For all of the guys hating on Mikey the guy is doing better than 99.9% of any one of us would do. Guy was thrown into a tough spot for the show to go on and bring US entertainment. Matt will be back when he is back, the dudes a human being going through stuff. If you can’t deal with it, go watch MrShortGame and get his “wealth” of knowledge.

Literally the exact video I’ve been waiting for. I’m really trying to decide between the tsi 3, sim 2, and epic speed. Although I’m still debating about whether to throw the ping LST back in the mix

@Ian Fraser I feel your pain I hit everything half a ball right of center and half a ball up of centerline. I'm always looking for a head that won't hook from that strike. I can't wait to hit this Srixon Zx5 Ventus Black 7x combo

Use a counterbalanced shaft on the Ping to bring the swing weight down?
Do you find strike naturally moves toe side with pings? Does the extra weight play a part in the ball strike location.
What can we do to get the strike on the g425 out of the toe?
Look at that deviation from the ping!

Will you throw ZX7 in the mix with some of the options they had to build up heads?

I have been wondering about grip styles: 10 finger, overlapping, interlocked and their effects. Since there is not a single video on youtube covering this, i wanted to ask you if you could get Mat to try this.

Matt is awesome, and comes from the sales perspective. Mike seems to have a more "builder's" perspective. Like them both. Hurry back Matt, can't wait to have a triumvirate of excellence. And of course, I love to see Matt dropping bombs....

When are you guys going to do a utility iron challenge or something? Haven't seen any two irons three irons competitions on your page
I have a TSI3 199.2G head weight, using a RDX black with a tour velvet flat grey grip + 1/64 playing at the standard 45.5 length. The swing weight is D5.5 how could I get that down to D4.5-5? Would switching to RDX blue which is CB help with the swing weight?
I see you guys use the Birtee's as well. I love mine. I use number 5 with my driver.

You guys should check out the company Switch Grips USA. They have counter balanced grips (78g) without weight and then you can add anywhere from 2-20 grams to the butt of the grip. Should lighten up the ping

Anyone get the total head weight of the SIM2 ? Adapter and screw included ?

Is the total weight of a driver (or any club really) important or is it all about swing weight, or how the club feels when you swing, how heavy or how light. Im thinking maybe some people react more to total weight than swing weight??

425 LST is my favorite driver so far... it will be in the bag for a while
I picked up the 410 LST last year, of course after watching so many TXG videos, and I absolutely dig it. First Ping club I've ever spent my own money on, been more of a TM fanboy, but they really did great work with these LST's
No driver bracket this year? Not a bad idea to include last years models or finalists as well to spice things up a bit:)

So the loft of the SIM 2 was 6 and it was 7.25 for the TSi3. What was the loft of the G425?

I just got my TSi3 8* with Tensei Pro White 1k TX 60g shaft! Love it so far, dispersion and spin rates are so much more consistent than when I had my TS3 with my AD DI 6x. Gained 10y carry too!
How do you like that shaft ? I play fujikura 2.0 tour spec 60g xstiff thinking about pro white k1 Same shaft as you buy never hit it
@@aspavingllc8302 I haven't hit the fujikura, but I've hit the Ventus Black Velocore, and compared to the the Ventus it has more "feel". Not as boardy.
What length did you get? And what is your normal swing speed? Thx

Here's whats crazy about ping. I see everyone review their stuff and they have nothing but great things to say. This goes for irons and woods. Often times, depending on who you're watching, I see people hit pings stuff so much straighter than they normally do. However, the clubs never seem to make it into people's bags. I don't understand why. Instead they end up in some other brand to squeak out maybe 10 more yards yet their dispersion goes to hell, at least on a relative basis. This is another perfect example, look how tight his dispersion is with the ping, especially, back to front. It'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out and what he chooses to go with.
I put the Ping in my bag last year after hitting TM before, the Ping just gives me the launch and ability to shape the ball with control and straightness like no other brand.. The 425 is the best driver i've ever hit and im waiting for my head to come in now.. Nothing beats Ping technology right now, I also changed to the ping i210 irons and made two hole in ones in 7 days within the first month of gaming them.
Ping seems to engineer great clubs that just do what most golfers need them to do which is go straighter consistently. The problem becomes things like looks and feel. People seem to loathe the turbulators on the driver; irons like the i210's are in a good number of pros bags, but they don't look elite enough for club golfers to want to show off at the clubhouse.
@@BurghBeezer94 Kind of proving my point though. Performance is performance. Who cares what it looks like. And in regards to feel, I think clubs get too much credit for feeling a certain way, when imo it's got more to do with the ball. Blades are soft right? But do they feel soft hitting a pinnacle? Not really. My final point would be, people harp on feel of irons, and how they couldn't go to cast irons, yet when you look at their bag most are using cast wedges, the one place you'd really want "feel". So if cast is good enough for hitting a soft 50 yards pitch, why is it not good enough when hitting a full 7 iron? It doesnt make sense to me.
@@BurghBeezer94 I just hit the new 3 wood today without the turbs on them, it's the best 3 wood i've ever hit and it's not even close. I was absolutely mashing the ball.
So how tall are you, Ian? How does height translate into fitting the right driver? Lie angle, shaft length, etc.
Did you not want to add the Cobra RAD in the mix too? Maybe to test at the same time as the Callaway...
Definitely should add Cobra Rad to this build a beast test. That would put all contenders in the running. 💣

I would love to know what the final cost is for each of the "beasts." I think it would be interesting to see what one would expect to pay for a fully dialed in driver versus off the shelf driver with stock options that work as good as stock options can after fitting. Cheers Boys 🍻

Can you choose altitude on the GC Quad? How much does altitude affect ball flight? This would ba an interesting test.
I'm ~1000m above sea level, WGC mexico is ~2000m. Curious how much this would affect distance.
Yes you can adjust it in the software. We set ours at 500ft which is what we are approximately here in Toronto. We have done a test on this previously.

I can only imagine what Ben hogan would have done if he had this technology at his disposal. Back in the 50's he was driving it in the 260 range
Is the blacked out sim2 a custom option from TM or from an aftermarket third party??
Custom. They have many color options for the aluminum ring, crown, decals, etc. Mine is already on order!

Please have a look at older videos. It's often written in the comments that Matty is taking a time out because of personal issues

you can reduce the swing weight if that helps your timing, but swinging it faster is very unlikely
We’ve already done that. That’s why we’re using a 65gram grip.

No, I wouldn’t want the spin lower.
Why no Callaway drivers?
If you're not putting the VA Nemesys in the Ping head you're just kneecapping it. It's an incredible head-shaft combination.
Like to see Ian put a 2016 TM M2 in the mix. Just bought one in excellent condition on eBay for $169. Saw many RUclips videos on it and how great it still is. 2ndSwing did a comparison of each gen M2 thru SIM 2 Max and it’s still outperformed the M4 and M6.

I've always bought Ping driver weights off ebay for swing weight fix. No idea why these guys can't as, you know, they are club fitters....
