This is by far the best guide i've seen to Dragon Age: Inquisition... god i love this guide... I've played the game several times, but can't remember which order to light the torches. So simply done, very beginner friendly, just love it. ( i spend quite some time figuring out the best gear myself. If i had had this video, it would've been so much easier!)
Absolutely agree im on my 4th play through and was wanting to achieve things in game i havent. This guide totally explains things easily. Kudos from.a fellow fan of the game And thanks so much for thie time you put in. Its appreciated!
Wow this video needs and, most importantly, deserves more views and likes. Before watching this video I spent hours on end going through many multiple videos just to find out literally all the information that was compiled into this one 12 minute video... Absolute awesome video mate
649buddina Yes, that was exactly my motivation behind the 50+h it took me to do this video. I would have also liked to include more steps from the perspective of someone who just started the game, since I did a new file and achieved all that just to see how quickly I could get these items (within 12h, I had all important schematics), also mention how to get a horse, which is very important for The Hissing Wastes... I have all that footage, and maybe I can do a "helpful tips" side video...
i remember when i finished my first run a few weeks ago, managed to craft 2 daggers that each had over 500 dps (one had a master demon slaying rune, the other a master dragon slaying rune, one could proc pull of the abyss sadly due to lack of materials at the time, the other had hidden blades with 5 extra hits)
to all content makers out there. THIS is how you make a proper gaming guide- straight to the point, no talking, no obnoxious music, just quality content. We dont want a 2-minute rant about how fascinated/wonderful/amazed/horny/perplexed/annoyed/disappointed you are with a certain weapon/armor/etc.
+Justice & Freedom I'm playing DAI for the first time. I figured I'd do everything else on the war table before I go into the story. I'm not a level 24 and just beat the fortress part in the story with the whole fade thing and mega ultra spider. Pretty much know about rare items. I just want to know which is best. I have the shield and what i think is best staff.
Best weapon is depending on which class and which difficulty level you are playing. Some rings or items are not available without specific key or campaign completion,When you are playing first time then " Enjoy the game with full story " Don't really care about items. Me trying to play rogue assassin for 3rd time as solo in nightmare so i usually got lost in some fight or unpleasant if you have to unlock some magic wall or tanky walls with your partners. Here find your best weapons for class. You need to search them properly and need to know the locations so be mindful. Normal difficulty don't need maximum level weapons or schematics.
Awesome guide! I had some guys asking me where to find the best equips in the game. I can't remember all of that from my previous playthroughs. So, I just refer them to this video.
The schematic for the Superior Inquisitor Hat can also appear at the Canyon merchant, which it did in my case, it's kinda random. Great video, helped me a lot. Thanks!
Madison Reed I tried running with two of them both close to 500 dps but I do way more damage with two dual blades d bone one with hidden blades master and the other with walking bomb master switch off various runes and they run from 406 to 450 dps around 140 to 150 aoe...I drop most everything short of dragons solo just attack from stealth hit em with assassinate and spinning blades the extras kick in everytime and they drop and no cool down...wish I could use the nug and I'd do next run solo nightmare but still on ancient console
Was in the middle of this quest just now looking at your videos and a beeping spider came out of know and scared the living willies out of me I thought I slaughtered them all
i still play this game today.. one of the best games ever. voice acting. graphics. and how the characters just seem so life like.. and not to mention the customization is awesome.. playing on nightmare and its alot of fun..
I agree with you. Even for my new account for this video, I played on nightmare to prove it was possible, and the challenge only makes it more interresting
DeathToMockingBirds exactly. im at LVL 20 on nightmare and im pretty much OP now. i got all the tier3 schematics at a very low tier. i couldent kill anything but if you use a rouge upgraded flank move he,she will cloke with no cooling time. usefull glitch in hissing wastelands. ☺ btw awesome vid man..👍
whenever i saved the dreadnought i didn't get them war table missions. although im pretty sure the Seer staff is a lot better than the Archon staff considering that the Seer staff has all offense slots.
Both the 'Wrath of Lovias and Staff of corruption' are better than the one you get with bull, I think you can just purchase those (schematics) when you go to the Black Emporium (which is DLC but it's free)
If you have black emporium, and a lot of money. The preservence schematics and other amazing schematics are available to buy, and I believe they are the best in the game
amazing guide...but one question, the short list issue u mentioned to solve by closing the game and loading and then going to the merchant is not working for me :(
Well, the correct thing to do is going to another area, saving, closing the game, loading, and then go back to the area of the merchant and to the merchant. If you do not go to another area, it will not work. Also, since it's pure random, sometimes it may "re-roll" itself back to what it was, making it seems as if it has not changed. Personally, I'd suggest not worrying about such items. Mostly because now, DLC's provide better weapons, both in the Emporium and other schematics. Also because ultimately, the small difference in damage is not really worth it. I played the game on the hardest difficulty 2 times, and once you have anything tier 3, the game is much easier, even if you do slightly less damage than whatever is the best weapon possible. But if your personality is anything like mine, you'll want to complete every possible side-quest, get every weapons, collect every runes. I don't blame you for this. Just know that when a mechanic as random and frustrating as the short list exist in a game, it's usually a good point to settle for the next best thing, as your enjoyment of the game should be more important than getting everything, at the expense of a long and random mechanic.
