Been making this for years, sometimes with the horseradish, sometimes without (depending on my guests) and I’ll tell ya what makes a difference? White pepper. Takes the chicken and the sauce to a whole new level of mad deliciousness!
Best if you use the mox red peppercorn, black peppercorn, white pepper, add 3rd cup apple juice table spoon of sugar ,two and half cups mayo, tablespoon of lemon juice ,table spoon favorite rub ,pinch of Cayenne, shake or two w sauce ,two teaspoons horse radish ,let sit after mixing atleast 3 hrs best next day...
@@dmac7403 apple juice but no vinegar? 🤔 You have a very interesting recipe and I’d like to try it but I feel like the apple juice and the small amount of lemon juice won’t give enough of that acidity…
ALF Raydough I’ve never thought to try it on turkey. But I bet that would be killer. It can moisten the driest chicken. I bet it would kill it with turkey.
A caterer friend was making the 30 years ago, she called it “mopping sauce” …it was before silicone utensils were created, she used an actual mini mop. We fell in love with it 💓
Sam!! I appreciate all of your recipes, explanations of why you are doing certain things during cooking and especially seeing front row the whole cooking process!! I have been cooking your stuff for the past couple of months and it has all been great!! Keep up the great work!
Greetings, I am a time traveler from June of 2023, here to introduce to you a recipe that I consume on a regular basis: The Windsor White Sauce. Take 1 tablespoon each of: mayonnaise, honey, and parmesan powder cheese. This is the base for all variations. Take 1 teaspoon each of: any dry mix seasoning, any wet sauce, or hot sauce. This is the variation for cultures. Take 1 cup of any freshly shredded cheese. This is for, if instead, you are making a pizza or a mac & cheese. Take 1 teaspoon each of: any oil, any vinegar, any juice. This is for, if instead, you are making a leafy salad. Take 1 teaspoon each of: any wet mustard, any tomato sauce, any curry paste. This is for loose meats. Here in Windsor Ontario, we make the best pizza in the world, and we have exceptional culinary diversity, hence this sauce caters to all nations!
This is the best video!!!! Sam gave honor and did not even try and one up it!!! ( i am sure he could) I love that sauce and grew up eating at the restaurant that invented it. Sam said it right that could be used on anything....maybe even skittles :) Great one STCG
Funny, I managed the Wendy’s directly across the street from Gibsons in 1977 and my best friends mom worked there, I never heard of this white sauce until I started seeing it on TV.
He mentioned it in another video but sometimes, it would be interesting if Sam would provide the viewers with brand name items he uses such as that tall black Pepper Mill. It appears to be a great one as they are not all the same when it comes to grinding and producing even grinds etc. He has his flat bottom "wok" made of high carbon steel and tells us all about that but in other cases, his kitchen and food equipment goes unmentioned. The Zyliss garlic press information he uses would be a good foundation for some of the other items used such as the pot/pan, oven ware, bake ware, knives and so forth.
"Cavemen" lived to about 30, if they survived that long. If you had ten kids, you'd be lucky if one made it to age 10. Maybe cross contamination awareness isn't a bad thing? maybe?
Because the chicken wasn't COMPLETELY cooked, and some species of bacteria can withstand temperatures in excess of 140 degrees. So, by ASSUMING the surface of the chicken was hot enough to have killed ALL bacteria, he could have unknowingly contaminated the sauce dish...which he later put int eh extra dipping sauce container. It would have been wiser to split the sauce into two containers and use a separate basting dish.
I m going to do it with a new york steak or ribs and finish on a burger or sandwich with some chees hu;mmmm just an IDEA I love making combination of you different recipes loooooool
First I want to say excellent video, Sam! I can’t wait to try this! Second, man its like people can’t see the forest for the damned trees with all this “cross contamination” bullshit. Has anyone considered the fact that given his obvious cooking experience that he may be managing the cleanliness of his cooking space between shots?? I didn’t come hear to watch Sam the fucking dishwashing guy, I came to learn how to cook something.
Sorry but if your gonna use dipping sauce you shoulda did that first before basting the meat. And no the chicken was not cooked ... it was lightly warmed and flipped to early. Prime example of what he mentioned lol.Dont coat your meat until you see your texture ppl. Sam your still a great cook we all have done things like this lol . Keep videos coming
Sam, did you just pour sauce into the ramekin from the same container you sauced the partially cooked chicken? Ummm, cross contamination. That's a huge non, no. Especially with chicken. Never ever, use contaminated sauce for dipping unless you boil it first.
broooo hes been grabbing up that pepper grinder with raw chicken fingers after only wiping them on a towel, how is his family not ill, maybe salmonella isn't as intimidating as we all thought
Noooo. It looks so good but you can't use the sauce for dipping when you brushed it from the same container onto raw chicken!! That being said, I'm trying this tomorrow, minus the contaminated sauce.
Andrew McGee Exactly. You don’t put BBQ sauce on raw meat when you grill it. It would burn. Oh but wait, people forgot he said that because they were too busy watching for something to bitch about. 🙄
At 2:00, he touches the raw chicken with his hand and then wipes it on a towel. He proceeds to touch the smoked salt, the pepper, the oil, the tongs, the grill, etc.. At 2:50 after touching raw chicken, he wipes his hand again, on the same towel. At 7:55, he eats the chicken and then wipes his hand and face with that same initial towel. This guy is disgusting.
Been making this for years, sometimes with the horseradish, sometimes without (depending on my guests) and I’ll tell ya what makes a difference? White pepper. Takes the chicken and the sauce to a whole new level of mad deliciousness!
Do you still add the the black pepper then?
Isaiah 43:18-19, no, but I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt. It just looks different with the black specks of pepper throughout than without them.

