Very late response, but even Em runs out of breath on a big stage, this stage is so small, they're almost standing in one place so it's easy to control their breath as opposed to large stadiums.
Idk why people like jayZ So much his verses sound so flat.. and what he raps about is real mid. That doesn’t really have anything to do with the theme “renegade” And then you got eminem over here busting some sick flows rapping about takin baths with the catholics in holy water with them holding him under, because hes a renegade etc which is the theme of the actual song.
I remember buying the blueprint album and loving every song on it. But when i heard Renegade I thought JayZ is one of the greatest of all time, but Eminem is just on a level of his own, his lyrics, flow and delivery is unmatched.
Idk man, the Collision Course EP of Linkin Park and JayZ may hold that title, and I'm not a huge fan of JayZ. Prior to that, there wasn't ever a successful crossover of those types of genres. It really laid the foundation on how hiphop and rock/metal can fuse.

It looks like hov was not use to the crowd.appealing to a general music lover as an artist is not something everyone can do. I think jay felt a little nervous where as Eminem looked very calm.
Gee is right. Jay Z is used to large hype crowds and Eminem experienced way worse crowds. I used to perform and the crowd definitely brings energy. Bad crowds are uncomfortable even if they’re just bobbing their head. Shits weird, have a good time or gtfo. I legit used to tell the crowd that before my set, and it created a dope atmosphere. Anyways Eminem knew to just get louder, and that’s what made jay comfortable after his first verse. It’s good partnership.
Even though the crowd was dead it's kind of nice to see them actually listening to the music rather than waving a bunch of iPhones in the air trying to get a Snapchat video..
Remember when Em used to say that Jay Z was his inspiration and imagine performing with the person, that inspired you to keep doing your thing and making your dream come true. Then the same person admits, that you're the best rapper and you become better, then your “idol“.
I'm a total Stan, and yes Jay said Em did better on this song, but he never said Em's better overall than him. Jay has been one of Em's biggest advocates of Top 5 and one of the greatest ever period

So he could rip him off properly
Notice how it gets lit when Em spits... that boy understands hip-hop and how to connect words with visions... an artist painting pictures with words... Em tha 🐐

Doesn't matter. Just look at them.
what do you expect? 95 percent of them are white as wonder bread.

how tf is eminem sounding like the studio version in real life
That’s what NOT using auto-tune does.

Oh, wait. You'd have to have a clue to be able to answer that.... My mistake.

Eminem is on the beat yow lov it... ❤
Eminem killed him in the song and killed him in the performance🐐🐐
I swear he's the greatest of all time 🐐
Em entered his verse perfectly the flow and style of voice was legendary

That's not really impressive, even the worst lyrical rappers put mumble rappers to shame. These guys stand leagues above that.
Very late response, but even Em runs out of breath on a big stage, this stage is so small, they're almost standing in one place so it's easy to control their breath as opposed to large stadiums.
I'm still watching this 2019 Jay z the goat
I see mumble rap as a different genre entirely. Listen to mumble rap vocals as an instrument. Don't try to decipher them, just enjoy how they sound
With all the respect Jayz deserves.. Eminem is a gem... one of a kind. Fastest, smartest and most original rapper that has ever lived. Period.
nah
@@AlexParkerEmcee yah
😂 fuck no.
Lol
Idk why people like jayZ So much his verses sound so flat.. and what he raps about is real mid. That doesn’t really have anything to do with the theme “renegade” And then you got eminem over here busting some sick flows rapping about takin baths with the catholics in holy water with them holding him under, because hes a renegade etc which is the theme of the actual song.
I remember buying the blueprint album and loving every song on it. But when i heard Renegade I thought JayZ is one of the greatest of all time, but Eminem is just on a level of his own, his lyrics, flow and delivery is unmatched.
Vote for eminem and a tribe called quest everyday in the rock Hall of fame

Ok so yeah, that was him. Kept looking for him in the crowd
He always had a talent for getting into other guys „videos“
Renegade is one of the best collabs in hip-hop.
Edit: I said "one of the" btw 🙄😂
Idk man, the Collision Course EP of Linkin Park and JayZ may hold that title, and I'm not a huge fan of JayZ. Prior to that, there wasn't ever a successful crossover of those types of genres. It really laid the foundation on how hiphop and rock/metal can fuse.
@@Nick_Jones yes, but this is better.
@@Nick_Jones so what that's just a mashup

Eminem sounds so perfect. Its almost like he is lip syncing
If he didn't put more emotion in, I would lol
They always pre-record it for lives , and probably he lip synced ! You can get it by the way they voice sounds like , live onces have this extra reverb to it

I come back to this video every few months. Such a iconic for sure
And Jay is such a confident artist. He didn't go back, re-write his verse after studying Em's, but let this live as-is. So much respect. A man before an artist.
@Sci_ent_ifiC Sui_neG I disagree, Biggie and Tupac were definitely unique in their own ways, especially 2pac, whos voice always dominates a track, and hyphens rhyme yllables to put his point across.
@@danb4900yeah I don't know what the other guy is on about either, all of them are unique. Eminem is just the most unique
Eminem wrote his lyrics first, he did this song with Royceda59 they just took him off and jay wrote his lyrics. Em gave jay the song.
How do you know he didn't? Lol
Writing isnt even the right term for Jay'z. He doesn't write down his lyrics.
no it's because after Eminem raps anybody sounds... everybody sounds offbeat. Slim Shady is just so smooth, anybody else seems like they're struggling next to him
It looks like hov was not use to the crowd.appealing to a general music lover as an artist is not something everyone can do.
I think jay felt a little nervous where as Eminem looked very calm.
+DeGenZ get out of here I love nas but Eminem kills everyone........
I wish they would perform this live again. 🙏🏽
Em could cure cancer with the verses he spit on this track! Nobody will ever be able to top him when it comes to his creativity and work ethic.
Even though the crowd was dead it's kind of nice to see them actually listening to the music rather than waving a bunch of iPhones in the air trying to get a Snapchat video..
There was no snapchat at that time.

This song is history for hip hop heads. Hov and Shady is still amazing.
Such a clean performance, both on point from start to finish
Eminem's hand gesture while singing is an art in itself let alone the amazing singing.
Ed Sheeran said the same about Eminem and now they are working together. Must be dope for Ed.
Yeah I feel sad for MGK when he felt "when your Idols become your rival" when he wasn't even in league😂
