There was a man in my old neighborhood who raised quail deep in his garden patio. He sold the eggs from his garage to neighborhood foot-traffic, $4 for six, or $7/dozen: Half the price than in the local grocer. His garden was amazing using just the quail fertilizer, dahlias as big as my head, a huge avocado tree, 10-12 foot sunflowers, roses of all kinds, and everything medicinal and edible you could imagine. The garden was a big bouquet, too. Rose bush, then a big cabbage, and herbs, a tomato, more flowers, then a vine of beans up a trellis and climbing a topiary giraffe form. He had that garden since the mid-70s and flies the Mexican and American flags together on the same pole at the front of the garden. He healed himself from a liver transplant at age 70. He looked 50. They are awesome animals with high instinctive impulses , just took my quail on a field trip,,,,, it was a success, they came back when called and they now have a belly full of ants,, at 15 days old I'm impressed .

We didn't raise quail this year and regret it. Early springtime will definitely bring 100+ coturnix hatching eggs to our small farm. We harvest the males at around eight weeks and keep the females through the egg laying season. Can't say too many times how delicious both the quail meat and eggs are. We've been really pleased with the hatching eggs we get from Myshire Farms.

The quail are good & healthy looking. Since you have a lot of chicken and pork, maybe think about selling quail eggs. You could expand the flock a bit with some of the eggs then you would have enough to sell at a farmers market. Just a thought. Have a Blessed day.

Watched your previous Quail video, the Quail farmer and heard how they are dispensed . . . they say there is an old quail story, as such, that goes about the quail community and that's why they are so nervous when humans pick them up. Great video, pulling that chicken tractor up hill looks hard. Cheers.

Quail are adorable 🥰 I watch Garden answer and Laura had ground some abandoned quail eggs in her garden bed. So she had her friend incubate them. Well then the sheriff knocked on her door and the set the quail free at 3 days old because it is illegal to mess with wild life in Her area. So they basically killed them 🤔🥺🤦‍♀️ zero
Points here for not actually protecting the wild life in this case😣
