An easy way to kill Yiazmat. Video is fully instructional; make sure to turn on annotations. None of the ideas in here are original; I just put them together.

I started a new FF12 game last week, and its been 5 years since i last played FF12. Im definitely trying this method now, cause last and ONLY time i killed him was the old fashioned way, with Tournesol, Koga Blade, Masamune, Genji Gloves etc etc and it took me so many straight hours to kill him cause when his HP gets low he starts to do his dirty little cheap tricks and i had to go to the save crystal a couple of times to regain my MP. NOW IT'S PAYBACK TIME! XD
Btw, a quick question, i just finished the events in Giruvegan, i got 5/6 Marks left to kill, can i kill Yiazmat, Omega and do the fishing quest to obtain the badges for the Wyrmero Blade before doing the events in Ridorana Catarat? Cause when i first did this i was on my way to Bahamut to complete the game, so i was wandering if it was possible to obtain the Wyrmero even before Ridorana.
haha lovin th video man gj! This is extremely lane indeed and in my opinion takes all the fun out of the point of this game! It is so much quicker to just go to Bujerba mines and farm sit loads of Bombs for yagyu dark blades (and trust me farming those rare weapons took me a fucking looooong time indeed like several days of hard farming) but once you find at least 2 or 3 of them give them to your most trusted dmg dealers and also have them equipped with genki armour (you should have all 4 parts if you stole them from Gilgamesh in both fights) give 2 of them each to 2 of your fighters and give somebody the gambits to heal entire party below 50% with curaga or curaja and either make your healer wield a yagyu or an excalibur and just watch your 2 allies stack dem HUGE combos you destroy this 50,000,000 beast in minutes XD (well in less than 1 hour anyway)

Seeing this makes my life, literally, wasted... God damn it...
it's pretty damn difficult I used a strategy I found in another youtube video and I still had to make alterations because Yiazmat is an asshole with them Death Strikes I eventually did it... not before I went insane though
I figured it would be hard, I know how to do it with out this little trick its just it takes too long and I don't have the time. If I could just sit there, let go on its own and check every now and then then I would be happy with it because at this point in the game I'm maxed out and have nothing left to do.

You can also use Wither 10 times to make Yiazmat a little puppy and Expose a couple of times to ensure 9999 damage with Yagyu. (10 times to deal 20k damage on TZA version.)
While their doing their business you can attend to other things like cleaning up, do the dishes, wash your clothes, etc. It should be over in about an hour or two.
He gains MP and deals more damage when in critical HP from two augments on the license board (Warmage + Spellbreaker), which is why he used Charge to Infuse his HP. To the comment below, spells still cost MP when they're reflected. Notice how he gained 16 MP for the initial Darkra hit and then 30 for the latter two. The spell costs 14 MP with all the Channeling augments unlocked, and you get 30 MP back from Warmage when you deal 9999 damage.
Mike Hawk no ,,if you cast a spell and it's reflected it doesn't count against your mp,so it basically sees it as a failed spell,but it still records the damage from the reflect on the enemy,,it actually works great but it takes a little while to get your people in the right spot and you have to watch your holder.the character that has attack in hold with gambits off ,every ten casts by the other casters you have to hit attack again on your holder,and you have to keep the holder as the lead character or they try to run around the wall to execute the attack command,,other than that it's pretty easy ,you just run down the inside of the wall until you see the orange enemy dot as close to your holder as you can get centered and place both casters on either side ,all facing the wall directly in front of the orange dot,,you'll know when they're placed correctly because you'll start seeing the damage points flash on the wall in front of you,and the red targeting arrow from your holder wil be straight out in front of them going through the wall ,,very long battle ,but it doesn't use mp,ethers or any phoenix downs and every other wheel barrow full of items when you stand in the ring and duke it out,i've beat him three times like that and it's like run every single item out,,run out ,,save ,go shopping,,come back ,,fight and waste all the crap you just bought,,run out,,save,,come back and fight for another hour,,,,,this way is so much easier,,boring as hell,and you have to keep count of your casts so you can be ready to hit attack again after it times out ,,but other than that,,this is the only way to go,,i tried the dead character glitch like five times and you still get raked to death,he just kills your team like that instead of with all the fancy spells
only time ive ever beaten him i was in my 70s with vaan ashe and penelo and took 3.5 hours in his face fighting and it was fun and intense and only had 1 stage lol never left his face that was my goal
it took me 8 hours to beat yiazmat because I kept running back to the save crystal with a method so he camt regen his health when you leave I still play the game today

The only thing I can't understand is how do you keep your MP raising? Is it because of Charge? I can't figure this part out.
You gain MP when you do damage. Its a passive on the license board.
Melee2Kil I can use scathe with sages ring and gain MP XD
remember that at some point of battle the max damage output is 6999 no matter how strong you are!!!

Fr example, if you leave Zodiark available, you can use Excalibur and the Wyrm Hero Blade against him.