yeah i got it..i found out, it was my mistake..u r amazing, ur guide is wonderful..i have now amazing build and i never go down even with higher level on nightmare difficulty
👍Up for this video... its now saved as my favourite 😃....Contains so much valuable content that it will now help me achieve badass weapons and armour.and also help me progress further into the game, its definitely the best video on utube in my books 👌... So thank you so much, You'v earned a well deserved Sub Man much appreciated 😚
or because of the new black emporium DLC, you enter black emporium, get the sulivan blade schematic which is tier 3 but has the same DPS as the tier 4 sword schematic from jaws of hakkon DLC, get attack% on it and for the leather option get critical chance. Nice guide tho, wish I found it earlier.
***** Interresting. I had no DLC, (I thought Black Emporium was in Dragon Age 2). Sullivan Blade is indeed very good for two handed, but the cleaver had better attack and effects. However, Sullivan blade was not a schematic. I expect that if it was, it would indeed be very good.
DeathToMockingBirds black emprium is a free DLC for inqusition and a DLC for dragon age 2. In dragon age inquisitions black emproium is a vendor selling sulivan blade "schematic". It's the same look just a schematic so you can craft your own stats on it. Also it has very high DPS, the same DPS as the tier 4 schematic weapons from Jaws of Hakkon.
***** You are indeed right. Here is the material comparison: Suledin blade: Damage: 24 Metal Offense: 20 Metal Offense: 12 Cloth Offense: 6 Leather Anderfell Cleaver: Damage 22 Metal Offense: 8 Metal Utility: 6 Cloth Offense: 6 Metal Suledin blade is indeed better for people who have this DLC.
DeathToMockingBirds i just wanna point out that the suledin blade schematic does not have any upgrades like grip and pommel for greatswords, but it has very high material cost on it's own (20 metal 12 cloth 6 leather) which makes this weapon compareable even with other weapons AND their upgrades together. Also the suledin blade schematic is best in my opinion only for the reaver spec because of the 6 leather which you can transform into 12% critical chance and that's because you wont find a lot of critical chance elsewhere (ring 5% crit chance, 9 cunning from reaver spec passives, 5% base crit chance from 10 cunning that every class gets since start) and with the blade that's roughly 25% critical chance now if you combine that with the passives (which are not up all the time) you will be sitting around at 50% critical chance for 50% of the time. For non crit builds/non reaver build I would suggest Hakkons Valor schematic (tier 4 greatsword without upgrades a swell) gives non critical chance but gives more attack% and has the same DPS as suledin blade (which is kinda wrong since this one is tier 4 and suledin is tier 3 lol)
I beat the game a couple of days ago... should I start over or continue playing. I have a lvl 21 rogue, gimme some info on what you thing I should do next. If I start a new game what class should I pick?
Rogue (tempest) is the strongest class. But you can constantly switch between characters anyway. In any case, I'd suggest trying a class very different from what you usually play. I usually always play some Mage variant. But I tried warrior, just for fun, and it was very fun. New experiences.
Kimkim Eyes Lindsay Stirling Dragon Age music (linked in the description), + in-game music: - Adamant Fortress - Escape from the fade - Return to Skyhold - Calling the Inquisition - Siege of Adamant
Do you need a mage to get those flames started? Or is there one lighted to get flame for the other ones? Planning to use a rogue main, thought maybe i could stealth through.
Hey man, Very informative video, but I got a question, Would we rather save money and just make the superior battlemaster armor with silverite? Since silverite remove the Warrior thingie and make it avaiable to every class. What would you suggest?
Thanks man that was a very good guide .. the money farm and masterwork trick will help a lot .. by the way at the end of the video which armor and helmet was Cole wearing? the are awesome!!
This is really helpful but i think you missed one important point. You need to get the anarcist in the war table to have the masterwork slot when crafting. That is why people keep on asking you their weapons dont reach the dps you are showing, or they dont see any masterwork success notification.
Bryan Sediego You are right, but since this is a quest automatically appearing upon the player arrival at Skyhold (Part of the quest "Rune Crafting"), and since Emprise du Lion and Hissing Wastes are only available after traveling to Skyhold, I kinda assumed the player would have already done it. Too late for me to shoot this footage, but you are right that it is worth mentioning... I will add it in the description.
Nope. Can be as soon as you craft it. It's not like Witcher 3, where you spend hours getting the best armor only to realize you cant wear it until 8 more levels.
I'm so confused I need an exact run down on those daggers part by part to see how they were crafted. I got the schematic but even with dragon materials mine only get up to 375?
+ryantube180 Bear in mind I uninstalled this game after my video (my mission on earth was over), but here is what I remember: I did the mastercraft trick shown at 9.44 to get + 10%. And added a superb demon slaying rune for +50 dps. However, superb fire rune is more practical, although less dps.
