Somehow Gordon Ramsay can be both the most terrifying and comforting person at the same time . Probably everyone sees how he could be terrifying but the way he interacts with all the servers, the parents and everyone else who isn't involved in ruining the place just comes off as very comforting and warm . Especially the way he says darling while talking to females gives me a sense of assurance and protection .

You have to see his daughters show and how nice and crazy ramsey can get with his family. It might be a bit exaggerated of course but he is really good with his wife and kids. Yes they will get mad but in the end they will more then likely remember what you told them. What Gordon does is constructive criticism- he insults them and then compliments them.

I think Gordon hyped the places up (just by being associated with them) which made the restaurants seem so successful but the hype eventually dies out and the restaurant fails again.

I think the mom experienced trauma over the experience at the ER with Nino, and might have been fearful of pushing him too hard, because he could relapse. Michael had lived for so long being able to pick at Nino's faults and looking like the golden boy , when Nino stepped up, Michael lost his footing. Hope the family was able to resolve their issues.

I respect the fact that Gordon doesn't ram his successes down the owners' throats. He doesn't say, _"My restaurants hold three Michelin stars, so you should listen to me!"_ . He just explains why their food, service and environment are destroying their business; more often it's the owners who are intimidated by Gordon and resort to self aggrandisement to save their battered egos.
If you watch the episode with Amy's Baking Company, he's trying (and failing) to sit down and reason with the owners, and one of them refers to the entire thing in context as a show. Gordon immediately fired back with how it wasn't a show to him, and how it's about helping a restaurant that genuinely needed all it could get.

It looks like we have the recipe for improving each and every restaurant. Keep it perfectly clean, cook fresh meals, never use frozen or processed ingredients and make sure you have well organized cooking and serving process. Communication is key. And don't forget to taste everything! 😄
Hardest part of starting a restaurant isn’t the food or anything like that, it’s funding. It’s not hard to find competent chefs and quality ingredients, it’s paying for them is the tough part. It’s why restaurants like these where the chefs/ingredients ARE bad are so heavily scrutinized, because they’re failing the easiest part.
Reading some comments it was a decision from the mother and all the sons, she wanted to retire a few years after her husband passed, and nobody wanted to take the restaurant by themselves so they decided to close willingly on their 80 something anniversary.
Sad thing, this restaurant closed at August 16. 60% of the restaurants that Gordon Ramsay has tried to help have closed down. Guess some things aren't worth saving.
Damn that is sad the family had some real issues though and they just could not get along. Some people don't realize that you are only as good as the people around you.

MrAnimepredator i feel like the main reason all the restaurants seemed to be doing very well in the months following after Gordon’s visit is because Gordon was there... like how in every episode a normally empty restaurant will be booked beyond capacity at the mere mention of Gordon being there. I think Gordon hyped the places up (just by being associated with them) which made the restaurants seem so successful but the hype eventually dies out and the restaurant fails again.
The part where Nino tries to justify how thorough with his cleaning and Gordon just finds Chewing gum everywhere just killed me 😂😂😆😂

I respect the fact that Gordon doesn't ram his successes down the owners' throats. He doesn't say, _"My restaurants hold three Michelin stars, so you should listen to me!"_ . He just explains why their food, service and environment are destroying their business; more often it's the owners who are intimidated by Gordon and resort to self aggrandisement to save their battered egos.
If you watch the episode with Amy's Baking Company, he's trying (and failing) to sit down and reason with the owners, and one of them refers to the entire thing in context as a show. Gordon immediately fired back with how it wasn't a show to him, and how it's about helping a restaurant that genuinely needed all it could get.
In an article I read,they said Gordon regretted the fact that restaurants he helped ended up closing,some even before their episode aired,he is genuinely a nice guy

Well, to be fair, he meant the decor was dated, and then the camera panned over to show the old menu displayed.
It looks like we have the recipe for improving each and every restaurant. Keep it perfectly clean, cook fresh meals, never use frozen or processed ingredients and make sure you have well organized cooking and serving process. Communication is key. And don't forget to taste everything! 😄
Hardest part of starting a restaurant isn’t the food or anything like that, it’s funding. It’s not hard to find competent chefs and quality ingredients, it’s paying for them is the tough part. It’s why restaurants like these where the chefs/ingredients ARE bad are so heavily scrutinized, because they’re failing the easiest part.
Update I live near this restaurant and it’s closed now :( I went after Gordon Ramsay helped and the food was quite good

Reading some comments it was a decision from the mother and all the sons, she wanted to retire a few years after her husband passed, and nobody wanted to take the restaurant by themselves so they decided to close willingly on their 80 something anniversary.
