What you said at the beginning is a breath of fresh air Dan, there is a stale model used by many for reviewing clubs. Your honest and practical approach resonates so much more with amateur golfers of all abilities. You have really become so natural in front of the camera and should be the number one PGA Professional on You Tube. With Lester by your side you will continue to gain many many followers. Well done Dan! P.S When you said "take it on the course", you weren't kidding! Prestwick, Turnberry, Royal Liverpool, Bearwood Lakes...........!!
Thanks Dan. I really like your manner on RUclips. Very natural and enjoyable to watch. I particularly liked Ben's "Challenge Accepted" when you were fitted at your studio.
Great review Dan I've gamed the ts3 all season and never thought it would leave my bag until the tsi3 came out. I only got around 5/6 yds more with tsi3 but it was the sound and shape of the new driver that sold it for me. I will never sell my ts3 as I've played some awesome golf with it but just couldn't resist purchasing that tsi3
Brilliant review Dan , Their are to many golf pros reviewing drivers and not really telling the real truth . your a breath of fresh air Dan well done .
Well you certainly picked a couple of the best courses in Scotland to try them out Turnberry and Prestwick🏴🏴. Easily the best looking drivers on the market with those old school looks. Great video.
Nice to see a proper review rather than just hitting a series of shots and that’s it. Lots of things go into a club suiting a player so this type of review with the numbers to start followed by actual rounds and feedback for what you like about it is spot on.
Excellent review Dan better than just pros hitting it and seeing how far it goes and how it feels after hitting 2 dozen balls or so in the studio. On course is the only way forward and compare it against your old driver you’ve given it a proper review and workout. 👍
Oh Dan, Dan, Dan. Where is the Leonardo Di Caprio clapping gif when I need it. That was brilliant! A really informative approach and it had an excellent flow to it. Well done to you and the team, sir! You guys are going from strength to strength. I just wish I could invest in a new driver but my two daughters need new school shoes/boots etc all the time.
I've seen quite a few reviews of this driver, and I'd definitely say this was the best. Your honesty about having a bad day with your swing, was a good message to send out.
Great review Dan, and great to see your process in changing over.. the luxury you as a pro have is that ability to extend the test period.. I’ve been fitted for numerous clubs through lots of both pros and specialist fitting centres and none would offer the ability to fit and test before purchase (or refund if not up to expectation on the course) would be great as a low handicap player to have that option.. side note great to see Rich Nelsey, he’s done well since being the tall kid hanging around everyday at Lincoln GC when I was an assistant there... keep the vids coming through lockdown.. ⛳️⛳️👍👍
Good review Dan you are getting fairly good at this now LOL Its all in the fitting mate. Keep up the good work that you and Lester have done so far you to are so good together No bitter comments keep up the great job you are doing and stay safe
I love new kit as much as anyone, but I seriously leaning more towards companies cutting back and doing 2-year release cycles. We're getting more new kit for simply the case of more new kit. There really isn't any marked improvement occurring that makes spending for it a good value proposition. Great review, as always though Dan. Delivery great content.
Funny You talk about the sound of the TS3. Tried it last winter on Gran Canaria and actually loved the club, but thought it had a funny sound. Cannot wait to try the TSi
I'm not really looking to get a new driver this review format was enjoyable to watch regardless. Looking forward to many more of these types of review.
Dan, this was a much better review, watching your journey. I have to say, as a 16 HC I still have no idea how to swing the driver consistently - would prefer to see you using a mid range handicapper comparing the top 3/4 drivers - does it REALLY make any difference driver to driver for £400 odd pounds 🤷🤷
Great review Dan - loved the way you've put the club through its paces in all the different scenarios to give an honest overall opinion - I think Ben fitted me for my T300 irons which have been transforming for my game - definitely going to book a fitting session for a look at the new driver's (once the next lock down is over - grrrrrr!!!!)
You hit the nail on the head when your "miss-hit" went to the back of the green, the off centre performance is staggering when you get one for the first time. Having gone from 905r , 915d4 TS4 and now TSI3 in the last 7 years , the new driver is superior in every way to all the others. As you learn to exploit the clubs performance in off centre hitting and therefore flight shape and height , with basically no loss in distance , you will begin to see how far ahead of the competition this new step from titleist in the driver market really is. regs Andy
Interesting to hear of the possibility of lie angle adjustment on a driver. My irons are all 2 deg upright and inch longer but hybrids, 3 wood and driver are standard. I have never wanted extra length in those shafts but the lie angle could be important for me at 6ft 5.
