Okay, why have I never thought of removing the load from the dryer while pulling out my hang ups instead of bending over the whole time while pushing clothes from on side to the other while searching out the damp hangs? I adore your videos...they're far more like our home and family life than some of the other extreme cleaners on social media. I love a clean and organised home but also like to keep things simple and focus on good quality essentials instead of gadgets. Hi Robin, wow that's a lot of laundry! We're 2 people and I do laundry only once a fortnight as we rely on rainwater and we live in a very hot & dry area of Australia. I'm just wondering why you never hang the washing outside? I only ever use the dryer if we have monsoon which we haven't had for a number of years. Other than that everything is dried outside as it dries in no time. As you live in a warm climate as well, I'm just wondering why you prefer the dryer? Thank you!
This is a question that I am asked very often. Most Americans do rely on their dryers - it's true. Some neighborhoods don't permit hanging laundry out to dry, but I am hopeful that might change as people become more and more environmentally conscious. Where we lived previously I hung all of our wash outside, (weather permitting) and I miss that. Where we live now I hang most things inside to dry except socks, underwear and undershirts - because we don't have the space. Our climate is dry, dusty, and windy, plus I suffer from allergies, so hanging clothes outside would only result in clothes that need to be re-laundered. 😊🌸💜
I use a dog mat which has a rim. This contains water from enthusiastic drinking and avoids Lua sliding around the tiled floor (she has very furry paw pads).

Hi Robin - I was happy to see you this morning. I am super lazy and even playing hooky from the pool. I so love going but just couldn’t drag out of bed this morning. I thought maybe you all had gone camping. I am thinking this video has motivated me to get up in a little bit and vacuum all my tile floors and mop them. I used to have a shark steam mop too but have never replaced it after it quit working. I love your canister vac and looked that brand up on Amazon prime day to see if they had a deal but they didnt and they were expensive. I just got a new mattress that has a lift for the head and foot so I decided to wait on the vac. I love that series “the Chosen” and that PureFlix looks like something I would enjoy. One of Rachel’s favorite desserts I make is peach enchiladas. It’s a delicious recipe and easy but high in sugar and carbs. I also make Barefoot Contessa’s plum crisp recipe which is also very good. Thanks so much for this encouragement this morning. I am so lethargic. It’s the heat, humidity and mosquitoes that make summer so bad here now. I stayed in all last summer so this is hard to get used to again. By the way, I am on day 46 of Bible Recap. Are you still getting together with friends to discuss the lessons. That would be so good. I called and discussed yesterday’s lesson in Leviticus with my brother and that was fun. Love to you my sweet sister in Christ.

Hi Cheryl! I assume you are asking about our Berkey Water Filter? I have talked about it and I love it! We use it constantly and recently took it with us while traveling in our camper. There is hardly any maintenance at all other than occasionally cleaning it with some dish soap and water and the filters should last for 3-5 years depending on the water you are filtering. We have very hard water which doesn't seem to affect the performance at all. We are very happy with our purchase and highly recommend it. Vacuums let out a high pitch sound that cats hate. It would probably help if you kept the vacuum out just to let the cats know that it's harmless. I kept my vacuum out for that reason and my cat would hang around while I vacuumed, until it got sick of the sound. Then it would run to the other side of the house 😄
loved the vid! I absolutely love cobbler! peach is probably my fav, but blackberry is a close 2nd! I have a shark steam mop and I love it! the only thing that I don't love is that I need to remember to vacuum the floor, not sweep because it always pushes excess dust to the edges and then I end up using a paper towel or something to clean that up! anyway! thanks for sharing! xoxo

Hi Caleb! I still use my diy laundry soap, but I use some other favorites as well. I used to use it almost exclusively and we have never had any issues with our HE machine which is about 15 years old. 😊

The E-Cloth mop is great and I still love it. I just decided to go back to a steam mop because of all of the floor space I need to cover, but both are very effective and I will continue to use my E-Cloth mop too. 👍😄💜

We've always called Wash Day Cobbler! In the old days, women were so tired at the end laundry day from trekking back and forth to the river, they called it that cause they were too tired to cook! So, wash day cobbler or pie is what I've always called it. You stir together a cup of everything, add fruit, then bake. Simple.

