    In my opinion the quality of your reviews, regarding video-Quality, camera-setup, drone footage, slow-mo etc. ... is the actuall benchmark of testing Videos on RUclips. It´s even BETTER than stuff from channels like GMBN oder EMBN (sorry guys i really like your work! But Rob make such a good job) .. So, i follow you since 4 years now and the evolution of your videos is massive! Hands up for your work and time on all these reviews and also to your research and enhanced information you gave the viewer. Cheers! :)

    • @DW-10
      @DW-10 Год назад +1

      @@asifitmatters1 delaying payment is not the same thing as not being able to pay. It can be a tactic used to smooth cash flow. Bike sales ramped up way above trend over COVID. Orders throughout the bike supply chain from component manufacturers to retailers. Many companies also hired extra staff to cope. Now with the slow down there is inventory surplus. This delays the revenue to manufacturers and they are in turn delaying payment to component suppliers. You would have to analyse their financial statements to justify your claims. You should also ideally look at a longer term trend. If for example a company hired 1000 extra staff to cope with the blip of COVID demand and then let 1000 staff go when the blip finished, they are simply resourcing to meet their needs. That isn’t a sign of trouble in and of itself.

However, a comparison to the TREK is what everybody is interested in, mayber you can do that in the future. There is one point regarding the battery, you mentioned that in the Gen 1 SL the battery could not be removed, which is actually not correct, it was removable, which is important for flying. So the question is, does this hold for the Gen 2 SL or is this no longer the case? Keep up the great work!

    Great review Rob. Specialized we’re the pioneers, pathfinder’s of e-bikes and we have a lot to thank them for. However, I feel this bike is for the Specialized diehards, as there ecosystem is lagging behind TQ’s. Their motors are virtually silent and the display integration is much nicer. That SL motor sounds as loud as my full fat Levo. Perhaps Specialized realise they are loosing market share and punted this out as a stop gap and they need to address their excessive pricing.

    I like the older Levo SL but I want the more power in my Older Levo SL, is this possible?

      im wondering the same thing.. I was comparing the design of the motor mounts they appear to be identical.. and they do use the same motor for a # of different bikes.

    I honestly don't understand why these review do not mention the disaster that was from a sales point of view the previous SL, let's see how it will go with this one, finally more torque, but I would never buy this at a sticker price... Can't wait to see the discounts 😂

    Have you heard if that is going to go over to the Kenevo SL?

  • @Tobias611

    Now I wonder if they kept the mounting system the same? So, if you already had a Levo SL and wanted to only upgrade the motor, could you do it? If so, that'd be awesome forward thinking by Specialized

      @Paranoid Android most people that already have a Levo SL probably won't go around and buy this one too. However, many might be enticed to get the new motor for their existing Levo as it offers quite some benefits over the old one. I'd rather say that offering a way to upgrade the motor is also a way of creating a market for that as well, instead of completely missing out on those customers that don't buy a new bike every other year.

      If that means the new motor would work for the current Kenevo SL too. I’d be interested in buying a new motor

      The new motor is has the same mounting points. They had test riders using the 1.2 motors in their 1.1 bikes. But not sure if the 1.2 motor will be available to purchase separately

      This would be great if this was able to happen. I think the main issue currently with ebike is the onward or cross comparability. If you could upgrade the old SL with this new motor, there are a lot of SL bargins to be had as old stock is now being replaced

    These Siskiu TE’s are THE best value in eMTBs by far… and full powered?? I have the Siskiu T8 non-e, which is an awesome bike. I was about to give up consideration of an eMTB with pricing North of $6,500 at the low end all the way up to $12,000… $14,000. Ridiculous. $3,600 and $4,200 is a steal.

    How does 50nm on an 18kg ebike feel compared to 80nm on a full fat 26kg ebike? Really not sure what route to go down for my first ebike.

    You say “new motor “like it’s a good thing! The problem with new technology, of course is that it’s completely unproven. What about it is new, and what about that? Would make it susceptible to problems? And of course, time and only time can really determine the reliability of something new.
