Hey Boyd, Just Wanted to say Thanks again for the help last week. I couldn't find a Pearlesant white, but i did stumble on to something quite by accident. I was at the local hobby shop and found a Testors car color called White Lightning. When sprayed over my basic white it creates a fantastic pearlesant effect. The results are fantastic. Can't wait to lay down the decals. Still have alot to do though before I can glue my 2 Reliant hulls together. Thanks again and keep up the GREAT WORK !!!!!
hey Boyd, Been watching your channel for some time now and finally subscribed. I'm watching your videos for my Reliant build. Thanks for all the great tips. Can't wait for the new web site. And also your right. Your camera doesn't do those new lights justice. i have the kit and WOW!!!!! Can't wait to start mine. Keep the good stuff comming Jim
Thanks Boyd. That help alot!!! I'll have to post my Reliant build after its done. Also saw your review of the Tenacontrls ramp up board for the Refit. Bought it last night. Keep up the great work!!!! Jim
Thanks for the info Wally. Will help me out with the install. I really like the lighting kit as you could tell in the video. It's very exciting with all of the super cool stuff coming out for these kits!
I'm trying to figure out something--if the Red is positive, the black negative, where does the yellow wire go. The video is blurry so I can't make it out on the diagram. Kenn
The yellow wires connect together and then on to a momentary switch that's connected to the ground side of your power source. The wires are for triggering the speed of the rotation of the LED's.
Jim I almost always mix my own colors for my models. I like an off white/grey for the TOS ship and more of a neutral white for the Refit. The Pearlesant paint would look great on the refit and it is often painted that way.
Can't go wrong with the Tenacontrols stuff. Solid quality fast shipping and prices are fair. Gotta love that 5 year warranty too. And no, I don't own stock, I just like their stuff :)
The light kit is really nice John and I'm sure you'll really like how it looks in person. These cameras just can't capture the lighting in motion that it has.
Boyd great work I just stared my TOS 1:350 build and you videos are such a great a help for a novice like me. One question though, what do yo use for the DC power during your build, without using the power supply form the kit? thank you
I'm seriously considering tenacontrols for my refit, having seen they post to the uk their all in one board looks awesome. I usually build all the electronics myself but this just looks too good to pass up.
Hey Boyd, Question for you... What color white do you use for your starships? I was thinking a Pearlesant (SP)? white. Would really appreciate your input. Thanks Jim

Thanks for the Sub Jim and have fun building the Reliant. I love that kit and how it looks when it's all lit up.

I hope you get round to building one of 350 TOS kits Dave. It's a fun build and I think it's the sturdiest model I have ever seen.

Yes when the kit makes it to the U.S. I would love to build one. It has some unique lighting opportunities that could be done with it.
I like that board. The impulse light just makes it over the top for me. I only wish the camera would do the collector justice.

Great to hear you received them and another incredible job on the video review!!
Thanks Boyd they really look good :)

It's really cool John and you will like it a lot when you see it in person which won't be much longer now ;)
What a great build, you should be very happy with it!

Great videos Boyd, looking forward to your new website!

Just awsome and I want the kit !!!

I like the idea of a solid-state solution for the engine fronts. Motors are noisy and can wear out.
question... are you planning on doing the new revell into darkness enterprise?
They make some sweet electronics Tenacontrolsm

Wow....I wish this was available earlier....oh well. Very nice.
Is this in conjunction with the Polar lights lighting kit or does this replace that?
Drives me crazy when ppl call electric motors engines... great work boyd!
great books
Yeah they do and with a 5 year warranty to boot.
Yes most cameras frame rates can't handle the truth, lol.
