplest things can be better then the videos with more added post production tricks.. It still takes hard work but because of the simplistic approach, more content gets put out rather then the constant waiting or delayed videos about a trending topic
Mob psycho 100 perfectly fits both, its animation is stellar and its story is my favorite piece of media. I was in a very bad spot in my life weighting a little over 200 pounds, and I picked it up and it made me feel better about myself and made me want to live life again and I ended up losing 50+ pounds. Seeing this story of a little boy whos just trying to figure himself out and his emotions and seeing him grow.
JoJo is definitely an anime where the plot/story carries it. soo many people don't watch JoJo because they look at the art style and get turn off before starting it but once you start it, it makes you a fanboy of us all, and we start referencing JoJo everywhere.

Seven Deadly sins quite literally fits the "Plot carries the anime" in the 3rd-5th seasons. Season 1 and 2 were great, but if it wasn't for the elite plot and characters, most people would drop it.

I dont think Ive seen the portrayal of a main character falling into darkness handled in such a believable way either, the lengths he goes to and how much he considers his old life abandoned is heart breaking at times. Demon Slayer to this day still infuriates me, people that watch the anime get hyped, but for me I always saw it as wasted potential, it could be so much more, the author did such an incredible job with establosh the base for her universe, but since the Author had personal life problem, she had to finish it rushingly, thus abandoning all the build up she built, such as sword color, in the few last arc it became a replaceable blade, when in the beginning it was hyped that it may change color depending on user, etc. The animation is hype, don't get me wrong, but the story, to me is forever unfinished
Story is very different from plot, with story your saying that the characters are good, which are by far the worse i have seen, if you exclude some ( levi, eren, erwin ). Pace is decent, some episodes are very bad though, screen time one of the worse i have seen, fights are good, as long as levi is there, otherwise its boring, not much going on without him. Overall Aot is hella overrated, only plot is good, but its like at the same level with other series.

Attack on titan is the best show to ever come out. I’ve never watched a show that gave me more goosebumps and thrills and suspense and make my brain feel on fire trying to figure out the plot. The plot twists the way it breaks your heart the feelings of despair the feelings of tragedy. No fillers no plot holes. It’s just a masterpiece through and through. It will forever be my top show. Nothing can give me a thrill like that show.

Bleach you can argue. It really fell of after Hueco Mundo. The final arc was the nail in the coffin but the fans brought it back for a proper conclusion. Even the manga for Bleach was rushed since it was either "Finish off your last arc" or "Cancellation" for Kubo. The animation is really carrying this final arc since the manga was rushed. Had it followed the Manga it would've had the same reviews as many people did feel like it was really rushed.
One of the things I like about demon slayer is the little things you notice when you analysis certain parts. For example: Tengen was mainly using his left hand (to save Tangiro, to hold the other end of the blade, ect) and in the fight Gyutaro notices that and cuts -his left arm off -his left eye
I was so happy to be a manga reader when I saw a clip of the fight against Kaito. There's a scene where if it wasn't for the scar under his eye, you wouldn't be able to tell it was luffy. They completely changed the shape of his head

This was truly painful. Episode 1-200 had great animation for a weekly anime in the early 2000s, and ep 200-500 were decent to good, but saying it's carried by animation, when animation (and pacing) is actually the thing that held it back, is just wrong

My only problem with Bleach and One Piece is their filler, mostly(especially with Bleach) because the fillers were random and sometimes out of place with the story(although this doesn’t apply with every aspect of the fillers), I know that the fillers were there to allow for the manga’s story to progress but honestly I think it would be better to just go on a hiatus than to just throw random stories that ultimately end up getting lost in the main plot

I totally agree, kny’s biggest strength is how it’s the generic shounen formula but executed without a lot of the faults of the generic shounen genre

Dude Im watching monster right now and hot damn is that the shit. Its definitely up there. I dont think Ive seen the portrayal of a main character falling into darkness handled in such a believable way either, the lengths he goes to and how much he considers his old life abandoned is heart breaking at times. And DAMN Johan is such a disturbing villain. Real top notch stuff
Demon Slayer to this day still infuriates me, people that watch the anime get hyped, but for me I always saw it as wasted potential, it could be so much more, the author did such an incredible job with establosh the base for her universe, but since the Author had personal life problem, she had to finish it rushingly, thus abandoning all the build up she built, such as sword color, in the few last arc it became a replaceable blade, when in the beginning it was hyped that it may change color depending on user, etc.
The animation is hype, don't get me wrong, but the story, to me is forever unfinished

Story is very different from plot, with story your saying that the characters are good, which are by far the worse i have seen, if you exclude some ( levi, eren, erwin ). Pace is decent, some episodes are very bad though, screen time one of the worse i have seen, fights are good, as long as levi is there, otherwise its boring, not much going on without him. Overall Aot is hella overrated, only plot is good, but its like at the same level with other series.
Obviously haven’t read or watched One Piece and haven’t read Berserk or Vagabond you are missing out on a lot bro stop reading or watching the overrated stuff and read some Berserk that is peak manga and inspired so many manga and anime to be created

Attack on titan is the best show to ever come out. I’ve never watched a show that gave me more goosebumps and thrills and suspense and make my brain feel on fire trying to figure out the plot. The plot twists the way it breaks your heart the feelings of despair the feelings of tragedy. No fillers no plot holes. It’s just a masterpiece through and through. It will forever be my top show. Nothing can give me a thrill like that show.

Bleach you can argue. It really fell of after Hueco Mundo. The final arc was the nail in the coffin but the fans brought it back for a proper conclusion.
Even the manga for Bleach was rushed since it was either "Finish off your last arc" or "Cancellation" for Kubo. The animation is really carrying this final arc since the manga was rushed. Had it followed the Manga it would've had the same reviews as many people did feel like it was really rushed.
No Jujutsu Kaisen? The animation for Gojo's eyes alone cost more than most animes full budget.

One of the things I like about demon slayer is the little things you notice when you analysis certain parts.
For example: Tengen was mainly using his left hand (to save Tangiro, to hold the other end of the blade, ect) and in the fight Gyutaro notices that and cuts

The animation is average at best and while the Wano Arc has many great animation, we can't forget about episode 500-892. This was truly painful. Episode 1-200 had great animation for a weekly anime in the early 2000s, and ep 200-500 were decent to good, but saying it's carried by animation, when animation (and pacing) is actually the thing that held it back, is just wrong

My only problem with Bleach and One Piece is their filler, mostly(especially with Bleach) because the fillers were random and sometimes out of place with the story(although this doesn’t apply with every aspect of the fillers), I know that the fillers were there to allow for the manga’s story to progress but honestly I think it would be better to just go on a hiatus than to just throw random stories that ultimately end up getting lost in the main plot
