Hi Justin - I just want you to know that BECAUSE OF YOU, I ventured out and got my MS in C and I - and you were 100% correct on alllllll the tips and advice you gave - I actually enjoyed getting the degree - I am so THRILLED w the accomplishment - but I wanted you to know that you were the ABSOLUTE tipping point. WGU should give you kickbacks! HAHA!
Wendy, that's such a thoughtful and exciting comment! I appreciate you taking the time to write that. My whole aim with the channel was to encourage others to "give it a shot" and to try and be efficient with their schooling. Really glad to hear it worked for you! I enjoyed the degree too. It's interesting, I rarely stumble into negative WGU reviews. They must be doing something right. Congrats on getting the MS degree :)
Congratulations Justin! I really appreciate your posts. I will be starting the WGU MSML this Fall and am trying to pre-game as you suggest. Looking forward to following you in your Doctorate program.
Well done Justin! Your work ethic and determination to complete your WGU degrees is very inspiring! I hope to be able to do the same type of competency-based program soon! Congratulations! I also wanted to ask how this program has helped in you in your line of work? Do you find yourself utilizing the techniques and theories in your work?
Hi Andi, Thank you! Yes definitely. I would say it's "refined" my understanding of certain principles and practices. It gave me more of a language to talk about the type of work I do. It also forced me think critically about my teaching practice. Most teachers have to be in the grind because the job is demanding, though, school helps people reflect on the work they do and learn new perspectives.
Hey Daniel, I can't speak for the MSL&M program, as mine was in Education. Still, I assuming there are shared acceleration tactics among WGU students. Check out Reddit or Facebook for specific program groups. In the video, I mentioned that transfer credits from other places (like study . com, straighterline . com, sophia . org) typically apply to undergrad courses. Maybe there's CLEP exams for graduate studies, not sure. Though, you can check out partners . wgu . edu to see if there are agreements for grad studies. I think WGU started doing agreements for masters-level coursework but I don't know much about that, since it's a new thing from what I've I heard. You can call WGU enrollment services-they might have the info. Cheers
When you began the program, how many credits did you have to take? I understood you to say you had transfer credits? I have 5-9 hours a day I can dedicate (possibly more) because my current job (graveyard) will allow me to accelerate this program. I taught physical education for four years in a private school (so have some experience) but my undergrad is in a separate field *masters too!. I would be looking at a Master's in Elementary Education. So my question is, how many credits did you need to finish and how many hours a day did you dedicate?
I still had to complete 22 out of 30 credit units (CUs) in the MEd program at WGU. The courses varied in CUs, with most being 2 CUs. There was one course worth 4 CUs, and the capstone was worth 6 CUs. Just note that this refers to the older version of the MEd Learning and Tech program, which has now been sunsetted. Allocating 5-9 hours per day for WGU is quite a significant time commitment, so you should be able to accomplish a lot. MEd programs typically involve a mostly writing, so your progress will depend on your proficiency and diligence in writing papers. I can't recall the exact number of hours I spent per week, but I believe I have previous Q&As with timestamps that touch on this this. Feel free to check them out. Hope that helps
How'd you get passed these broke ass labs? I've been delayed 4 fucking weeks just trying to get C700 labs to work? (Not coming at you, just venting and trying to find a way around it, because I never had any luck with Virtual Machines inn ITT either.)

Thanks Maria! I appreciate your thoughtful comments. Glad you're giving WGU a shot in the fall :)
Maria, how is your MSML program going at WGU? :) I remembered that you starting during Fall 2022.

@@lifebyjustin That’s amazing! I never thought of the teaching experience like that. Thank you for teaching us all through your experience!
Awesome 👏🏽
Any advice for MS Management and leadership? What are the links for completing credits ahead of time. Thank you
