Absolutely loved Blake as a kid growing up! Such an arm!

Bruce Coslet spitting every 2 secs 🤣 Jeff Blake was the truth for real 🔥Dunn, Pickens and Scott were lit as well 💯 I remember these games and teams from back in the day. Thanks for the video! #513FORLIFE#

I was at this game. I actually went up into the red seats and sat behind the Marlboro sign because no one was really sitting there. I covered myself with a blanket and took a nap. 😂😂😂

Jeff blake was never a considered an franchise qb ..be he had elite talent..slightly above avg career

Problem was as a Bengals fan the running game was nothing until Dillon was drafted & Carter had a ton of injuries.

In his 3rd season where he was the everyday starter for the first time he made the pro bowl. So I can see why ppl may have had high hopes for him.

Very similar skill set to Russell Wilson.

He had potential. But playing for the Bengals didn't help.
Then he was gone, and it got worse when Akili Smith came along

I’ll never forget this season. They started 1-6 I believe and I was hoping they could get the top pick Peyton Manning. Then they do on to go 7-2 and miss the playoffs, miss Manning and get Takeo Spikes and Brian Simmions. Great players, but no Manning 🤷‍♂️

The Bengals didn’t miss out on Manning as he returned for his senior year at Tennessee.

@ what year was it, the next season then. I just know they had a chance then finished .500 as usual, worst place to be as a team

Yes it was 1997. Bengals started 1-7 in 1997 and then got hot to finish at 7-9, playing themselves out of the possible chance to draft Manning.

@ ok, that was the year. I remember it happening haha, thanks for clearing that up. I also hated that they didn’t take Marshal Faulk over Big Daddy. Think how they could have grabbed Faulk and then the next year Warren Sapp instead 😱🤷‍♂️

Crazy to know that this game was exactly 1 month before Joe Burrow was born. Who Dey!

Bettis certainly wore some ginormous shoulder pads during this era! They are so big that they look like they could restrict his movement, especially turning his head to catch short passes.

43:06 “they’d have to kick it over”. How does the announcer not know the rules? They wouldn’t “kick it over”. It would be illegal procedure and the bengals would get it at the 40.

I never understood why Cowher had such love for Tomczak. He was terrible. Cowher never respected QBs. A big reason why he never won a SB until he got Big Ben.
