Vesper, Welcome to the thirties! I've been there a little bit and don't have many complaints. I started T at 32, and it's been a good process. Though you have raised valid points. Hey, and I love the sign! Looks really awesome and sounds like it's a great thing to come home to. I also noticed the new ear piercing right away, and love it! I'm sorry about things being rough with your mom. I think I've been on a roller coaster the last few years with that too, but I'm happy you're able to feel better yourself, and I hope you continue to prioritize that. About mental health issues and therapy, I relate to what you've said. I hope you're able to get everything you need.

Hi Vesper! :) I watched the whole video and I really appreciated it. Your mom sounds like my mom. My mom doesn't get the whole LGBTQIA terminology and she thinks it's impossible for me to know that I really like girls. I try to tell myself it's because she's older and isn't in touch with the LGBT community. But hearing about you and your mom...made me worry the same would happen with my mom! So I am trying to work on educating her when the moment arises...because it's a really painful situation to go through (I can tell by the pain in your eyes). Your mom is ignorant...so hopefully she'll come around. I also have Social anxiety...a friend and I have decided to support each other in our resolution to be more social. I hope to get more videos up... Thank you for all your videos. I really loved them and they helped me... BTW, I have mental health issues too... If you ever wanna talk. Anyways...stay awesome
    ^-^

+Anne Marie hi! thanks for watching and commenting. :) i hope that your mom makes an effort to learn and understand, or at the very least is receptive to hearing what you say. i'm happy to say that my mom is now doing better than she was at the time of filming this video, but there was a lot of pain, time and effort along the way. hopefully things will go smoother with your mom than it did with mine. good luck with your anxiety, too, and thanks for the offer. i appreciate it. :)

Your sign is really cute and it makes me weirdly happy to see it. I think I'll make one for myself, it will be nice to have something like this to come home to.

I just noticed your black ring! It's awesome! Good luck with your mum, either in ignoring her or having her respect your wishes more. Thanks for the video!

Now that I'm 38, being 30 is a dusty memory, and I wasn't anywhere near the realm of being an adult or having my shit together---or even being employed! I started surgical transition at age 36, which doesn't seem old to me because I knew a trans man who was getting bottom surgery in his 70's! I think that as long as you take care of yourself, you can be strong enough to handle however your body will respond to physical transition.
I like the sign idea! I might do something similar to that, because I like coming home to something more cheerful after being an invisible trans person all damn day.
I'm so glad you've been getting out! I'd love to see a vid about the LGBT community in Japan. Your perspective as "a foreigner" would be interesting, as well as helpful to anyone LGBT who plans on going to Japan.

Even though you are a foreigner in Japan, I would LOVE to watch the video about the LGBT community and Japan, it's something I have always been curious to know more about, especially your experiences. Aside from the asexual erasure at one of the events, were there experiences at LGBT events that were positive? Are there lots of foreigners in Japan who meet up at these LGBT events? :)

I hope that someday your mum realizes the damage she has done to you and apologizes profusely.

I'm sorry if that's rude but I never would have guessed you to be 30.
You look so young! (I'm sorry I am bad at guessing) (I also hope that you are doing as well as possible :3)

Laura H. lol not rude at all. my whole life people have thought i was ~5 years younger than i am, so i'm used to it. thank you for the well wishes. :)

+QueerAsCat Even though most people guess that I'm in my early 20's, I still encounter people who say that I look 18. Jeez, people have been calling me 18 for the past 20 years! I guess when I'm 50, people will say I look 30 :-)
