One more thing, Dale. I've been a paramedic for about 20 years now, and have gone to sudden deaths where somebody had cancer and beat it, only to die in some unpredictable way which I won't get into. All this to say, we all have an expiry date and none of us really know when it is. Don't let the cancer define you.
Dale, so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. In April 2014, my doc noticed some weight loss. I didn't even notice it. She asked if I was on a diet? No. We'd better look. They did an endoscopy, and the doc immediately told me, "You have esophageal cancer. Went to my doc the next day, she told me not to read the statistics, so I read the statistics. 95% didn't make it. I sold my mill, lathe, street bikes, welders and even my CT70 and XR75. 2nd worst survival rate after Pancreatic. I had the best doctors and surgeons in San Luis Obispo county, the Hiyashi Brothers, Edmund and Howard, did chemo and radiation, then trans hiatal gastroeesophagectomy, removal of part of my stomach and my esophagus. Going into surgery, the brothers Hiyashi were standing there, and told me, "Don't worry. We GOT this." Which really calmed me down. 10 years later, I can't really eat normally. I'm down 100 lbs. Can't start a CR500 any more. But I ain't dead! And they surgeons said a lot was due to my positive attitude . Get well brother.
I've known so many people who have gone through what you're going through Dale. Many lived for years following the proper protocols. Stay strong, my friend.
Life to short the season , you've got to ride the horse you're set on ! Some are fast to the finish others gently stroll . Stay fighting count no minutes breath deep fill your eyes with beauty and blessings that surround you. My prayers are with you 🙏✌️ 🏍️
Thank you for the update. As always, your positivity will be the best thing to get through this. I am sending my best healing and helping thoughts your way. Stay positive! Please give Liza my hello.
Keep doing what you love when you feel able Dale, you can do this my friend....thank you for sharing this update and you are an inspiration to us all, I hope and I pray that I would be as brave as you Dale, keep keeping on 👍 in my thoughts and prayers ❤
I sincerely hope the treatments are wildly successful. Your work and helpful approach have had a wider impact than you can imagine. Thank you for everything you've done!
Sounds like you've got a good team working with you at the cancer center. My mother had breast cancer and after the second chemo treatment is when she started loosing her hair, so we agreed for me to just shave it for her. She's been nine years cancer free now and even picked up wearing wigs when she's in a hurry to go somewhere. She never would've done that before. She enjoys that little trick she picked up from fighting cancer. Best wishes and keep fighting the fight!
@@DaleWalkerHoleshot I'll keep watching you fight the fight Dale. Keep that positive attitude. It does help from what I saw going to several of my mothers chemo treatments.
Dale I am so happy we got to talk recently when I called about building up my Bandit 1200. I am saddened to know that you are suffering. I've owned 6 Bandits and 3 of them were built up from Holeshot performance parts. Owning a Bandit 1200 and knowing I can no longer get the parts I need to build another 150hp monster leaves me wanting to sell the Bandit and buying a modern naked bike. We lost our VMAX Guru here in Cleveland Voodoo cycles so fight with all you got. The world of motorcycling wouldn't be the same without such a passionate person. I love Bandit 1200's and I know you do too. I could of never been the BMXBandit without you. Prayers to your family.
@@DaleWalkerHoleshotI heard that you aren't scared of dying I feel the same. When you spoke about wife and son I felt that same pain. What bothers me, that keeps me up at night when I pass away my wife at 40 will probably remarry. 21 years i spent with her. So if she lives to her seventy's I will be all but a distant memory and she could of been with someone longer then we were together. Obviously I wouldn't expect for her to stay a widow . When she passes who does she spend eternity with. Heaven wouldn't be heaven without her. It tears at my soul. I've asked God but haven't heard back he's probably busy these days.
Keep doing what you love to do and fight that shitty cancer, which I'm sure we will. I've been following you from the UK for some time, particularly from all the work you did with the oil cooled Suzuki engines, I love those engines - there are many people out here wishing you the best Dale 👍🏻
Dale, long time fan and motorcycle enthusiast. That was a very powerful video to face this sickness head on. I am not only a motorcycle guy but, a believer in Jesus and the hope He only can give us is what everyone needs. I haven't kept up with your personal beliefs , nevertheless, I hope you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior to have the real you (the spirit man) carry on to await a new healthy body when we are with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:17 . Blessings & peace to you and your family during this battle.
Hey Dale, have been wondering how you're doing. Life has given you another hurdle. You have always had a winning attitude. Prayers and healing vibes coming for you and your family. Keep up the fight. Much love to you and your family.
