Cait sith randomly introducing himself while cloud beats the shit out of aerith is so random
Thankfully this time he returns before Cloud “beats” Aerith in Rebirth
As much as I love the original, I'll admit that even that was a tonal whiplash from Hell....I wish Cait Sith had stayed dead. But I also wish this part of the game stayed true to itself in Rebirth. Instead what we have is Sephiroth turning Cloud into a power bottom..

@@youwatch2muchtv It would have been hilarious if they did, but Hell they showed Tifa and Aeris in a swimsuit with cleavage so I don't see why not. There's violence and strong language everywhere else.
But yeah, you're probably right, some twitter activists would probably get offended and cry about "muh misogynism" or some sh1t.
@@commandervile394 Theres level to this. Showing skin here and there is one thing, showing a woman getting beat up is a whole different animal, and thats different than playing as a female character and getting hit by an enemy. Not everything is so black and white.

I think it’s pretty obvious that he knocks her down and then is punching the ground in panic, pain and confusion. First off, I don’t think the developers would have him punching her for 5 minutes and then just act like nothing happened, but even more obvious is that if they DID intend that, they would not have had his model so low that it looks like he’s just punching her feet. People are dumb.
Then why would the other party member jump down and knock cloud out? Why do that if he’s simply punching the ground?
@@justaperson2207To snap him out of it. Hitting someone who’s clearly out of their mind is like, one of the most done tropes in entertainment.

It kind’ve sucks we miss out on Cloud’s self awareness scene about how being near Sephiroth causes him to lose control in Rebirth. Definitely would add to his development along with them kind’ve pressuring Cloud to keep going despite him and all of them knowing he’s mentally not okay. Hopefully they add some similar scenes to part 3, but with how delusional he is in the final state of Rebirth i doubt they’ll have scenes like that.
In the original, Cloud beated up Aerith
In the Remake, Cloud slashed up Tifa

@@Xanatos0504 Not. he managed to struck her and pushed Tifa into the Mako lake.
But maybe Cloud struck Tifa with a blunt part of his sword, than the edge of blade, avoiding that she was cut by his attack.
@@josecuestas7246 Nope, she barely dodged the blade but whilst dodging his attack, she fell. They slowmo that scene to show that it barely missed. Also, the edge was pointed directly at her, theres no way he was going to hit her with a blunt part of the sword. Considering how many soldiers we see cloud slaughtering in cutscenes, Tifa would've been dead or at least bleeding profusely if he actually landed a hit on her. So she dodged it.
@@mondosensei After watched the cutscene again, you're right, Tifa quickly backstep to dodges it, while the blade was near of her body for milimeters.
Though that this still count as Cloud attacking Tifa, just like when he attacked Aerith in the original game.
In remake/rebirth version cloud love to death about aerith even sacrifice himself to save her in ancient temple event🙏

Honestly this scene always confused me, Aerith should’ve straight up died then with Cloud’s whole enhanced strength and all lmfao, honestly I prefer how they handled the scene in Rebirth

The REMAKE and REBIRTH are a lot of different scenes in OG, but i wonder after cloud attacks aerith and those horrible sound are she almost die that time but i know sephiroth kill her so maybe she's badly injured.
It doesnt look like hes hitting Aerith, or else her model would have been moving when contact was made

Same though...and poor Tifa getting sidelined in Rebirth in favor of Aerith. OG's know Tifa is the real best girl.
@@commandervile394If you look at it in the context that Sephiroth realized that it was actually Tifa not Aerith that caused him to lose due to losing his strilongest pawn Cloud then you can see why they did that.
But really it felt like Rebirth really overemphasized Aerith far beyond even the og game to the point where it actually felt forced. And I know that it was to make he death hit harder but it had the opposite effect on me.

@@brightlight8852Also forced or not Aerith the main character of the story, even before the final game we got in 1997 her dynamic with Sephiroth was always essential, I find it weird how you call someone who's natur can save the world forced, like her introduction is even better imo she got introduced as a random that would become a friend, and then we find that being the stereotyps she's way more, just like the rest of the characters, that's the beauty of ff7

I kinda disagree. This shows the impact of how bad clouds mental state is getting.
Sephiroth straight up cam in and got cloud to give him the black materia without struggling at all. Cloud then acts out in rage and everyone there just watches. Even Cait sith who came feeling accomplished just sees what's going on.
It's more awkward for sure but I think that's why I think it's better. The other was too Hollywood
LMAO, wait is this really how this scene went down in the original? It's so awkward and terribly written... Not like how I remember it at all! Cait Sith introducing himself while Cloud beats on Aerith is so weird and awkward lol! Thank gawd Remake/Rebirth aren't 1:1 remasters
It was written fine but I admit would have been really hard to animate and voice act a domestic abuse scene
He really beat the sht out of her and she's like it okay. This is not okay even if I was original I was ummm I would kick him off the team for this because he's danger to the group.
I understand it's not his fault but I can't take that chance him taking out vital members of the team.
@@TehReasoning Agreed. Been rewatching a full playthrough of OG and so much of this game didn't age well, or is mistranslated, or nonsensical, so it's silly hearing angry fans complaining about the remakes not being 100% faithful.
There is a reason why a lot of people who played the OG don't buy into the Aerith's love for Cloud. The changed scene for this makes even less sense in Rebirth.

@lotus2001 It's a part of their relationship that shows that it is a bad thing. It's there to make you second guess her supposed love for him. Aerith, though she claims to love Cloud, you have to question if she ever knew him, and the answer is no. She never met the real Cloud at all she is in love with a fake persona, a puppet created by Jenova.