Lol, enjoy, I got copywright striked for it. I have the list of songs in the description, at the end, I'm not sure which one you reference, but yhea, this game has amazing music.
I have played this game yet however I have seen gameplays of it, Is getting the weapons VERY time consuming and long or short? In the end getting a good weapon to fight with I suppose is worth it.
Metin Ünlü very time consuming, since you must play through the story quite a bit to get to each place, plus they cost quite a bit. In the end, if crafted with masterwork + T3/T4 materials it will be worth it.
I am also playing in 2019 and this is my very first rpg. I don't know about anything. How things works. I once accidentally corrupted my saves but i managed to get back by going to my profile and everything was fine.(you've probably figured it by now) Btw are you still playing the game?
the anderfels cleaver is a reward from two war table missions, one called a golden opportunity which you acquire after capturing suledin keep and another called negotiate a deal for weapons plans which you get after completing wicked eyes and wicked hearts then speak to morris, the skyhold quartermaster. keep in mind though, negotiate a deal for weapons plans can reward you a masterwork sentinel shield schematic (basically aveline's unique shield from da2, 29-35-44-48 armor, 10 utility metal, 4 defense metal + masterwork slot) instead if you complete it with josephine and you can get both of these missions. but if you really must have the extra defense slots, the shield of the emperor schematic is a much better bet, as you can purchase it from the black emporium (a free dlc so theres no excuse to you not having it) for 3200g instead of 6000g at the suledin keep merchant or 4500g at the emporium for the dwarven shield, plus it looks FAR better. also, to get that archon staff you will need to kill off the bull's chargers in demands of the qun and unless you have a heart of stone you will NOT be able to live that down (poor krem :'( ). the first enchanter staff schematic from suledin keep is almost as good or you can gather 17,000g together and go back to the black emporium and get a far better one called the staff of corruption which is tier FOUR (94-105-122-125 damage, TWENTY offense cloth, TWELVE offense metal, and six offense leather plus a masterwork). do more than just look at one video, folks. RESEARCH. :p
+Corpsebane101 Thanks. As you could maybe guess through the release date of this video, I did not had access to the Black Emporium as of the release to youtube. But if there is an option out there that would have involved me NOT killing Iron Bull's crew, I would have loved to have taken it. Power corrupts... Anyway, good research, which is truly the key to power in these games. It was exactly after many hours/frustrations of different information videos and blogs that I decided to combine it all in a single useful video, so that others don't have to muddle through many tutorials to know what I learned. But it's true that with the Black Emporium coming out 1 month after this video, half of it could have just been cut to "Visit the Black Emporium... Tadaaa!".
+DeathToMockingBirds lol i meant no offense, mate. a lot of this helped me as well, i only got da3 this christmas and after two playthroughs already i realize i shouldve done said research a lot sooner, it would've saved me so much time and effort. hell i went after the fereldan frostback at lvl 10 with a fire staff and lvl 4-6 gear and it took me nearly an hour and something short of a miracle to take him down. i did get a ton of dragonling scales tho ^_^ i went after him a second time on a new character the other day with the hissing wastes weapon schematics at lvl 12 and wiped him out in just under six minutes
+Corpsebane101 Oh, don't worry, no offense was taken. In any case, you are also right that once you know what you are doing, it is a lot faster. In fact, originally, I wanted to show that you could have all these schematics very quickly, and I did a new character just for the purpose of this video. I clocked in at around 12h after I got my last important schematic. It was very hard to power through Empire du Lion and Hissing Wastes on very low level (as I was focusing on going fast), but it is totally possible.
i set it to casual before i entered hissing wastes at lvl 10 and by the time i was done i also had 150 gurn and halla leather plus a few fade-touched leathers and cloths to my name. bringing a mage with fade step and fire trap and varric really makes that place so much easier
Thanks for the video mate. Can you tell me what are the best masterwork stuffs to add for each of the following build: Reaver two handed, Champion sword & shield tank and rift mage? I added two Faded Touched Fustian on my assassin. The rest in my party i'm not too sure. Thanks.
Thx for the upload it's alot of help I beat this game in 35 hours on my fastest and I played like 7 times but I could never get my weapon dmg past 400 on a dagger or any other we to a great power but I'm planning to remake a character to an artificer so it should be fun. Thx again I'll sub
I don't have a second tomb all I got was the fire rune on the wall. there's 4 pillars with nothing on them and where the tomb is supposed to be there's just a ladder going down. I've searched for 30 minuets.
I just cannot refresh the canyon merchant ware anymore, since yesterday. I could get a few og his schemtatics but i need the battlemage armor one and i couldn't get it yet. I tried anything, i lost the count of how many times i saved in other map, turned off the game (i even ejected the dvd out of xbox), reloaded the game and back to the merchant. Now i only get the little star above the weapons category and i see 1 epic heavy chest and 1 helmet, everytime i come back to the merchant, it only visualize the little star above that category. If anyone has experienced this and solved it, please let me know.
