Welcome to my Tears guitar lesson! Tears by Django Reinhardt is one of my favorite Gypsyjazz standards. Yet, I arranged it for Tears jazz guitar. Although There are so many Tears gypsy jazz arrangements out there already, that I went for a jazzier sound. I added a cool bassline to the iconic first section of the song, which I think is very sexy.
The B-section I pretty much kept the way it is. But don't worry, I left all the Tears guitar chords intact, I just changed the rhythm in the A Section.
So you'll learn all the great Tears Django Reinhard chords. I'll also explain some of the theory, so you know what you're doing. This way you'll also memorize the song easier.

The slow version is similar to as Knopfler and Atkins played in Neck And Neck album. Thank you, Sandra! Just have added to my wishlist.
This may have really influenced me, since I had that album when I was young and I'm also a huge Knopfler fan.

I think Django was and still is more popular in Europe. I always loved this tune, so making a tutorial one day was obvious 😊
