When i was a child we were visiting Pickering to visit my aunt Ethel Johnson.She`d looked after my farher in his boyhood and he loved her,her husband George and their son Bill. We`d stopped on somewhere for a break and I was paddling in the ford, another small boy was fishing and he`d caught a small fish which was in a container.He was a long term patient in a Scarborough hospital and his Dad had brought him out for the day..I`d forgotten all about it until I watched Bangers and Cash and recognised the ford as being the one in Thornton..
Pretty village, enjoyed our visit last year, hopefully coming back this summer. Nice to meet Derek, Dave, Paul and Jack. How you managed with the space at the old shop is a miracle.
Great program lads and I loved the way you showed us around your Village, what a gorgeous place, I am from Ireland Co Kildare in my day I was big into motorcycle and I did a lot of riding around the UK . keep up the great work and maybe someday I might get you your shop .

Makes a nice change from cars promoting the village where you live and what's available for day trippers, It will be nice for you to do a few more walks around the village on nice days through the summer.

It’s been great getting to know you guys at various rallies recently. The most recent being in Hexham after the Kielder Forest rally on 12th June. Really looking forward to catching up again soon.

And the only thought Ive had is We see the "Family " taking it in turns in front of the Camera ,We See the Brothers , with their Children . Called in May 2024. Gorgeous little village. Had some food and moved on to stay in Whitby. It’s well worth a visit. We loved it.