+DeathToMockingBirds what did you do to make your Dagger's DPS ranges into 500. my dagger (the same, came from the tombs) ranges only at 341!!! PLS help me?>! :( :)
That staff never went up to 500 Dps. That was the numbers for the daggers, which is the highest damage of any weapons that were in the game at the time I was playing. I think the staff was around 193 Dps, but I don't remember if I used all the best materials for that one. Dragon bones and skin, with enchantments is not super easy to get, but that create the best crafted items. Still, it's a schematic, so crafting it with whatever you have will still produce a decent staff until you can farm something that will be better.
What was the weapon the warrior was using? Was it the serpent rage? If yes then what materials did you use to make it? Yes I am also wondering about runes and hilts for it as well please.
Yes it was Serpent's Rage, found in one of the tomb. I believe I forged it in Dawnstone (best tier 3 material, before DragonBone). I do not remember the hilt I took, but it must have been one of the One-Handed-Hafts from a random Tier 3 chest, hence why I did not included it in the video. As for the rune, it was a Superb Demon Slaying Rune.
Question: Have you found the Tevinter Longsword schematics? If so, where? I know you're on PC, and I've heard you needed a cheat for that, I'm on PS4, and I'm hoping that isn't true.
+Gary Ott I had not gotten it, and according to forums and dragonage3.wiki (my trusty site to find out most of this stuff), it's only attainable through a cheat engine. Even people who farmed the cradle of sulevin for hours could not get it. But Serpent's Rage has better stats, despite a less impressive looks. But in this game, it seems you can either have the looks or the stats. One of the best material, Dawnstone, made my armor look pink. Well, if pink is going to kill dragons, I will become the pink reaper.
What materials did you use when I craft the staff it has 112 DPS with dawnstone or 115 DPS with dragon bone? Was it because of the upgrades because if so please tell me how you made them my upgrades only give me constitution, magic, willpower, cunning etc.?
Lovro Božičević My staff has 193 Dps. For the grip, I used the Masterwork Battlemage Staff Grip (11 offense cloth), and I dont remember the material, but it must have been King's Willow Weave (+1.75% atk), and for the blade, I must have took Masterwork Archon Staff Blade, which is obtained through random drop, but your next best alternative is Battlemage Staff Blade, from Suledin's merchant. Also, consider the assured masterwork I mention. And put good runes (superb fire rune is a good choice).
Yes. So, you need to be in skyhold, have Iron Bull in your party, and speak to him regularly, trying to make him happy. Far, far in the game, he will talk to you about his crew and a dreadnough (a ship with more of his people). You start the quest, and you are prompted with a choice to save the dreadnough or his crew. If you choose to save the dreadnough, you will have a serie of quests from the war table (I list them in order in the video around 8:20). At the end of all these missions, you will have the best staff schematic automatically. However! I suggest you do not do that. Just getting the best staff schematic you can from the merchant in the Hissing Wastes early on is pretty much exactly the same DPS, and a more enjoyable playthrough.
nice video. Is there anyway to farm dragon materials? especially ice dragon scales and bones (from JoH dlc). Or is there a method to dupe them with the latest patch on ps4? Thanks (:
xmitsuakix you can just go and buy them from the black imporium i believe (not sure about the ice dragon bones) no way to dupe the crafting mats BUT you can dupe items from your storage unit and get infinite gold basically to buy whatever type of crafting mats you need at the end of the game from the black imporium
I haven't unlock bulls quest yet to get the best staff I'm late in the game done tons of quest also beat the while game too. What am I doing wrong?? Please help lol
Prapas Bunmee Honestly, it seemed extremely random to me too. I was maybe three main quest before finishing the game when his quest was available. Even though I was great buddy with him and his chargers. So since I don't know specifically what (if anything in particular), trigger it, my only advice is to speak to him often. However, it is worth noting that this "best staff" is only VERY SLIGHTLY better than the one you can buy in Suledin's Keep. It's literally just 2 more offensive cloth... Which would mean +7% more critical damage (Dragon webbing), or +3.5% attack (King's Willow Weave), or +6% barrier bonus (Dales Loden Wool)....... not that impressive for that much trouble.
Wow not much difference at all. I just picked up and upgraded my first enchanter staff and it is amazing I'm really liking this one and I think it's looks better too. Where is bull at by the way?? Skyhold??
Prapas Bunmee At 7:48 of my video, you see on the map where Iron Bull is. Skyhold, middle floor. Early-mid game, he's in the courtyard in front of the tavern, mid-late game, he's on the 1rst floor of the cavern, beside the stairs. ruclips.net/video/grEBFKjCI9Y/видео.htmlm48s
What's recommended armor/weapon should I get for a Knight Enchanter? And what is ideal to get in Black Emporium, I assume Staff of corruption because it's tier 4?
