Wow! That was really something. It seems Luster Dawn's nightmare of becoming Twilight Sparkle is really coming true, with her actually TURNING into Twilight herself. Makes me wonder if Twilight is going to fade out of existence and her magic and spirit will be infused into Luster. That ending was also really shocking, seeing Kinyongo torturing Zecora like that was definitely a dark turn I did not see coming. Seems as though Kinyongo is exploiting Luster's insecurities and situation in an attempt to gain from them. What her ultimate end goal is, I can only assume to take over Equestria and rain chaos. Guess we'll have to wait and see, great work as always, can't wait for the next one.
As usual Scribbler, This episode was definitely worth the wait! I absolutely enjoyed every second of it, The artists and VA's all did such a miraculous and incredible job bringing this episode to life make no mistake about it! Truly outstanding and sensational work guys thank you all ever so much for blessing our eyes and ears with this piece of your collaborative genius! And I have no doubt that Pea-InAPod herself would be both proud and thrilled! I feel so bad for both Luster Dawn and Twilight, But I'm sure by the end of the series the curse put on Luster will be lifted and Twilight's fading Alicornhood will be restored.

Who could believe that Luster Dawn did this to herself all because she wanted to choose her own destiny instead of everyone choosing her path which is similar to what Twilight Sparkle took? Is she draining the Alicorn powers from Twilight Sparkle?
What an episode! I wonder what’s happening to luster, the fact her eye changed colour means something is happening to her. I love Luster and Flurry’s relationship, wonder if they’ll make amends in the end. Have to find out. Well done to the artists, VA’s and just everypony involved.
I thought zeccora’s apprentice might have been chrysalis but her just doing that of her own will to her own mentor choked me, I also laughed when you got bored of the rhymes 😂 but I’m really enjoying this, luster is most likely turning into twilight. Or more so just taking her magic in some retrospect, I hope she’ll be okay but you did it again miss scribbler you got me on my toes about this series! I can’t wait to see what happens next

Tomorrow's gonna be the best just because of this. Five more hours here we go! This freaking story... Story is basically MLP lore and characters, but hey let’s make the main character have actual goals, feelings, and needs! And also humanize Flurry Heart! Though I think this bit was added by Scribbler.. for better or worse, let’s always be on-guard when she adds these sort of things, the road of tragedy is quiet clear ahead. I know to some, Luster Dawn may be infuriating and a brat. Because to most, her parents are the best and she is privileged to have a loving love interest (ex) and to have such a powerful wealth/status in society. “Why can’t she just chill out and fate will naturally do its duty for her, just like what happened to Twilight? Hell she currently only has one villain in her life, while Twilight had what? 7 or 6 plus? And she was able to succeed!” Some may think, honestly LD does make Twilight look chill. But to defend her, Twilight had friends at least and a close family member (son???) along-side her journey. And the ponies around her didn’t treat her too differently, and the amount of pressure she was on seems minor compared to LD. Twilight’s parents were just normal Canterlot citizens, with a bit status lifting due to Cadance and Shining and of course Twilight being a student of Celestia and all. While, LD only has FH on her journey, and considering FH is willfully accepting her fate, I can see the eventual disdain LD grew to have for her. She is basically accepting the very thing she despises. And LD’s goddamn parents are almost royal, and has close ties to princess Twilight. I don’t know whose poor decision it was to make her TS’s student, goddamn it make it a natural progression not like this.. Twilight admired Celestia from a far and studied on her own volition, oh parents of stories when will you learn… And those types of pressure drive you insane, and it is almost human nature (heh ponies) to go against what you’re ought to do especially when you’re just expected to be obedient, quiet and submissive, I’m going too far with this, but you get the idea. She didn’t earn nor ask for it, when will you ponies see that.. I’m not complaining about the good writing on the bad parents and decisions of characters, merely discussing it, just to be clear.
You and your team did a fantastic job with this episode and I really like the animation style and we really appreciate you and your team for making this Audio drama so good and i hope you guys will continue making this wonderful Audio drama! And after you guys are done with this Audio drama you guys should take a break. And that’s all I have to say.
My dear god! This episode is nothing short of extraordinary!! Luster Dawn's magic is becoming even more violent and out of control than ever, and now everypony is onto her! Worst of all, Zecora's own pupil, Kinyongo kept her prisoner and abused her the whole time! I'm really hoping that Luster and Flurry can rekindle their bond together somehow. Damn I can't imagine any other voice for Flurry Heart now, it's so good and it feels like the definitive voice for me. Though everything's a mess, this feels more hopeful compared to your other works. I hope I'm not wrong x) can't wait for the other episodes. Also I'm surprised Shining Armour can overrule princess Cadence's order, yeah they're married, and he has a stronger and closer relationship with the guards, but she's a princess, doesn't that make her above him? Do excuse my ignorance. Edit: I rewatched Episodes 1-3 after this, and apparently, Shining Armour is a king, I guess that makes some sense on why he has more power over her. Though in a monarchy predominantly consisting of mostly queens and princesses, I would've assumed queens/princess would be placed in a higher regard due to how much influence they have. But I guess the power of titles and status remain the same no matter the how unbalanced the gender population is, cool.

