Its been three weeks and three days since surgery on my middle finger for trigger finger. I wasnt given any instructions for post surgery at all, the surgeon said u r fine to go back to work the next day,, after a few days i kept trying to close and open my finger as much as i could, so i called the office and booked a follow up which i did after two weeks. he said everything is fine, it was up to me now and he did what he was supposed to do, gave me a sheet of paper to do some thumb exercises on it. Im able to close my middle finger approx 70 to 80 percent now but with stiffness and soreness on my left hand, the secretary said it may take three to six weeks or longer to recover fully. The last two days when closing my finger to the 70 to 90 percent closure i will feel a clicking in the main knuckle, im not sure what that is...is most of this normal recovery, any feedback is appreciated....thks
@@RawkCSSable its been 6 months or so, the last month or so its been very good, it took a good 4 months to be almost 100 percent, after the first couple months, I was sure the operation wasn't going to work out but it has. No problem now playing guitar chords again
It's been 3 weeks for me and I'm still swollen and stiff and cant straighten the middle finger at all, very very painful. I can't see how they can tell you can work the next day!!!
@@48Drummer I am going for trigger fingers surgery for 3 of my left hand fingers. Sound scary from your feedback, need 4 months for recovery. Had to learn a living playing/teaching guitar as I am a professional guitarist ...... Hope that everything will turn out fine. Thanks for the wonderful sharing.