PHIFan-MIA Anything that max her mana and mana regen, along with effects that boost the Shield (some mastercraft items have this as an effect). Health is important, but mana regen is more important. KineticGTR has done a great video on that. ruclips.net/video/3W4NKY1MnNM/видео.html By the way, to directly answer your question, the armor I show you can get is the best for mage, but I played (and did this tutorial) pre-Black Emporium, so maybe there is something better you can get. Even on the hardest difficulty settings, whenever things got too tough, I just switch to Vivienne, and I'm unstoppable. Her shield and magic sword is just too strong.
Do those light and medium armors have better stats for their class then that heavy armor or it's better to simply craft a silverite version of heavy for everyone?
***** I searched, and apparently, you CAN craft heavy armor with silverite for any class! I did not knew! I also realise that the primary material for the armor does not give it's bonus of defense or utility, so you could use silverite for the primary material, and dawnstone for added health. I unfortunately cant test this (I no longer have my copy of the game). At the base, though, the light armor I suggest is supposed to give around 268 armor, and the heavy 308. It would not give the magical attribute, but for a mage enchanter that should be tanky, I would love to give them a silverite heavy armor.... So it depends on the build. If you need a lot of dexterity for your rogue, use utility leather that will do that, and so forth.
DeathToMockingBirds Yeah, I know about that, but for some classes I found high armor very questionable. Knight Enchanter stands most of the time under the barrier anyway, Champion doesn't have problems with defense either and melee rogues can use equipement from Fade touched Silverite that gives them Guard on every hit. Having Mages walking in a Templar armor is quite ironic though:)
Kironic :) Here is where my tutorial should shine! I did all that on a new file, doing it all as fast as I could. So I was way under level. I deleted my file since then, so I don't remember my exact level, but basically, I was as low a level as possible. It made things very tough for the few mercenaries patches in the Hissing Wastes, and later, the Templars in Emprise du Lion, but after the Hissing Wastes, forge the weapons you just took with whatever materials you have, and you will be significantly stronger. After that, search for the best material you can (mainly in Emprise du Lion, Alphonse Passage), and the rest of the game will be significantly easier.
I explained in the video that the merchant only show 1 random item from the Short List perk, and sometimes none. You have to go to a different location, reload the game, come back there and see if the random item is different. This feature is one of the most annoying one in the game, necessitating RNG for an item you have the money to buy.
Thanks for this great guide. I have completed Bull's quest and all the table's little missions and for some reason didn't give me the staff, could it be a glitch?
AleLovesOpera You have saved the dreadnought in Iron Bull's quest? If so, and completed all the missions I listed, I see no reasons for it. Here's the site that detail which quests to take : dragonage3.wiki.fextralife.com/Masterwork+Archon+Staff+Schematic Click on the missions names to see the sequence and make sure you did it right. In any case, this staff is only VERY lightly better than the one you can buy at Suledin's Keep. As mentioned in an earlier comment, this staff could give you only 2 more offensive cloth... Which would mean +7% more critical damage (Dragon webbing), or +3.5% attack (King's Willow Weave), or +6% barrier bonus (Dales Loden Wool)....... not that impressive for that much trouble.
Hi your video helped me a lot. I've just one question. How I can buy all the thing of the short list without doing the save and load glitch? I must only wait and they appear? (sorry if the english is uncorrected but I'm italian :D )
Well, you still must do exactly what I mentioned in the video to cycle through the short list inventory. But as I suggested, you can just play normally, (going to other places, saving, and going back to the merchant to see if it changed), because just doing the process on itself is very long and boring.
hello am stuck! am trying to get tier 3 archon mage staff and am doing the war table quest. after I did track spies in skyhold I cant find the other quest I have to do plz help
when i go to the merchant in the hissing wastes, it only showes me the option to buy the arms and leg attachment but not the superior and masterwork items
You need the Short List perk. Do you have it? If yes, even then, he only has 1 Masterwork item at a time (check in the other categories). To reset his wares... follow the video from 6:05
I have not played skyrim in... 3 years, I think... And in fact, had never finished the main story line. I put hundreds of hours into the game, doing endless side-story missions, but stopped before finishing the main story.
powerofrah As soon as you can get to them (for minerals and Snouffleurs). However, if you mean farming Lurkers, Gurns and Wyverns (all in the hissing wastes), it's better to reserve this farming for the very end of your run, because it's very hard to kill them on a low level. The whole area is level 19, but I was level 10 and managed to farm a bit (although with great difficulty and many reloads). I came back at level 17 and it was a lot more manageable, especially since I had crafted cheaper versions of the schematics I show in this video (still was very powerful, even with tier 2 or 1 material). After some farm, then I could craft these schematics to my fancy.
+Morten Riis Thank you so much!
+DeathToMockingBirds You deserve that feedback, most of the guides I've found are so hard to understand, but this Is the begginer's helper :]
BR here
+Renato Martins aew poaaaarr
The best guide ever.period.
Absolutely agree im on my 4th play through and was wanting to achieve things in game i havent. This guide totally explains things easily. Kudos from.a fellow fan of the game
And thanks so much for thie time you put in. Its appreciated!
OMG I just love the music in this game . Wonderful video
What music?