The shows’s epilogue intentionally leaves alot of things open to interpretation. I do like the possibility of Luster Dawn being Starlight and Sunburst’s daughter. Some romances likely happened during the time skip.

I don't know about you but I wouldn't mind it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Of course I don't speak for everyPONY (i'm awful I know), but good art, voice-acting and writing takes time, and I rather have a well-constructed episode that took 2 or 1 years than a rushed piece. I can't blame you though I was impatient after I watched episode 3, just wanted episode 4 right there and then. x)

I search the meaning of the name "Kinyongo" to see if it could hint into her motivation and backstory, and the meaning (or at least one of then) is grudge.
Not on purpose >.< They just take a long time to make. Episode 5's script was written a lot sooner and is almost all recorded, then we'll move on to the art stage, if that helps.

This episode gets tense every minute and dramatic Harry point and return that the series is coming to a twist and turn. I’m hoping there might be another episode of friendships is tragic.
I start to think Kinyongo is Opaline in disguise or she manipulate Kinyongo do her bidding like how she did to Starlight, I swear Josh Haber and Gillian originally plan to write Starlight another backstory on how she ended up as a dictator in the first place in Season 8; but it didn’t because of stupid fans don’t allow them to write it and destroy their quality too.
I came back here specifically to see if there were any updates on this story or Friendship is Tragic 2. I'm hoping for the second one. Is there any hope that one will continue too? I haven't been able to keep up with all your social media and such. I'm really happy to see an update to this story even if I'm a month late though. I'm really invested into both.
@@Starryflame I totally understand that and I'm not trying to put pressure. Just knowing that they are in fact being worked on is enough. I follow this one writer on fimfiction who writes amazing stories, well... he'll start the stories and I enjoy them a lot but then he just... drops them and they never get completed. I check back 5 years later and nothing, etc. So I am a bit annoyed by that, but in the case of Scribbler's channel I'm not because they do actually continue working on it and I'm willing to wait as long as it takes as long as I can know it's not canceled entirely.
A question for you Scribbler. While I admire that you do it I'm curious about why you revive cancelled audio drama? I mean I'm sure you have your reasons, But I just don't understand why you'd feel the need to revive someone else's cancelled projects.
In this case it was because I'd already been brought on as a script doctor before the previous director jumped ship and I'd seen how much work had already gone into the episode the crew had been working on. Plus, the VA for Luster Dawn is one of my friends and she was very sad that yet another project in which she got a lead role had been cancelled. In this one case, I had it in my power to help, so I did.
No matter what does anyone in mlp fandom have to say like oh this fan fiction or its alternative universe things like that this is session 10 of my little pony friendship is magic ✨️ 💖 💛 💜 and what could have been season 10 could be with better animation if hasbro could have stick with gen 4 after season 9 episode 26 and start season 10 of the show curry on telling the story luster down story there instead going to gen 5 of mlp with mark your mark new generation movie and tail your tail they still could have made huge made lots money with season 10 of friendship is magic toys and shows

I don't know about you but I wouldn't mind it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Of course I don't speak for everyPONY (i'm awful I know), but good art, voice-acting and writing takes time, and I rather have a well-constructed episode that took 2 or 1 years than a rushed piece. I can't blame you though I was impatient after I watched episode 3, just wanted episode 4 right there and then. x)
I understand you ALL you all have good points acting is hard whats harder is being a voice actor for two people!

Not on purpose >.< They just take a long time to make. Episode 5's script was written a lot sooner and is almost all recorded, then we'll move on to the art stage, if that helps.

I start to think Kinyongo is Opaline in disguise or she manipulate Kinyongo do her bidding like how she did to Starlight, I swear Josh Haber and Gillian originally plan to write Starlight another backstory on how she ended up as a dictator in the first place in Season 8; but it didn’t because of stupid fans don’t allow them to write it and destroy their quality too.

Just a theory, but maybe the alicorn magic Luster Dawn has is being siphoned off of Twilight and that’s whats causing Twilight’s condition.

I came back here specifically to see if there were any updates on this story or Friendship is Tragic 2. I'm hoping for the second one. Is there any hope that one will continue too? I haven't been able to keep up with all your social media and such. I'm really happy to see an update to this story even if I'm a month late though. I'm really invested into both.

I follow this one writer on fimfiction who writes amazing stories, well... he'll start the stories and I enjoy them a lot but then he just... drops them and they never get completed. I check back 5 years later and nothing, etc.
So I am a bit annoyed by that, but in the case of Scribbler's channel I'm not because they do actually continue working on it and I'm willing to wait as long as it takes as long as I can know it's not canceled entirely.

A question for you Scribbler. While I admire that you do it I'm curious about why you revive cancelled audio drama?
I mean I'm sure you have your reasons, But I just don't understand why you'd feel the need to revive someone else's cancelled projects.
In this case it was because I'd already been brought on as a script doctor before the previous director jumped ship and I'd seen how much work had already gone into the episode the crew had been working on. Plus, the VA for Luster Dawn is one of my friends and she was very sad that yet another project in which she got a lead role had been cancelled. In this one case, I had it in my power to help, so I did.
