I had successful to install google play on my kindle fire HD 7th gen. No need to turn on debug mode, you just have to turn on outside app install from security & privacy. Then download your apk files as long as they are supported by your fire OS version. E.g, I am running fire OS version 5.3. Then I should download apk files support android version from 5.0 (when downloading your apk files, you will see the minimum android version supported somewhere in the website). Hope this helps!

Why the downvotes? It worked perfectly on my fiance's fire hd 8 2018 today (12/28/2018). I did download the files onto my pc then xferred them to box and downloaded es on the fire...
this works, ignore the morons that probably weren't bright enough to follow simple directions.

Don't be quick to call ppl morons, fire hd8 was updated and this method no longer works. Go ahead and try and call me a moron I've been hacking devices side you were in diapers.

@@markb7245 please note that I stated the day that it worked in my comment. I had updated her fire hd 8 to the latest version of the o/s prior to installing the Google apks. The method worked on that day. If it's updated since then I can't help that. Not that it's any of your damn business but I'm 39. I seriously doubt you've been hacking devices SINCE I was in diapers. I will call you a moron for being in such a hurry to press buttons on your keyboard and post a comment that you clearly couldn't be bothered to proofread the drivel you typed.

I've downloaded many different versions of these apk files and have had the same issue. I just downloaded the ones you listed and this same problem keeps happening. I open google play and type in my email and password it goes to the policy screen, I hit agree, and then it immediately closes. This happens everytime I try and log in and I can't get any further! Help!

I had a problem similar to yours. Have you checked is 10.2.98 working well? If 14.3.66 (that I uploaded) doesn't work, try 10.2.98 version. But I can't guarantee it either. I'm so sorry.

SOLVED: After factory resetting, and before any Amazon updates I did the following on my Kindle 8HD 8th Gen that was purchased December 2018.
    - I took out the extra storage card (Make sure some apks install on internal memory),
    -I added a lock-screen pin,
    - I then enabled developer mode. (Not sure this would be necessary but it's possible this might change a setting behind the scenes in the new OS.)
    - After all this, I installed the apks mentioned in the video in the order listed using the silk browser download list.
    - On opening the play store, I was able to log in.
    - I let play services update. I went to the Google Play updates area and stopped all the other updates.
    - After Play Services updated, then I let Google Play do whatever other updates I wanted to and installed a few more apps.
    - After all the updates, I disabled the developer mode and installed extra storage card. (At the moment, I have it formatted as portable memory, not sure if it matters.)
So far Google Play has persisted through several reboots of the device and I believe I am successful. Amazon has also auto updated itself and not caused any issues.