This is one reason why I would never have animals HAIR I hate hair anywhere my own included. I had to tell a coworker once to please not sit in my chair because I don't appreciate the hair from her cat(or the smell I didn mention that) all over my chair. She said it's only hair and I said keep it to yourself several other people thank me for telling get that.
I love using a steam mop. Your Austin is adorable. Our Heeler Sophie tries to eat the vacumn too. We have a dog crate to move and keep clean and water from the dog dish is always all over the floor; so a lot of similiar things to clean up. I hang a lot of clothes right out of the washer too.

Hi Robin - I was happy to see you this morning. I am super lazy and even playing hooky from the pool. I so love going but just couldn’t drag out of bed this morning. I thought maybe you all had gone camping. I am thinking this video has motivated me to get up in a little bit and vacuum all my tile floors and mop them. I used to have a shark steam mop too but have never replaced it after it quit working. I love your canister vac and looked that brand up on Amazon prime day to see if they had a deal but they didnt and they were expensive. I just got a new mattress that has a lift for the head and foot so I decided to wait on the vac. I love that series “the Chosen” and that PureFlix looks like something I would enjoy. One of Rachel’s favorite desserts I make is peach enchiladas. It’s a delicious recipe and easy but high in sugar and carbs. I also make Barefoot Contessa’s plum crisp recipe which is also very good. Thanks so much for this encouragement this morning. I am so lethargic. It’s the heat, humidity and mosquitoes that make summer so bad here now. I stayed in all last summer so this is hard to get used to again. By the way, I am on day 46 of Bible Recap. Are you still getting together with friends to discuss the lessons. That would be so good. I called and discussed yesterday’s lesson in Leviticus with my brother and that was fun. Love to you my sweet sister in Christ.

Hi Cheryl! I assume you are asking about our Berkey Water Filter? I have talked about it and I love it! We use it constantly and recently took it with us while traveling in our camper. There is hardly any maintenance at all other than occasionally cleaning it with some dish soap and water and the filters should last for 3-5 years depending on the water you are filtering. We have very hard water which doesn't seem to affect the performance at all. We are very happy with our purchase and highly recommend it. @@cherylcannon3053 we have the travel size (the smallest). We usually have just three of us at home, so this size works great at home and in our camper. Berkey gives recommendations on their website for the number of people on your household to help you decide the size that will work best for your needs. 😊

Vacuums let out a high pitch sound that cats hate. It would probably help if you kept the vacuum out just to let the cats know that it's harmless. I kept my vacuum out for that reason and my cat would hang around while I vacuumed, until it got sick of the sound. Then it would run to the other side of the house 😄

Rubbermaid makes a decent spray mop similar to your ecloth one for day to day cleaning.

I have a shark steam mop and I love it! the only thing that I don't love is that I need to remember to vacuum the floor, not sweep because it always pushes excess dust to the edges and then I end up using a paper towel or something to clean that up! anyway! thanks for sharing! xoxo

Hi Caleb! I still use my diy laundry soap, but I use some other favorites as well. I used to use it almost exclusively and we have never had any issues with our HE machine which is about 15 years old. 😊

The E-Cloth mop is great and I still love it. I just decided to go back to a steam mop because of all of the floor space I need to cover, but both are very effective and I will continue to use my E-Cloth mop too. 👍😄💜

We've always called Wash Day Cobbler! In the old days, women were so tired at the end laundry day from trekking back and forth to the river, they called it that cause they were too tired to cook! So, wash day cobbler or pie is what I've always called it. You stir together a cup of everything, add fruit, then bake. Simple.

This is one reason why I would never have animals HAIR I hate hair anywhere my own included. I had to tell a coworker once to please not sit in my chair because I don't appreciate the hair from her cat(or the smell I didn mention that) all over my chair. She said it's only hair and I said keep it to yourself several other people thank me for telling get that.

I love using a steam mop. Your Austin is adorable. Our Heeler Sophie tries to eat the vacumn too. We have a dog crate to move and keep clean and water from the dog dish is always all over the floor; so a lot of similiar things to clean up. I hang a lot of clothes right out of the washer too.
