Blanco Negro yeah I liked some of big Sean’s stuff but I was never like “oh he’s super lyrically talented” and then I heard this verse i was like “wait just a min...” Royce and em killed it as usual and the hook is dope. I agree Danny’s part is ehhh haha i just don’t like his sound so I can’t listen to his verse 😭
Book of Ryan is highly underrated. Royce tackled subjects like therapy and generational trauma really well and it was four years before Kendrick dropped Mr Morale
The thing I love about Eminem’s verse is that there’s multiple moments that’d be the perfect place to end a verse, but he just… keeps going. It’s crazy how the tension ramps up that way.

Most people tend to listen to lyricists at face value. They don't dig deeper and only take away what they shallowly hear. While they have doubles, triples and crazy rhyme schemes.
Eminem has MASTERED, the English language. My first Em album I bought was on a tape! That’s how far I go back listening to Em. I’m baffled how he still comes up with sick lyrics. He’s simply the greatest lyricist that ever lived. I’m awestruck how amazing he is! RAP GOD! There will never be another artist like him. I feel privileged to have experienced his whole career. Thank you Em !
@@randomuruk7230 for me, if you take only rap music in consideration, I think that Eminem is the best lyricist of all time but we all have different opinion on the subject and sorry for my English that's not my native language
2010+ has some amazing Hip-Hop albums; Undun, TPAB, Atrocity Exhibition, MBDTF, Pinata, The impossible Kid, WAVE, 4eva is a mighty long time. Honestly 2010s > 1990s, you probably just are not listening to the right music
Em is the best rapper. Y'all haters will laugh at me when I say this but when he is gone, you will Realize how bad mainstream music has become. Em is a true wordsmith,he has had several different rapping styles over the past 15+ years and he has mastered them all,and to all of you complaining about his new style, just be thankful that he is still here...
Damien Lee It's not even that though, like there is always going to be someone bigger and better. Like Em did his time and innovated Hip-hop when he was in his prime but now he's kinda done. Time for a new generation to build on what our forefathers have done to progress.
While I agree he's definitely a master of wordsmith, I do also think he's been on a decline. It's really the content but the lyricism technics are there if that makes sense lol
I couldn’t believe half those names on seans version were from Detroit too🤯😂 Love stuff like this would be nice too see more massive collabs with people from their own city /state
Danny brown is a criminally underrated artist, people dismiss him for his voice but his lyricism is incredible and the way he uses his voice to set the mood for the story he's telling is unbelievable. There will be no other like danny brown. There will be no other like any of these guys tbh
@@preciousamaechi5887 yeah that's pretty understandable but once you listen to it enough you start to understand. It kind of is like learning a new language
It really pisses me off that people who listen to mumble rap or 6ix9ine type rap says that Em's wordplay is boring or trash. They need more brains than that to know how good Em's verse is
@@ayeejaayy5848I think Sean had the best verse with em being a close 2nd. Sean just had so many double entendres and the way he changed up his flow a couple times
How could people say Eminem ruined the song? If you think he ruined this song, you must not like paying attention to lyrics, cause the way Shady spits, he like forces you to listen. There's no way you can understand Eminem if your just in a car listening to it or playing it with your friends. Eminem connects to each of us individually, so you gotta listen to him individually. But he features in this song so whatever, just fucking listen and stop bitchin, he did what he does on this track, what he's always done.
***** but then again his part of the beat in this song is fast, so his flow is going along with it. I dont think people hear it but his flow is fire in this song.
***** Danny Brown had the best flo IMO but Royce was a close 2nd. Sean was off at parts and yes one of my favs Em was way off on this one. He needs 2 go back to his Relapse flow
Well in my opinion, Eminem made the verse about himself.... Everyone else was repping Detroit HARD but then Eminem came in and started mentioning himself a lot instead of Detroit... thats really my only complaint about Eminem's verse.
Nobody know him in Europe except some (very rare) people who know Bad Meets Evil... I listen Em' since begin so I knew who is Royce. He's one of the best rapper, and if you want my opinion only 3 rappers (alive) can pretend to be "better" than him (no name, except Eminem).
***** Not sure, but I wish he would get the launch he deserves, but hip hop is at age the majority of listeners are not trying to figure out compound complex rhymes, which on one hand I guess you have to respect it, on the other hand, I personal don't like the approach taken by a lot of artist.
C_Manuel Guess what pick any rapper today and have them prepare to battle Eminem get all of there punchlines and metaphors together and EM will still pick him apart. he's way ahead that's why everybody in the rap game stays away from eminem the most when it comes to a beef because em slaughters Mc's
Андрей Гриценко man I watched this vid lots of times & didnt see that. Thanks for pointing it out. R.I.P proof, Em said proof will never be forgotten & he sticking to his word. Respect to Eminem
Ryan Cheverie this guy is probably one of the guys that just likes one song of Eminem. I bet it's not afraid. This song is the definition of lit. All artists had amazing verses especially Royce
"Reminiscin' on listenin' to 50 fifty times a day Back when tenth grade was like fifty days away Tryna get paid fifty ways a day Used to put fifty on the layaway, now my closet fifty shades of grey" *we are not gonna act like Sean didnt just spit fire there*
Everybody is hating on Danny Brow when he has the unique flow and actually had the best line in the song: "Comin' from them streets where they thirsty, starvin' to eat Just a step away from failin', that's why they call it the D"
Also failing/felon.... Danny killed his whole verse and made references that only people from Detroit would get. He also stayed with the "school of hard knocks" literal school theme throughout the verse. People pre judged without really listening or it went over their heads.
Danny has some of the best lines in this song, If you can't understand what he's saying maybe you should read the lyrics it's totally worth it. Even the very first line he murders it. "Coming from the streets where they thirsty, starving to eat. Just a step away from felon/failing, that's why they call it the D" "They say my city is tougher than two fat b****** scissoring." seriously this was an all-star cast in the song amazing job.
Eminem is an animal he just has mastered everything I just love his intensity and his aggression and confidence he just does it with ease no competition here!!

