Bit late now but for future reference Instead of using roofing felt I used pond Liner to cover my 10 ft Shed. It was cheaper, no battens required, did it in one piece, roofing nails to secure and 8 years in it still looks like it was fitted yesterday. It has been watertight and hasn't deteriorated despite being in full sun every day.
Electricity wise, run an armoured cable from the house on its own circuit leading to a small consumer unit in the shed. 2 circuits required, one for lighting, one for sockets. Not that expensive and straight forward to fit.
Looking great Adam,I have a similar setup workshop wise ,take a look at Ajax security alarms ,I have one on the house and workshop, works wireless system ,and over 40 meters from the base unit ,a bit of peace of mind, all the best Nige 👍
Aw. I may struggle to get WiFi in the shed. But we do have a security camera on the house that will zoom in to the shed and is motion activated. But I am going to alarm it up.
Hi Adam, you well I hope, What a find and what a price you lucky man I like your shed I coming on nicely, Well all the best to you and take care of yourself and stay safe.🛠️🛠️🛠️⭐️👍
You're spot on about security I've seen the naughty boys use hydraulic levers to open steel container despite block of flats 20 yards away reckon its best to have motion sensor to alarms on shed&to You're house
What about a nice little woodburner in the engine shed nice and cozy in winter with a cup of tea and metric adjustable in the othere as you say nice compressor can't wait to see it going
Won't you need an electrical panel installed inside? And does it need to be approved where you live? Here in the states, you can install your own, but it needs to be signed-off by an electrician, (unless of course your hiding it!)
Yes I could not even think about wiring that to the mains in the house. Definitely an electricians job. I think tho being a privately owned home tho it don't need to be signed off. But if there ever was a electrical fire tho, insurance may have questions. It's really not worth the bother. Will get it done properly tho.
@@NorfolkMancave - Here in the US you can do it yourself; and you don't need a permit, but in most states, it's a good idea to have a electrician OK the job, or call your local provider to OK the job.

Be an idea to fit hinge bolts to the doors so that they cannot be jimmied on the hinge side or the hinges unscrewed, I fit them on all my sheds as well as alarms.
A mate had a shed like yours and had a scum bag problem with them breaking in . He lined his on the outside (could do inside) with weld mesh, wasn't too expensive.
Thinking outside the box as they say, but..... only because it is something I'm looking into for my shed... have a look into the "cheap" Chinese diesel cab heaters for giving you some winter warmth. They are around the £100 mark, give or take a bit, run off red diesel if you can source it.
NMC and MMV collaboration will be cool! maybe for his 60th episode on the RR. I think I saw the model number stamped clearly, just under the sticker, over the pull start.
I had a US army 1950s briggs genny it had the same screen on plug, it had a cam operated glass fuel pump - a rare thing tbh never seen another in think i have a vid on my channel 🤔. I also made my own diesel compresssor using a 25cfm clarke tank and pump which i will do a video on soon😎
I have the same compressor and the frame is the storage will not start until air released as its hard to turnover very large volume of air mine has a kolar engine
Hope u pull the spraying off with my mate Vince it should help u grow ur channel love what u do really like ur new home do a bit on how that heat pump works
Are you going to lag and line the ceiling and walls? It will be pretty cold in the winter if you dont if I was you I would put a metal roof on top off the felt
The type, model and code numbers are stamped under where it says type, model and code... The engine looks older than the rest and has a screened HT lead and plug cap. Ex military?

You may want to put some pallets downing you outside sheds to keep the motors off the damp ground.... well done with your purchases...
Plastic pallet are th best, they don't wick the moisture up
My same thought, Don't need any more rust then they already have!
Yeah that's very tempery until they get moved onto a solid base. They not staying on the grass.
or just tile it
Spit still are in Crawley, Sussex as Spit fixings make nail guns. part of ITW group
Adam your code numbers for the B&S are stamped in under the Model/code label
I noticed that when I was editing the video. 🤣🤣

Just stumbled across your channel, and liking it! Looking forward to seeing you spray paint Mr Beast's Rolls Royce!
Another tip on security reference the single door facing the house, bolt a wrought Iron gate to the door frame so it covers the door.

Ow a little stove, I like that idea. And can't beat a metric adjustable 🤣🤣
@@NorfolkMancave better be carefulness. with the stove idea we all might be round for a cuppa

if you get probs with your felt get it done with torch on felt it will never come off again done many well worth the extra cost
I think I might put tin over the top of that to be honest.
Brilliant i hope Vinces RR does come to you , that will be one to watch ! Nows the time to put a spot of oil into the cylinder i would have thought .
Who says its vinces RR. Did I say that? 🤣🤣.
looking good
According to an old French advert for one of those units it is a 7hp engine.
That sounds about right. Are these French are they?? Do you think it's original engine??
@@NorfolkMancave Short answer, yes. Unable to post web links on youtube, sorry.
Be an idea to fit hinge bolts to the doors so that they cannot be jimmied on the hinge side or the hinges unscrewed, I fit them on all my sheds as well as alarms.
Good idea that. Thanks. And yes I will be fitting an alarm to the shed. 😀
Great compressor there and you'll get it running Adam
That's the plan!. Sure I will get it going mate.

Yeah think I'm going to line it out inside anyhow. Be warmer and safer.

Yeah I may do that. Or put a little wood stove in. Need some heat for the winter.

@@NorfolkMancave Just a guess. He desperately needs an expert painter and I think I heard him wish it was you.
Are the parts easy to get hold of the compressor, the shed is looking good ,wiring those light is easy enough, catch you soon take care
I have no clue. Hoping compressor side will be OK. Engine parts are easy to get.
now all you need is an air table like Mustie1 🙂
Aw would love one. I love mustie table lift.
yeah I havent ever seen an HD lead like that either, different

hi with the amount of weight you are putting in there . its only chipboard it needs to be strengthened .
THE CORRECT ITEMS SLOWLY COMING TOGETHER TO MAKE A WORKING SHED JUST TO POTTER AROUND ON A LAZY DAY.OR RAINING
Can't wait for it to be finished. 😀
Common flathead design is probably a 3.5 HP engine.
youtuber "Pepinster Jérome" rebuilds this same model
good to have a reuglar engine video instead of auctions
Yeah, until I get workshop a bit more finished I'm a bit stuck at the mo. Going as quick as I can mate.
Are you going to lag and line the ceiling and walls? It will be pretty cold in the winter if you dont if I was you I would put a metal roof on top off the felt
Yes I think I'm going to line it out a bit. Like you say would keep it warmer.
thats a 7hp
also those carbs tend to leak if not maintained

Yeah really not sure. Engine looks older, but it looks right. Unless it had a later B&S engine that faild and someone stuck an older engine in it.
If you're looking for a lathe I have one for sale. it just needs a clean and oil and be good to go.
Ow what Lathe is it my friend?? Email me. Adamfenn2@yahoo.com
The real question is when is mrs mancave getting chickens?
That's got to be my mate Vince then!!!!
Did I say that. 🤣🤣
I've got an engine like that 7hp built 1966. I think your blow off valve is free too.
