- Can we turn wrecks into riders in JUST 48 hours? This is the 48 Hour Revive And Ride Challenge! In this video we buy two JUNK motorcycles from a salvage yard and work tirelessly to get them running and riding so we can go get ice cream 100 miles away in under 48 hours. The clock was ticking and the pressure is high so sit back and watch the chaos unfold!
This challenge was so rewarding and I hope you enjoy it! Let us know what type of challenge you would like to see us do!

I had an absolute blast doing this! A blizzard has never tasted better. 🎉
Best blizzard yet!
Never seen any of your videos and I won’t be watching anymore not really loved it and you two worked like dogs well done for getting as far as you did by the way I had the same problem idling fine then had it die on me ended up pushing it home just over a wile mostly up hill I have a 2003 cb600f honda hornet I think you call it 599 anyway it was the tank had rust in it cleaned it out with vinegar checked the carbs touch wood it’s ok up to now I did 220miles the next day it’s holding up stay safe guys . Keep em rolling out. Liam
Thanks so much for this video. I am an extremely disabled 68 year old Biker. Can't Ride no longer let alone walk !. Your videos are a life saver. This was the best of your videos so far. You push yourselves to near your limits,as did those fine Honda's. Keep it up boys😊
Well thanks so much and I'm happy you enjoyed it!
How does this comment only get 23 likes?
My buddy owned a salvage yard for 35 years, died several years ago due to cancer but he would have loved this video! You should do more of these. !
🙏🙏
Maaan, that place is incredible. I cant believe how much time it would take to go through everything there. Thousands of motorcycles and their parts!!! What a shame they are closing. It seems like there would be SOMEONE who would want to buy that place and continue selling out of it. Heck of a challenge getting two bikes out of that collection running and 100 miles...in 48 hours!
Yeah it's a huge undertaking so it would be hard to find a buyer for
@@BrickHouseBuilds i think if they had invested into modern advertising, they could have been staying open longer! alas :(
Wow, man, that is just heartbreaking! All those motorcycles, all those parts, this really makes me wish I was a millionaire or something, just to get these machines to a new home where they'll be looked after, and put to good use!
Hopefully they get a second chance with whoever the new owner is
Damn, i never watched almost 2 hrs video on RUclips. I wish we had those junk yards in Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰 So much potential. These simple twins Hondas made to last. Love what you guys doing there, bring them back to life such a limited time. What an absolute blast. 🔥Keep it up guys.
Well I appreciate you watching it! Glad you enjoyed!
Man I'm so sleepy. Lot of will power. Ya'll did a great job. Know the DQ ice cream had to be good. Enjoyed the video and RIDE SAFE OUT THERE! Forgot to mention, I still have my first bike. Hasn't run since June 1980 a 74 Honda CB360 with drum brakes.
We were exhausted. You can see it in our faces multiple times but man it was fun
Awesome work both of you, not just the challenge itself but the editing afterwards. Thoroughly entertaining 👏 👏 👏
2 men, 2 bikes, 4 legends 😁
Well I greatly appreciate that Andy! I know the edit is long but I just hated cutting anything out!
Kudos for getting 48 hours of content down to 2 hours. When is the blooper reel coming out?? 😂
Shoot that last 15 hours WAS the blooper reel lol
😂😂😂
I can't believe I lived an hour away from this place my whole life and never knew it existed. I've tried so hard to get into this Era of bikes but everything I've found was so clapped out. Great video yall!
Glad you enjoyed!
Hahaha
You're actually living my childhood dream. Rummaging through places like this behind my dad hunting z50, sl70 and xr80 parts. Man, thanks for the video! This really takes me back 😊
Glad you enjoyed!
What wasn’t caught on film at 253 in the morning was Seth clobbering the gremlin that shot out of BJs bike…
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well done guys a great watch..
Thank ya!
Hey from the UK guys. What an amazing thing you have done there bringing those bikes back from the dead. So sad to see so many bikes in various states of disrepair. I've learnt a few things just from watching you guys. Safe riding.
Well im glad you enjoyed! I have many more how-to based videos on the channel if you have a quest for more info!
well, you both impressed me. I consider myself a decent old bike mechanic, problem solver- but just the mental thought processes to get, literally 2 pieces of junk back on the road? And not even "good " junk. Kudos to you both.
Thanks so much!
Kaplans went round this .yr ago
Fantastic seeing you give these old bikes life again.
Crazy gandas...
Loved...
These bikes were in the junkyard...
Liked
Congratulations
Very well...
perfect.
Let's go quero see the work speeding up.. The 80's was always open
Loved it. Let’s do this again. It could be a competition next time, maybe more people, some volunteers. Or two people per bike. I am in.