A very good guide. A lot of work was put in here, and it is very helpful. Thank you
The guy didn't even talk in it. If I wanted to read a guide I wouldn't be on RUclips
"Save the Dreadnought"
...yeah, fuck that staff. :P
The Chargers... a staff... yeah, "fuck that staff"
+Corey Leighton Besides, the descent gives way better staves anyway.
Save before companion quest. Get the staff. Synch up with Golden Nugg. Reload. Fuck the dreadnought. Still have the staff.
Lynneiah
This is Pre-DLC's.
Correct me if I am wrong, but Golden Nug becomes available during Tresspaser DLC.
That being said,yeah,fuck the stuff.
Gameslord I think it was added when trespasser came out but you don’t need to have it to use golden nug.
2021 replaying prep for "Da4"
Same
Same, can't wait for DA4.
Thissssss
same bro
Sad to say it’s only going to be for next gen systems only so no Xbox one and no ps4 versions of the game

Normal difficulty don't need maximum level weapons or schematics.

just a personal thing, but a staff schem vs having to fight iron bull later, its a easy choice
Its a real easy choice you either get to choose to live or die
Awesome guide! I had some guys asking me where to find the best equips in the game. I can't remember all of that from my previous playthroughs. So, I just refer them to this video.
In depth guides for the win. I've played a dozen time to completion annually. Didn't even know about some of these weapons? Thanks.
Probably the best video ive seen for everything ive wanted ever in this game
The schematic for the Superior Inquisitor Hat can also appear at the Canyon merchant, which it did in my case, it's kinda random. Great video, helped me a lot. Thanks!
Awesome guide! If anyone likes the two handed weapons then 2:43 is the tomb you want!
this is very informative! good job man!
A dagger that has an even higher dps is the “Hakkons Mercy” schematic found in the jaws of hakkon dlc. No dagger I’ve seen tops that one
Stone Stalker blade from decent?
wtf...dude you went in in this guide man! congrats great fucking guide
What you used to craft that dagger? I just cant get it to 500 dps
maileomai Dragon bone?
@@aliamarneh2067 what dagger is in thumbnail
I went to the 3rd and i dint get it ... only the key the gold and the ring but no Schematics...
The music on this video is so epic. Love it!
I'm still unsure, is it just stack attack on staves?
Shaddow20 encore is the best staff no matter what
Kaci Zeigler archon staff has defense and utility slots. im pretty sure the Seer Staff has all offense
whoops that was an offense but it's only one slot. the other two are utility. the seer staff has all offense slots
Great guide, thanks for taking the time to make it.
Got this game now as it is really cheap
Gosh this video is really useful
Both the 'Wrath of Lovias and Staff of corruption' are better than the one you get with bull, I think you can just purchase those (schematics) when you go to the Black Emporium (which is DLC but it's free)
Harm Koutstaal I forgot to thank you for all the other stuff in your video, helped me out a lot
Harm Koutstaal Thanks for the video. I need the info. If your looking for Runes look for green waves in caves. That is how I got fire, Ice and sprit.
Gigital version only lol
How to get the overlord helm?
+Avenash Kumaran Merchant in the hissing wastes with the short list perk.
Thx man
best DA Inquisition guide ever
If you have black emporium, and a lot of money. The preservence schematics and other amazing schematics are available to buy, and I believe they are the best in the game
+GameGasm Hakkons wrath is still the best in game as far as damage because of the 20+12 offense leather. +8 metal offense for attack.
amazing guide...but one question, the short list issue u mentioned to solve by closing the game and loading and then going to the merchant is not working for me :(
Well, the correct thing to do is going to another area, saving, closing the game, loading, and then go back to the area of the merchant and to the merchant.
2024 anyone?
Here.👋
or because of the new black emporium DLC, you enter black emporium, get the sulivan blade schematic which is tier 3 but has the same DPS as the tier 4 sword schematic from jaws of hakkon DLC, get attack% on it and for the leather option get critical chance.
Here is the material comparison:
Suledin blade:
Damage: 24 Metal
Offense: 20 Metal
Offense: 12 Cloth
Offense: 6 Leather
Anderfell Cleaver:
Damage 22 Metal
Offense: 8 Metal
Utility: 6 Cloth
Offense: 6 Metal
Suledin blade is indeed better for people who have this DLC.
Clear, concise, simple - excellent. by far the best guide. thanks for making this video.
OMG i played this and Never red the lore behind the tombs if not fot you bro i wouldn't have learn this , thanks
I just randomly lit the braziers and then demons somehow appeared everytime I light the braziers.
It's good to be a Dwarf, they get the Legion of the Dead armor.
It's the best.
:)))
whats a good spot to get prowler mail arms and legs trying to make a build to were i have alot of dexitert
I know I’m late but this was soooo helpful to get the best weapons thanks!
thx for the rly helpful guide! btw, which soundtracks did you choose for this video?
