Brightness of 800 nits seem very unlikely, none of the OLEDs even Sony's and LG's seem to offer that level of brightness on OLED panels

  • @KirkLazurus

    OR...
Wait for the right time and buy a 55 LG C1 for around 30k more since it goes on sale often. A TV is more than just the panel, its the processing and image processor that makes or breaks a TV. LG will also push updates for longer than Xiaomi and LG is a much more established OLED TV maker.

    Sir,
My questions for the Xiaomi Vision OLED only as I have an LG LED TV with WebOS and it has a few shortcomings related to my use case -
What about the apps from the Play Store? Will I be able to install VLC Player or MX Player from there? What about the native player? I have an external HDD and a Network Attached Storage (NAS) containing films and TV shows in range of file formats including x264, x265, MKV etc. Will I be able to connect to the NAS via the in-built or a downloaded browser? Will I be able to play them via external players like VLC or MX? Or will I have to use the native player? How well can the interface be controlled like in a Windows PC or in Android smartphones? Can I add soft coded subtitles present in the folder? Can I download 3rd party streaming apps from sites on Google search instead of the Play Store?
They are my prime requirements and it would be great if you could answer them.

I have bought LG BX55 last year for 1.06L. I has 120hz panel and 40W speaker. I think the extra price paid is justified for a tier-I brand.
PS: I prefer other OS like WebOS or TizenOS over Android as android will be slow in few years and we buy TVs for 7-10years at least.
For who are skeptical about OLED, in general usage they will never burn, in 1 year I found no issues so far.

Great TV. I bought it in Feb 22 as was getting at good price. Was taken aback as first time experienced OLED. I got 3 years warranty and I bought 2 years additional from LG.
But after 2 months, a lot of dead pixels appeared on top area. LG was also surprised. But man their customer service in my area is so good. They replaced the TV with C1 brand new. With same warranty terms. I was so happy. C1 is also a great TV.
I think we should get as much warranty as possible with OLEDs.

is the UI lag related to optimization. A firestick with juat a gig of ram seems to be working fine almost at all times. Too many features could be the culprit. And QC chip could have bee easily replaced with OC chip for better processing. Undercuts do reduce the overall vlaue, especially when Xiaomi is entering in OLED territory. They do make lcd TVs and are selling well.

Dolby Vision on TVs right now is a mess, and is mostly tuned by the manufacturer, and LG seems to have it dialed down, even Sony with their superior processing is still dimmer despite having higher brightness in TVs like A90J.
It would've been better if Xiaomi came with some sort of panel warranty for Burn-in which has become a standard nowadays.
Also what are the color accuracy out of the box vs after calibration in Cinema/Movie mode in both HDR and SDR along with what sort of panel it is from the looks of it it's probably a last gen LG or BOE WRGB panel.
2022 panels from LG are really good and should be priced around 1.25L in India.

DONT BUY THIS TV! So stupid give only 2 years warranty for expensive tv and the tv broken just after warranty ends. Stupid low quality product. I will definitely leave bad review to xiaomi.

Hahaha 800nits brightness..i doubt 🙏 even c1's peak hdr is around 750... if it were 800nits Xiaomi would have mentioned in specs.

@@mahektailor4542 Xiaomi didn't disclose its brightness.. it does mean that brightness is not the strong point..but this sir saying 800. even lg oled maker had to work for years to increase brightness level of their oled's. Xiaomi reached 800 in first attempt 🤔.

Sorry, very disappointed. For a 60Hz oled panel, 75k its okey. Not a worthy product for 90k (84k) that too after banking discounts. Let's hope prices shoot down. As there is already LG A1 and B1 series, how can Xiaomi even quote such a price. Do they think people are fools?

Again a cheap china ka maal which dont last long with worst after sales and almost no service center network pan india of deep rural areas.
LG Samsung Sony these are reputed brands dont sell their tv cheap as they have hugely invested in after sales and service centers.
Please dont compare these China wala sasta products with other reputed brands.