That would be awesome! Adding a 3rd person may be a strong possibility
Magicians is what you guys are! Great video. I was going to watch it in smaller bits but watched the whole thing in one sitting. Sorry boss.
Haha thank ya! Glad it was able to keep you watching!
Admirable accomplishment guys and so much fun to watch! You’ve inspired me and certainly many more to get old bikes running again!
Glad to hear it and much appreciated!
Hi a great challenge guys, in 1973 learnt to ride on a Honda cb 175,years later got a cb 750 k2,love Honda's, bless you all cheers 🍻
Thanks for the great show! More like this, so fun and inspiering!😊❤
Glad you enjoyed!
That building reminds me of an old warehouse in Maine I went to years ago with my dad that was very similar, 4 or 5 floors of just wall to wall bikes and parts. it was cool as hell, wish I could go for a walk around there again.
I own a 1979 honda cd/cl70 first owner since it was bought ,fixed it w/ my grandfather, it was in a similar state, you just cannot go wrong with Honda's.Sadly my grandfather past away in 2022
Well I love that you two had that project together. Those memories live on
Real testimony to the old tech. Once in the era of higher technology once they cut out on you you’re sunk….THE END …. Back to the shop.
Great fun video!👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed!
Great video guys! This was like a bunch of motorcycle/car movies rolled into one road trip! This is right up there with any movie I have seen in the last couple of years, maybe longer than that. Waiting for guys to do this with an airplane!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Heck yeah that would be awesome!
…what great project…this is motorcyclelove🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 it reminds me of my old Honda CB900 Boldor…and I were so happy when it runs first time after 25years. Please more bike rescue television🙏🏼🏍️💨💨💨
Glad you enjoyed!
absolutely
Squirt some pre mix into the jugs. The gas will help un-gum the rings and the 2 stroke oil will lube it up!!
You did it, great!! I'd lik to see one or both of those bikes fully restored by a complete rookie, while you are teaching him how to do it. I think it could be fun and very interesting. :)
Glad you enjoyed! They will not be restored as that would not be worth the effort but they are being worked on to go on more adventures which you will see!
@@BrickHouseBuilds I can't wait to see what happens! 😊
Such a fun video to watch, amazing you could get those scrappers running after so little time! Love it, I’m searching eBay for one right now! 😂
Glad you enjoyed!
Only a minute in and I can tell that the one that you are riding is worth at least 100 bucks more with that BHB sticker on it - probably has 4 or 5 more horsepower too!!
It absolutely NEEDED and extra 5hp lol
So good guys loved every bit. I have three project bikes and love my shed time with mates. Enjoy
Glad you enjoyed!
Goes to prove, you just can’t kill a Honda… 😁🤙😎 I love turning junk to treasure… Nice Job! 😃
Glad you enjoyed and of course #oldhondasneverdie
Great show ,guys loved every minute
Glad you enjoyed!
this video makes me feel a ton better about riding my rust bucket nighthawk 650. Thank you for the inspiration as always. Hope one of these days I can go over it with ya.
Glad you enjoyed!
Those motorcycle salvage facilities are getting scarce. There's not one anywhere near where I live in the south. So they are not really an option for most of us. The ones for sale by owners are where the used bikes are, and the only source for rebuildable motorcycles. And they are usually in better shape than junked bikes. The ease of finding bikes and parts online is probably what put the salvage yards out of business. Sites like Marketplace and others. That's the new salvage yard.
Yeah this one shutting down is very unfortunate as I don't know of another one within driving distance
A good one you can use in the South would be Steve's Cycle Salvage in Tifton Ga
@@MarkYevick Thanks!
Really enjoyed watching this video. What a challenge…hats off to the both of you for putting in a great effort in such short time! Hopefully you’ll do another one in the future.
Thank ya! Glad you enjoyed! We definitely hope to do fun stuff like this
I couldn't even tell you the closet motorcycle junkyard near me. This is, or was, such a great resource to have! So much history there.
🙏🙏
You guys are so lucky to still have places like this. They majorette of old bikes in the UK are shipped in containers from the US at a premium. Keep up the good work 👍
They are becoming few and far between as is the case with this place closing down. Glad you enjoyed!
@@BrickHouseBuildsYeagh like 1 k for og exhaust for z1
You met your own challenge. A resounding success. I hope we will see these two bikes again.
You will absolutely see these bikes again!
Perfect dad pun, “you handle the bars” get it “handle bars” yes!
😂😂 Dad jokes on point!
All I can say is fantastic. Thanks for video. Well done to you both 😊.
Glad you enjoyed!
Loved this!! Great effort guys, hope you’re. Rested up now!
