Awesome mod man! Tight work! I would love to get me a pair just to walk around universal studios. Unfortunately I'm not that good at modifications. Love Back to the Future.
I wouldn't suggest using thin 1/8" foam as it would confirm too easily to the ribbed bumps on the sides of the shoe. Ypu can try to steam iron the ribs down which I did but it's hard to get them flat. I think thinner white plastic or cutting them from a hard rubber or urethane would work best.
nope nope Ah gotcha! It’s just a box mold. I think I placed the heel cups cavity side facing down on a 4” diameter piece of PVC pipe. I clayed around the heel cup which secured it to the pipe and filled any seams. Then I got glued 4 foam core walls around the heel cup leaving a half inch between the heel cup and the foam core. The walls were about 1/2” taller than the height of the cup. Then I poured silicone on top. Once it was cured I brushed in shell shock resin, about 3-4 layers. I hope that helps!
@@pandapropsncostumes yeah thanks! I havnt had much luck with doing curved pieces where the sides of the resin part are higher then at the bottom. I think the fact that it was a brush-in resin is why it worked so well. I think that answeres my question. Like, if it had been a solid part the center would fill and the sides would sink down. thanks man great channel
nope nope No problem! Keep in mind that if you wanted to get fancy, you could do a two part mold. You would have a bowl shaped silicone mold that you press into the bottom mold, causing the resin to rise up. There’s things you need to do to help facilitate flow of the resin but that’s another technique that works :)
So did you bought 2 pair of the replica's, and made 1 pair looking like the original? If that is correct then I really want to do that too, but then with the black ones.
Do you mean the swooshes? Not really. I mean you don't want them to conform to the shape of the shoe. They should ideally look like 1/16" thick rubber.
Well done. This is probably one of the best HC conversions I've seen.
I'll follow your way
You're welcome!

I used vinyl and while it looks OK, I think something more firm / solid would look better!
Dude you are so freaking talented omg 😲 great job dude 😊😀
Looks great!

im realy curious how you made the molds so curved. did you pour it as a box and then cut the curvature, then slush cast?
nope nope hi here. Were you watching a different video of mine? These Back to Future shoes don’t use molds :)
@@pandapropsncostumes oh i was refering to the heel cup where you hid the electronics.