Got mine in late last week. Played yesterday for the first time with it. Gonna need to get used to it. Quite a bit lower launching than my TS3. I was fitted into the 10* with my current TS3 shaft (AD IZ6S). Had a few that flew lower than I wanted and a couple of squirelly ones. But I hit quite a few really great shots. Found it easier to move it right.
I'd be interested to see your review of the TSi fairways, for me they've been snap-hook magnets - they set up closed. The TSi2 stayed a bit straighter than the '3' for me so long as I got some extra weight in the head but I have to keep going back to the 917F3: it doesn't look as "easy" behind the ball but it comes out far straighter and more comfortable to swing at. I get that you've got a lot on your plate with all the new equipment coming in but I'd be interested to hear your comparison considering you've matriculated with the generations the same way I have. Cheers Dan!
Hey Dan, great video but couldn't the gain in distance come from the 1/2 degree in loft ? Lower spin and launch with more ballspeed would give you the 8yds ,no? I do agree on looks , sound and feel however
This was a really good & interesting review Dan. The Sheils, Finches, and Parfield reviews are old school and easy watching, this was a breath of fresh air. Great content fella, keep them coming. 👌👍😁⛳
No-one seems to be saying that the TSi drivers have whole degree lofts, compared to half degrees with the TS. You've gone from a 9.5 degree with an upright lie to a 9.0 degree. Its clearly made a difference. I've had a lot of Titleist drivers over the years. I used a 975D and 975J, which were both great. The one that I liked the shape of the most was the 905T.
I cant wait to get my hands on one of these in a fit (when lock down restrictions end again). I was fitted for a Taylormade SIM a few months back, and have had a really poor experience with it. I was fitted with a HZDS Green 60g Stiff with a club head speed of 106mph,with this shaft, I found it hard to feel the shaft in the swing and it felt like I had no concept of where the clubhead was, or strike position. I was recently given a Proforce V2 HL Regular by my coach (one he had lying around) an the feeling was much nicer to me, however I feel like i'm leaving performance on the table. Is it silly to be thinking of changing driver already and do you have any suggestions in the meantime?
Always wondered when you and Lester (and many others on YT) talk about being happy with the shaft on your existing clubs - do you keep the old shaft and just swap the head? If you use the head in a shaft it's not been specifically designed for, surely it alters the whole dynamic??
Hey Dan....great review. I actually have a 975 with a regular Ultralight (bore through) shaft that I love......what shaft would you recommend for me in the TSI 3.....thank you ! (driver swing speed is 98 to 100)
Did you stick with the same shaft Dan? (And did you try different options during the fit?) Would like to see some shaft fittings / discussions through the winter. 👍🏻
Hi Dan, nice vid...But I have a question..( maybe for the Sunday show)..A lot of ytubers including yourself have said that you are fitters...so my question is, why get fit from someone else?...surely being a fitter, would that not qualify you as the best person to fit a driver to you...since nobody knows your swing better than you and the numbers your after...
I understand, the only reason Ben would come in for the fitting is that he more kit to choose from. Also it’s not bad to get a second opinion which is no different to me getting a lesson from another Pro 👍
Look like a really nice driver, but the marketing sounds like every other manufacturer and on most websites is £499 which is VERY steep compared to most other drivers on the market
if these drivers have been improving year on year as we are being told we would all be hitting it like bryson I like new shinny stuff like the next man but please these aren't going to make a massive difference to the average golfer every year we hear the same claims and handicaps remain the same, your only going as good as your swing the only thing that remains constant is the price keeps going up

Titles at have stitched up people by not releasing the whole TS/TSI range in one go. They are suited to different players and some will have spent a lot of money on a TS3 when a TSI3 would be more suitable and that’s not fair practice by the manufacturer.

Brilliant video 👍 I was fitted by Ben and it was a fantastic experience
Like this style of review. Too many reviews are just a statistical analysis of 10 to 20 strikes. Well done Dan.

Exactly, key to trying a driver is to test it on the course, not just in a studio or a range
Great review - I am keen to try the driver. A thing that wasn't mentioned is the surefit which really makes a big difference. Thanks

Like the style of review, much better than hitting into a sim & tables of data. I think they have gone back to classic pear shape by all accounts.

They are designed to be used with a whole range of shafts, the player will dictate if it works or not.

I went for the same shaft as before, but I like the options for this year 👍