Thank ya! Now that im done editing this monster I can sleep a bit
Extended cut of the build sequence from Grease 2. lol This is so friggin awesome. It's sad to see a place like this close up.
Awesome, well done really enjoyed that! I wish we had parts yards like that in the UK
Glad you enjoyed thank you!
I am impressed! Greetings from Germany!
Glad you enjoyed!
Awesome idea for a video and the execution was simply top notch. Great work!!!
Much appreciated 🤘
You guys rock! Greetz from gemany!
🤘🤘
Great job boys!
I’m curious to see what you’ll do next with those gems.
Maybe get em running n stopping sweet… but keep em looking grungy as heck. I dig the ratchet-strapped gas tank look.
We definitely have more plans for them and of course videos! Just stay tuned 🤘
You guys just found my heaven, I'd be trying to build them all
Definitely hard to see them go to waste
@@BrickHouseBuilds Wish I had the $ and time to bring them all back to life
If I rode those bikes on the road in Melbourne au the coppers would have a field day. You are very lucky in the states seems a lot more lenient than down here. Loved this video keep them coming guys.
Glad you enjoyed! As far as the authorities they are people too and I feel being honest and polite has worked well for me. They would get a kick out of the story.
You fellas are inspirational. Great job!
Thank ya!
I bet that ice cream was the best ever and your bed was the only other thing that waited for you. What fun and well done.
100% accurate lol. I was sooooo tired. We recorded a clip just after this when we made it to the shop but as we were at 1% energy levels I cut it out lol
Hello B.J. And Seth. What a cool challenge achieved, well done both of you!
I loved the thunder which you obviously arranged to cover the misfires!
I’m going to be interested in what you do with those two thunder dome bikes, and also what the next challenge will be!
Cheers both, Kevin.
That was a heck of a storm! It really did work in our favor! Glad you enjoyed and thank you!
enjoyed every second of this video and i would love to seen you guys doing 200 miles trip on very same bikes. That's the challenge you should do next imo
You will LOVE what we have planned! 😉
Awesome job guys, giving me inspiration to work on my old CB750 or Magna’s. Hey just an idea I know on those cv carbs the diaphragms are notorious for not catching the groove when you put the top cup on. That will cause the same issue you had, you might want to just reseat that one carb.
Glad you enjoyed! Just keep your eyes peeled for the redemption ride!
That place is a goldmine for old motorcycle enthusiasts...I hope all that stuff won't be wasted...because that would be a crime end a real shame....man i would live there......
There was a lot of stuff there still. Just hard to market it all
I hope this wont be the last time we see these bikes... it would be really cool to see them brought back up to usable condition!
No worries there as we are already working on them for future content!
No Lights ✅
No plates ✅
No insurance ✅
Hardly running ✅
Bearly stopping ✅
alright got everything i need to drive 100 miles, cheers guys
🤘🤘
These shows really do show how these bikes want to run even after sitting for decades.
They really do! With that in mind definitely don't miss tomorrow's video!
Buy the lot!
Needed the whole building!
@@BrickHouseBuilds OK, buy ebough just to fill the space the you have. Can suspend a load from the roof. Keep you going for ages
So cool idea and really entertaining to watch.
Edit: Maybe look for WD-40 as a sponsor? 😅
We would definitely accept wd40 as a sponsor lol
Building memories and you guys must love ice cream.
I mean who doesn't
It is a good thing that place is not near me. I would be spending all my free time there. What a shame it is going to be gone :(
Very cool video theme.
Yeah it's a heart breaker for sure 💔
Legend Gents.👌
Thanks Ray!
Just found your channel. I love it, Keep up the great work from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks so much 🙏
Dude I could've fixed so many bikes if I knew this place existed I would've gone there all the time I wouldn't even care if I needed to make it a road trip
One of your followers must know either Ewen McGregor or someone at Disney, this is movie material
🤘🤘
Remember that scene in Iron man, where Jeff Bridges gets angry at the scientist and yells "TONY STARK WAS ABLE TO BUILD THIS IN A CAVE!"? That's how I feel when my gpz750 still wont start after 3 months, and I watch these guys work...
🤣🤣🤣 epic reference lol
@@BrickHouseBuilds Haha it really does feel like that 😅But I did learn a bunch, and the fuel delivery is now top of the list of potential culprits! Great video 🤘
Maintenance only get the bikes running properly with lights and ect and do a state to state run
Moonshine smuggle or something crazy 😅
Hell yeah!
Sad that we are losing these great parts places. Bob's out in Phoenix closed not too long ago. It had four acres of old bikes and a few warehouses.
Yeah it's happening more and more. Online sales likely hurt these places
great video, and well done.