@@allamericancooking use both why I use 2 1/2 cups mayo but you'll get to a point you'll be able to eye ball it and make it your own .
White BBQ sauce is a gift from the gods. It’s Alabama’s greatest contribution to food.
ALF Raydough I’ve never thought to try it on turkey. But I bet that would be killer. It can moisten the driest chicken. I bet it would kill it with turkey.

Max's camera skills have come a long way.
White BBQ sauce can be traced back to Big Bob Gibson's BBQ in Decatur AL. Good stuff.
DS2 yes I am from bama it’s history and the original restaurant is still serving
Best bbq sauce ever! That’s where I live and it’s my favorite ❤️
Sam!! I appreciate all of your recipes, explanations of why you are doing certain things during cooking and especially seeing front row the whole cooking process!! I have been cooking your stuff for the past couple of months and it has all been great!! Keep up the great work!
We marinate chicken and pork chops in the sauce for a couple hours. Our sauce is a bit different but it is amazing! Best thing ever.
Lads, the sauce was put onto cooked chicken he's fine

I've never heard of this before, but it looks fantastic. Will definitely be giving this a try.
Made this for dinner tonight and it was Awesome. Thank you for the assist.

Good job Sam no mustard in it. White sauce goes wicked good on roasted potatoes and corn on the cob
Big Bob Gibson's BBQ in Decatur AL 1925, he added Apple juice to it also.
Close but it is apple cider vinegar not apple juice, according to the people who run it today. They freely give out the recipe.
Funny, I managed the Wendy’s directly across the street from Gibsons in 1977 and my best friends mom worked there, I never heard of this white sauce until I started seeing it on TV.
That is because it was invented in 1978. LOL just kidding =)
Nice patio bbq set up
Driving through Yakima as I watch this!
“And we mix”
Was missing from this.. therefore I cannot make this and must only do the locally made types here in Tennessee. lol
Great set up you have there
Max now knows the noises his dad makes when he is getting a root.
What a cool grill
this looks delicious i will definitely have to try it. Great vid btw.
I'm making this tonight.
What kind of grill did you use? I like how the lid rolls all the back into itself
He has a video titled Kitchen and Grill Appliance Guide that shows the grill and who makes it. I think it's towards the end of that video.
Can you use Japanese mayo?
Love white sauce but I’ve never mopped it on during cooking. Just dunk that entire thigh in sauce after you take it off the grill.
I enjoy his videos! Have tried some his recipes. Great recipes! Would like to see his version of Tamales.
What would you serve with it? Asparagus? Mashed potatoe or potatoe salad?
I am sooooooo trying this!
Shout Bamalama!
I don't mind planning. I do want improv and some arguments (on camera). Food and entertainment that's what the channel is all about!
Hey Sam, what grill did you use in this video? Cool!

It kinda looks like that white fluid from that scene on the alien movie.
Alabama white sauce? I put that $hit on EVERTHING.😜
with all the comments on contamination i wounder how the cave man survuved give me a break if u dont like the was sam does thing watch someone else
the chicken was pretty much cooked when he did it, these people are idiots my man
Exactly I’ve never gotten sick from food and I don’t take any precautions just obviated is shit like make sure it’s cooked.
"Cavemen" lived to about 30, if they survived that long. If you had ten kids, you'd be lucky if one made it to age 10. Maybe cross contamination awareness isn't a bad thing? maybe?
sure is an oldie.
I love making this sauce! The best compliment to “The best beer can chicken” #samsgiving2020
Is it really 2tablespoons of horseradish in 3/4 cup mayonnaise or just a typo?
The chicken was cooked when he added the sauce idk what everyone is shooting cross contamination for

4:39 few things harder too inhale than vaporizing vinegar LOL
sam, where did you get that shirt. i need one.
Anyone talking about cross contam should NEVER under ANY circumstance eat ANYWHERE but home. Holy cow, the ignorance.
Why are you all watching this 2.5 year old video now!?? Sam died of cross contamination in 2019...

Is that a paint brush? 😂
Scared of a hot and smoky grill? I thought you would be used to high heat like that by now.
your son looks like dark haired aron paul
Is that a freaking paint brush???

Robin Wojcik he never brushed it onto raw chicken though. He only brushed it after it had been seared.
wash the chicken and not a problem
broooo hes been grabbing up that pepper grinder with raw chicken fingers after only wiping them on a towel, how is his family not ill, maybe salmonella isn't as intimidating as we all thought
salmonella is nearly wiped out in 1st world countries because of how we raise our chickens
i eat raw chicken all the time i really don't know what Americans and Europeans bitch about all the time
super pretty! I dig xoxo
Wrong.
Noooo. It looks so good but you can't use the sauce for dipping when you brushed it from the same container onto raw chicken!! That being said, I'm trying this tomorrow, minus the contaminated sauce.
Nope..he applied sauce on the 1st side..which was cooked enough to kill any salmonella.
Andrew McGee Exactly. You don’t put BBQ sauce on raw meat when you grill it. It would burn. Oh but wait, people forgot he said that because they were too busy watching for something to bitch about. 🙄
you just totally cross contaminated your Alabama white sauce after spreading it with the same brush😔😔😔
use the brush you rubbed onto raw chicken..
he never brushed any sauce on raw chicken... are you commenting on the right video?
You just contaminated that sauce! Gross
At 2:00, he touches the raw chicken with his hand and then wipes it on a towel. He proceeds to touch the smoked salt, the pepper, the oil, the tongs, the grill, etc.. Charlie Brown easy, don’t watch him🤷🏼♂️
I hope you don't eat anywhere but home.
Go watch another cooking show or beat your pet

cross contamination 😔😔😔 fail ......but otherwise good
🤮
What a whiney cooking guy, wah wah it's hot, if the fires to hot dude, get out of the 'kitchen', let the woman handle it lol