Kimkim Eyes Lindsay Stirling Dragon Age music (linked in the description), + in-game music:
- Adamant Fortress
- Escape from the fade
- Return to Skyhold
- Calling the Inquisition
- Siege of Adamant
Your Video is TOP!!! I'm Brazilian and helped me a LOT!!!Congrats!!!
This was a great vid dude loved it
Do you need a mage to get those flames started? Or is there one lighted to get flame for the other ones? Planning to use a rogue main, thought maybe i could stealth through.
You do need a mage in your party for lighting the torches, yes.
love your editing style
Thanks for the massive tutorial it's absolutely beautiful!
How did you craft your dagger? I already have the schematics thanks to you :D
Please show the materials used to craft the dagger. Thanks :D
Great guide obiwan! Do you have to be a certain level to use these tier 3 schematics? or can be at say level 10 an use them?
Nope. Can be as soon as you craft it. It's not like Witcher 3, where you spend hours getting the best armor only to realize you cant wear it until 8 more levels.
They don’t have those armor schematics for sale for me?
I'm so confused I need an exact run down on those daggers part by part to see how they were crafted. I got the schematic but even with dragon materials mine only get up to 375?
+ryantube180 Bear in mind I uninstalled this game after my video (my mission on earth was over), but here is what I remember: I did the mastercraft trick shown at 9.44 to get + 10%. And added a superb demon slaying rune for +50 dps. However, superb fire rune is more practical, although less dps.
The music in this vid around 7:00 mins or so is epic.
Lol, enjoy, I got copywright striked for it. I have the list of songs in the description, at the end, I'm not sure which one you reference, but yhea, this game has amazing music.
Can someone please help me I'm looking for the Keepers robes schematic. I was told you get up from the ice dragon I beat the dragon and got nothing.
Also fyi don't know if they show it in the video but the trailer armor is in a gorge in the hissing waste
thank you very much. this gear is much better than what I had!
I accidentally deleted my file... Can't retrieve the Saved file, yes i am playing it in 2019 XD can anyone help
I am also playing in 2019 and this is my very first rpg. I don't know about anything. How things works.
I once accidentally corrupted my saves but i managed to get back by going to my profile and everything was fine.(you've probably figured it by now)
Btw are you still playing the game?
The Golden Nug helps all
Hello, where can I find all the superb runes?
I used this site to find them all: dragonageinquisition.wiki.fextralife.com/Rune+Schematics
@@TheReaderOnTheWall thanks so for the help bud!
the anderfels cleaver is a reward from two war table missions, one called a golden opportunity which you acquire after capturing suledin keep and another called negotiate a deal for weapons plans which you get after completing wicked eyes and wicked hearts then speak to morris, the skyhold quartermaster. keep in mind though, negotiate a deal for weapons plans can reward you a masterwork sentinel shield schematic (basically aveline's unique shield from da2, 29-35-44-48 armor, 10 utility metal, 4 defense metal + masterwork slot) instead if you complete it with josephine and you can get both of these missions. but if you really must have the extra defense slots, the shield of the emperor schematic is a much better bet, as you can purchase it from the black emporium (a free dlc so theres no excuse to you not having it) for 3200g instead of 6000g at the suledin keep merchant or 4500g at the emporium for the dwarven shield, plus it looks FAR better. also, to get that archon staff you will need to kill off the bull's chargers in demands of the qun and unless you have a heart of stone you will NOT be able to live that down (poor krem :'( ). the first enchanter staff schematic from suledin keep is almost as good or you can gather 17,000g together and go back to the black emporium and get a far better one called the staff of corruption which is tier FOUR (94-105-122-125 damage, TWENTY offense cloth, TWELVE offense metal, and six offense leather plus a masterwork). do more than just look at one video, folks. RESEARCH.
Thanks.
I followed this tutoral but my Anderfels Cleaver only got to 324dps with the upgrades and a corrupting rune. The video mentioned 500dps.
Is there a masterwork dual blade dagger grip? I cant find one
is there any heavy armor that is higher than 324?
Not to my knowledge. The value show in this video is the highest I know it can go.
DeathToMockingBirds I used veil quartz with platemail of the dragon hunter plus essence of perfection to bump it to 356 armor
+DeathToMockingBirds there is a problem the war table missions won't spawn
yes there is
the daggers are only 300 something damage, how do we get them to 500?
+aras pectol dragon bone
Thx for the upload it's alot of help
I beat this game in 35 hours on my fastest and I played like 7 times but I could never get my weapon dmg past 400 on a dagger or any other we to a great power but I'm planning to remake a character to an artificer so it should be fun. Thx again
I'll sub
I don't have a second tomb all I got was the fire rune on the wall. there's 4 pillars with nothing on them and where the tomb is supposed to be there's just a ladder going down. I've searched for 30 minuets.
Nevermind I figured it out I'm a fucken dumbass. Jesus christ how am I still alive and well on this planet.
Im still confused on how to do a guaranteed masterwork crafting. Do you have a separate guide for it? Awesome video by the way! Simple and on point!
I have the masterwork arcon staff like in your video, however i would really like to know what materials you used to get this staff to 500 dps?
