I think, ultimately, it depends on how much you pay for it. I received mine today and (only) paid 270 euros for it. It was advertised as 'refurbished', but when it arrived, it was 'near new'. Not a mark on it; it's really very much in perfect condition, but without the original box. I have to say that I'm absolutely delighted with mine, but as I say, it depends on how much one pays. If I'd paid 500 euros more (as I've seen them advertised at 800 euros... and even a thousand euros), then I may not be as happy. One has to remember also, that this is an LED-powered projector... so, theoretically at least, the lamp should never need replacing. Contrast that with a standard projector lamp bulb which may well require changing every couple of years, or so, depending on usage. Thanks for your video, btw... it was really useful, especially where you used the hub which I never even thought about using. I shall watch your video again... just in case I've missed anything!
Thank you for your comment. It's great that you got this projector for that price. I absolutely will keep this projector for the price you received. My review was overall functionality compared to the price which was too high. Enjoy your projector, love how we can watch on the ceiling.
I can’t stand the crooked white boarder on the wall. Can this be fix? Can it be removed? Will looks better in an actual projector screen ? Thank you for the video 😊
Very in-depth video. I didnt use a hub, but when connecting via HDMI you should go to Source HDMI. It might not connect via the usb port. Though i agree it should. Thanks for the review!
Yup, I get it, since they have a mini HDMI available. However, when they have USB Type C port on the expensive device, we will definitely expect that Hub feature that does with our laptop. It is charging with USB type C hub though so I expected for it to work with other ports as well.
I did test SDcard, microSD card, external Harddrives and my Samsung galaxy note10 plus phone with the cable on USB Type C hub and all the devices pictures and videos worked fine.
I had a headphone jack on the USB Type C Hub and tried connecting wired headphone on it, however it did not work. The only way it will work via bluetooth. You need a bluetooth speaker, or may work with mini HDMI to HDMI where some speaker or amplifier works with HDMI, which I haven't tried.
Thank you for the review. Csn you use this in Portrait mode / rotate the screen? Does an Amazon firestick work? The Tizen interface on my Samsung TV is naff too so I replaced it with a firestick max 4k and everything is smooth, so im not surprised by the slowness or crashes.
Good question. I think this is made for the landscape/horizontal mode. I did not find any menu where I can change the orientation. If you do microHDMI to HDMI, it should work, which I was not able to try it since I did not have any cable. But with the USB C hub HDMI did not work for the laptop, so I can't say until tested.
the image looks too dimmed. the projector looks fun but the image quality still matters the most. i'd prefer the aaxa p7 projector, also native 1080p but much brighter
Nope. I said on the video. It only fits projector. We need to carry it separately. That's really bad. Hope they come up with new case that fits charger as well
Didn't get chance to check the memory since I returned it. We can install the third party app if it is available on samsung TV OS. For example, plex was available. I don't think we could expand the memory
I am returning mine. Everything is so buggy and laggy, it makes a very painful user experience. Maybe worth $300. I think you are being very nice in the video. Do you know why there are not more videos on it that are not Samsung sponsored?
Yeah. If it's sponsored you can't say bad stuff about it. But also on the other hand you need to pay for it to buy and review it. Most of the big youtubers get sponsored from these company and they are only allowed to talk good thing about it. But for the small/beginner youtuber you need to have money to afford this expensive item, and many times it's not worth it because nobody or very few people will watch your channel/video.
@@sh9688 It might fix with the software update, but the brightness level, hardware issues, noisy, no chromecast, can't be fixed with the software update. In my opinion, it's really not worth the price. (at least not for me)
Thanks for this new video. I guess the plex app on this projector is useless then. I would like to ask if you connected a usb flash drive to the usb c hub with media like movies and photos, if the projector would read that media and display it. Thanks again for this review.
Hi, So, I retested again with the plex app, it is very very slow to load the content. But it did load after a min and tried to play one movie and movie did play fine. I think on that day I was watching netflix and installed this app and tried to use it and didn't work may be RAM issue or less RAM on it which won't handle more than 2-3 heavy apps. Also, I did test SDcard, microSD card, external Harddrives and my Samsung galaxy note10 plus phone with the cable on USB Type C hub and all the devices pictures and videos worked fine.
I want a easy to use smart projector for the sole purpose of watching on my ceiling. Bc I am sick & in bed - day after day. I want lay as comfortable I can and just look at the ceiling. Do you know any & and do u know how I should tilt it to the ceiling? Or is it still better to go for one that is made for watching on ceiling? I am sick of it so I started thinking I should buy the freestyler anyway, was just doing some last check up. The video before yours got me like ”wow it actually seem REALLY good. Seems to have all i need.” Then i ended up here. And now im conflicted… I really need help. I have been googleing TOO much and I am just as confused as when I started except I understand lumens now LOL. I just want it over with. If I can’t get some guidance it will prob end up with me buying freestyler cause it seems the most easy option but I am afraid I will regret it.
I understand your situation and if it's not lagging and you don't want brighter projector than it's good for your convenience. Samsung did create a 180 degree for you to make a ceiling cinema in smooth. I know there is a Halo plus, which has similar or less price than this which has built in battery and brighter light comes with android tv 10. However, I don't want to guarantee on the performance until I try for couple weeks...

Thank you so much for this video. Appreciate your making the extra effort. Helped me make my decision. This projector is not for me. 🙏🙏
Glad I could help!
Are you going to keep it? I think the brightness is just not good enough, even in the dark.
Since, it started to reboot 8 times while watching movie, that really bothered me. Already returned it😂😂
will the charger fit in the bottom of the case?
Nope. I said on the video.

I’m having the same issues, so that boarder will alway be there?
Returned mines as well. Not worth the price tag!