@@syanidemusicofficial9179 it seems like that. it does not sound like he has cuts there, but natural breathing, after every line. it is much harder to do vocals on longer takes, basically imagine that you are doing stunts like Tom Cruise in real life without any cuts, that you are doing it on longer camera takes. same goes for music. Example, Lose Yourself is much harder for rapping than rap god basically, cause Lose Yourself was made on one take (all 3 verses) - you can basically hear how Marshall is breathing. Rap God is difficult, but he did that on much more takes, mainly that fast part does not sound natural. And even if so, many lines are connected by cuts on that track.

Eminem has MASTERED, the English language. My first Em album I bought was on a tape! That’s how far I go back listening to Em. I’m baffled how he still comes up with sick lyrics. For real! So much emotion, passion and drive in this song. STILL

Big Sean went hard as fuck on this. Every other person on this I assumed they’d go pretty hard but Big Sean really stood out
Em is the best rapper.
But there are better people out there.
He has been on the decline for a while. J Ole and Logic are on the come up.
Damien Lee It's not even that though, like there is always going to be someone bigger and better. Like Em did his time and innovated Hip-hop when he was in his prime but now he's kinda done. Time for a new generation to build on what our forefathers have done to progress.
Trust me there are way better people out there that aren't in mainstream.
While I agree he's definitely a master of wordsmith, I do also think he's been on a decline. It's really the content but the lyricism technics are there if that makes sense lol

Sad to see big sean not making it to the TOP 3, his verse here was iconic
Big Sean's lyricism so complex. I'm just noticing these connections years later
Lmfao I wouldn't call it deep but he is great
First time I listened to this shit...It was Sean's bars that enthralled me. I mean, I knew Em's would blow me off, I had to brace myself with Sean's amazing wordplays
Em's verse is fucking fire omg his flow is amazing.

You always gotta bring your best shit when you're on an Eminem track.
Yes.... YESS YESSSSS!!!! I couldn't agree with you more Mo!! One of the MAIN reasons I love him for hip-hop, for rap, for MUSIC!! His talent is on a galactic scale--everyone in the game knows this so they bring their A-game when collaborations take place. He elevates the standard for everyone... Em ALWAYS pulls the best out of everyone...
2:54 Danny Brown lyrics if you don't understand:
Comin' from them streets where they thirsty, starvin' to eat
Just a step away from failin', that's why they call it the D
Arguably the whole reason for all of this honesty
Honestly no honor roll, but honored up in them streets
‘Cause I'm a Linwood nigga, them young niggas hit ya
Put a stack on your head, you'll bleed a lake on Grand River
If you think your hood harder, then I might beg to differ
Know some killers pull the trigger for a Swisher and Miller
If the blicka hit ya kisser, bet yo' ass not rememberin'
They say my city's tougher than two fat bitches scissorin'
So, nigga, I'm a veteran, retire my letterman

This is one of best composed rap songs of all time. I don’t know why this is underrated.
The way Em just rides every beat so effortlessly is mindblowing...it almost sounds like his lyrics are what's pulling it along.

For those who Don’t Get the “Dog in a Vet” line by Big Sean, He’s implying that His friend asked him for a Chevrolet, Or Chevy. So he Put his dog in a “Vet” as In Chevy Corvette. But at the same time it also is a Double entendre that also means to Put his Dog in A “veterinarian” or “Vet”
Bars:
Ohhhhhh
Also a third reference could be that the old Chevy Corvette is a “veteran” vehicle
This song is something special, I listen to it nearly every second day and still love it❤ big love to Detroit from Moscow
This song is a prime example of why rap is so awesome! Fire bars, lyrics and verses by phenomenal artists ! (especially Big Sean & Eminem) The beat was dope and beautiful ! The transitions from each artists was extremely well done, great flows and overall it was a Phenomenal track ! 10/10!!
EMINEM YOU ARE THE GOAT !
Em hated the beat

@@syanidemusicofficial9179 + HE DID IT IN ONE TAKE. Notice how he is breathing after every fucking line. How cool is that?
@@jackcravford8744 really man
@@syanidemusicofficial9179 it seems like that. it does not sound like he has cuts there, but natural breathing, after every line. it is much harder to do vocals on longer takes, basically imagine that you are doing stunts like Tom Cruise in real life without any cuts, that you are doing it on longer camera takes. same goes for music.
3:39 is when i literally get high. Love how em's flow blends with the electric guitar. Shit is crazy!!
Eminem is great and im not surprised but i realized I've been sleeping on Big Sean all these years 😅
Eminem didn't need all does money showing off videos to look 'great' like all those other mainstream rappers because his rap says already enough! just amazing..