Glad you enjoyed!
dang it, now i gotta go get mint chocolate chip ice cream now
🤣
It's a shame there's nothing like that around here, I'd love to try to get myself a bunch of CB650 RC03 parts and have something to ride around the yard, would do nothing but play with it. Lol
I'm not sure what other bikes have that taillight that I really like. (I did see one in the video though)
Great video! Super bummed the CB wouldn't run right.
Yeah it sucked in the moment but I have updates on that front! 😎
One or both of those bikes is destined for Daytona and bike week. Cruise Main street on them. I like the drum brakes. I had a Suzuki GT 550 back in the 70s with drum brakes. I was amazed how well they worked. And my next bike with a single disk was terrible. Almost dangerous. So when setup right, drum brakes on a bike are not bad. So much for junk yard bikes. I guess there's good reason why they ended up there.
Hell yeah!!
We just called there, I saw a add on Facebook they were selling stuff from there...I didn't know it was closing. My XJ needs some parts. Hope they do something with that place.
Yup, closed down. They had been posting a bunch getting the word out
Real world resurrection- awesome content. More please !
Glad you enjoyed!
Great job fellas! Good stuff looked fun af.!
Thank ya!
wow! i love these kind of challenges👍😎
So much fun!
I appreciate your skills and the tips you offer! I also really enjoy the music you use in the videos.
Well thank ya! Glad you enjoyed!
Absolute mayhem!
Imagine BJ if this was all yours.
Bike build possibilities would become endless 😊
The best mayhem ever!
Man, I'm not at all religious but if I ever did reach a paradise it'd look a lot like that place. I know a lot of that stuff is just the picked over carcasses, but even still there's boundless potential for saving bikes, custom bikes, everything.
Fantastic stuff - nice one on the edit too !
Thanks so much!
Man this was epic what a salvage yard that is so sad to see it close it’s like a gold mine for parts ,loved the bikes you can’t kill a Honda and you both have proven that I bet that ice cream was delicious what a laugh when you went to get handle bars and said fuck it no risers pmsl but honestly guys this was brilliant and when all was done I’m sure your bed looked better than the bikes haha well done to you both absolutely loved it take care and all the best 👍👌🏍️🏍️🏍️🏁🏁❤️
Thanks Peter! Yeah many stories to tell for this one
The stormy weather gave the video a definite Frankenstein vibe. Totally appropriate! They are "alive".
Hell yeah!
You two 😂😂😂🙄 made me chuckle 👍🏻 All in all a good content video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We had some good laughs! Glad you enjoyed!
Well done guys, awsome work. Let us know what will happen with these bikes
Thank ya! We will make follow up videos on these bikes as we already have plans for them! 🤘
That waa pretty cool, guys! I did similar to a 71 CB350 but trying to get it right, not just running. It took 20+ years off and on of frustration but it finally runs perfect every time. For 20 years it sounded like those no matter what I did. Interestingly I had a 71 CL350 with no issues and restored a 72 SL350 that ran with no issues during my 20 year fight with the CB. Lots of others kinds of bikes too but the CB CL SLs are a different breed of their own.
Glad you enjoyed! When they are perfect it's definitely something else
@@BrickHouseBuilds
My final fix was a new set of VM 32 Mikunis. It has Hap Jones 3mm over pistons, a Web racing cam, racing electronic ignition, etc. Smaller non CV carbs would probably do wonders. My bike never ran right from new, bought it from the original owner's family in 2000 with less than 1500 original miles.
@@upsidedowndog1256 that would be a ripper!
@@BrickHouseBuilds
It is.
What an awesome video of an awesome challenge! Keep up the good work!
Glad you enjoyed!
Definitely Roadkill on two wheels! Congrats on the show.
Roadkill and Junkyard Wars are the biggest inspiration!
Awesome job guys
Thank ya sir!
Wow! What a cool place! Wish there was one near me in Philly😊
There may be. They can be hidden
love the content guys 👍🏻
Thank ya!
this is why Honda put Triumph, BSA, Norton and almost HD out of business. Indestructible.
Agreed!
Loved your video, a little over a year ago I picked up a 1974 750 four basket case, left outside for years, had not ran since 1984. I got it running and had the best time doing it. For a challenge, how about getting as many 750 four owners together and riding somewhere, possibly Sturgis ? Alaska? You name the place? My Honda 750 is in Kansas City, and if you think it’s worth while adventure, I’m in!!!!
Now THAT sounds like an idea!
Thank you for all the efforts....great vid
Glad you enjoyed!
You guys should do some sick café racer builds now with them!!!!
Tempting!
Absolute legends!
It was so much fun! Glad you enjoyed!
Great video to many old bikes unloved
