    Excellent recap and footage. Especially like the contrast with the Kenevo, which seems like just a larger, more composed bigger brother.

      Thanks for your kind feedback. KSL is a very different beast altogether, both incredibly capable though

    Have got the comp with a 170 ZEB ult and carb hoops. Came from the 22 Kenevo. Absolutely Love this new bike. Totally agree with mtb+ analogy.

      So you get more insertable seatpost than you did on the kenevo? I could never get the post completely out of the way

    Recently grabbed a Levo SL Expert after riding analog for 6 years. It's currently my only bike. I ride at 10-30% pedal assist when riding alone as I focus on fitness and will only ride with more assist when riding with other stronger than I am and or with stronger ebikes. The bike rides great and almost feels like a regular bike. My only issue is the mixed wheel size. Not a fan of mullet, wish they had a 27.5in version.

      When I go back to a full 29 it makes me realise why I loved them so much back in the day. More full 29ers I say 👍

      You can put a 29er wheel on the back by flipping the "chip" on the Horst link.

    Any chance for a comparison to a Santa Cruz Heckler SL ? With the headset cup in the slacker setting they seem really close

    You mentioned the quietness isn't industry leading for lightweight motors. Which motor(s) have you found to be quieter?

  • @warboyrb
    @warboyrb 9 месяцев назад +1

    Suggestion is to talk bit more about range - give us bit more idea what "not much range" or "acceptable" means. I mean, did you get 1hr out of it or 4hrs.

      It’s just so subjective. Will try my best on the next one 👍

    If the bleeding is the same as on the old Code/G2 it is definitely your „fault“ …it is the best system in the market.

    Do you always have the saddle that low when climbing seated?

    • @TheBikeStudio
      @TheBikeStudio  10 месяцев назад

      I often run my seat around half height on steep climbs to get my weight further forward. I find that is more important than optimum pedalling position. How about you?

    • @thetrailnomad
      @thetrailnomad 10 месяцев назад

      I usually don't have to do that on my Transition Spire. If it's really steep, I go out of the saddle anyways. On an E-Bike that may be different. I thought that you always rode this way.@@TheBikeStudio

    • @TheBikeStudio
      @TheBikeStudio  10 месяцев назад

      @@thetrailnomad no, just keep the seat lower for riding gradients when I am close to looping out. It’s a lot more confidence inspiring as well

    Lots to like here, except the crazy price and the fact that the battery should be just slightly larger even if it added another kilo. I have found that while fun while on the power, I do not like the portly feeling of 50+ lb full power e-bikes and something lighter weight is for sure something that suits my riding style more as I place a higher priority on handling and feel than max pedal assist. So I am not tempted by a full power e-bike and don't plan to ever buy one (unless they can get closer to 40lbs). But the Levo SL or Kenevo SL are tempting, just not going to pay Specialized nutty MSRP.

    • @TheBikeStudio
      @TheBikeStudio  11 месяцев назад

      In my opinion the weight of an ebike only becomes an issue when the terrain gets really steep. Generally I’m happy on anything under 50lbs but I prefer the feel of a bike with a full powered motor.

    I have a 2023 SL in Expert. My ONLY complaint is knowing that the Pivot Shuttle SL uses a 60 NM motor. It is only 10 NM more , but that obviously makes a VERY noticeable difference.

    The weight of this bike completely blows away full fat ebikes it literally is a no brainer.. The reason you need more power motor is because it weighs so much more