That staff never went up to 500 Dps. That was the numbers for the daggers, which is the highest damage of any weapons that were in the game at the time I was playing. I think the staff was around 193 Dps, but I don't remember if I used all the best materials for that one. Dragon bones and skin, with enchantments is not super easy to get, but that create the best crafted items. Still, it's a schematic, so crafting it with whatever you have will still produce a decent staff until you can farm something that will be better.
does the masterwork thing work with armor? I've tried so many times and still no masterwork armor
this video was AMAZING! thank you
What was the weapon the warrior was using? Was it the serpent rage? If yes then what materials did you use to make it? Yes I am also wondering about runes and hilts for it as well please.
Yes it was Serpent's Rage, found in one of the tomb. I believe I forged it in Dawnstone (best tier 3 material, before DragonBone). I do not remember the hilt I took, but it must have been one of the One-Handed-Hafts from a random Tier 3 chest, hence why I did not included it in the video. As for the rune, it was a Superb Demon Slaying Rune.
Is there any two handed weapon better than the Sulevin sword?
+DeathToMockingBirds you can tint armors
DeathToMockingBirds just made 193 dps staff without grip thank you the video is very helpful and you are too
Hi your video helped me a lot. but i can't understand the steps from best staff schematic... can you tell me more?
Music please! Is it sound track? Tks!
+Matthew Duffee Patched?(storage unit dupe)
+Sasaki Haise Nope you can still do the storage dupe. I did it last night on power amulets to boost up my AI characters.
Great vid buddy
Early-mid game, he's in the courtyard in front of the tavern, mid-late game, he's on the 1rst floor of the cavern, beside the stairs.
ruclips.net/video/grEBFKjCI9Y/видео.htmlm48s
how do I obtain masterwork? lot of people is not sure how it works but you say your method works, is it true?
What's recommended armor/weapon should I get for a Knight Enchanter? And what is ideal to get in Black Emporium, I assume Staff of corruption because it's tier 4?
PHIFan-MIA Anything that max her mana and mana regen, along with effects that boost the Shield (some mastercraft items have this as an effect). Health is important, but mana regen is more important. KineticGTR has done a great video on that. ruclips.net/video/3W4NKY1MnNM/видео.html
By the way, to directly answer your question, the armor I show you can get is the best for mage, but I played (and did this tutorial) pre-Black Emporium, so maybe there is something better you can get.
Even on the hardest difficulty settings, whenever things got too tough, I just switch to Vivienne, and I'm unstoppable. Her shield and magic sword is just too strong.
DeathToMockingBirds Thanks for advice. I also read the guard on hit makes KE even more unkillable. That's insane. :O
Does the shop reset still work?
DeathToMockingBirds
Yeah, I know about that, but for some classes I found high armor very questionable. Knight Enchanter stands most of the time under the barrier anyway, Champion doesn't have problems with defense either and melee rogues can use equipement from Fade touched Silverite that gives them Guard on every hit.
Having Mages walking in a Templar armor is quite ironic though:)
What's the best dagger grip?
What level should I be when I do this, I seen somewhere that the Hissing waste is a level 19 zone but I unlocked skyhold at level 10 ;/
Thanks for the reply and tutorial! :)
thank you! your video really helps!
so judging the glitch of leaving 1 item.. oes it work wwith draagons o.o cause that couuld be easy farming then.
I never tried. I suspect not, because it's not a random loot. But definitively try it.
I have short list perk so why the merchant in hissing waste does not sell the armor schematic?
I explained in the video that the merchant only show 1 random item from the Short List perk, and sometimes none. You have to go to a different location, reload the game, come back there and see if the random item is different. This feature is one of the most annoying one in the game, necessitating RNG for an item you have the money to buy.
DeathToMockingBirds yes Bro, it's the 20 times that i tried but no masterowork schem... :( thanks for the video!
Here's the site that detail which quests to take :
dragonage3.wiki.fextralife.com/Masterwork+Archon+Staff+Schematic
Click on the missions names to see the sequence and make sure you did it right.
Ok thanks man!! :)
hello am stuck! am trying to get tier 3 archon mage staff and am doing the war table quest. after I did track spies in skyhold I cant find the other quest I have to do plz help
neglected by love Did u do the iron bull personal quest?
when i go to the merchant in the hissing wastes, it only showes me the option to buy the arms and leg attachment but not the superior and masterwork items
You need the Short List perk. Do you have it? If yes, even then, he only has 1 Masterwork item at a time (check in the other categories). To reset his wares... follow the video from 6:05

Bro make more skyrim :D
I have not played skyrim in... 3 years, I think... And in fact, had never finished the main story line. I put hundreds of hours into the game, doing endless side-story missions, but stopped before finishing the main story.
for the cave near mountain fortress camp it says a blocked door way how do you unblock it?
You go round up to the top and there's an entrance up there, there are enemies there so be wary
still playing in 2021. So much fun
what are the recommended levels for farming these areas?
powerofrah As soon as you can get to them (for minerals and Snouffleurs).
