Playing Halo Custom Edition or Eldewrito really makes me sad when I think of what MCC could have been in terms of server hosting and mod accessibility. Players can run their own private dedicated servers and have them accessible to the public via the server browser rather than relying entirely on 343i's dedicated servers in the CGB (which is good, but should not be the only option). And then they can use server tools and scripts to run them how they want, letting players vote on map rotation and the like. Also, I will take Eldewrito's color customization any day over the limited list of presets that MCC offers, which is further limited in Infinite. Who was the genius that thought, "What if we could customize our light colors?"
Yup. When MCC/Reach hit PC i was actually getting hyped again- then the CGB landed, then Floodfight- and then all down hill from there lmao Like wtf. The tools are here, the want is here, the Content is already here, the players never left. So wtf is MS doing? Nothing that we want thats for sure. This whole industry to them is just a wallet that they collect from. I know plumbers who take more pride working on ppls toilets and try more to be efficient at their jobs than any one of the ppl managing all this Ridiculous when you imagine how much we could have and how much money they could make but theyd rather just sit on the edge between good enough and garbage for the sake of "consistently" producing bare minimum content rather than actually attempting at making a stretch for something great
I forgot that the game is 60fps locked. But you can get a 120fps experince with lossless scaling frame gen. I recommend it. But the input delay is the same as 60 so it feels odd.
How do you do this? The 60fps on Eldewrito has always felt slightly jittery to me (mouse & keyboard), maybe this "lossless scaling frame gen" will smooth the feeling out for me.
@@qualityesports7802 like i mentioned, it "feels" like 60 still when it comes to mouse movement. But the visual feedback is really nice. Its not perfect but insane that it works on almost everything

@@ngonzales3781 sometimes anti virus softwares, like microsoft defender, can flag some code that doesn't necassarily have to be malicious as a virus and takes action on the file with the code. this can happen due to something like code or the software's behavior being similar to a virus', yet being a innocent file

This is 100% an intricate spyware campaign. As much as I want to play it, I can't feel any other way. This is coming from someone who played the original game as well as the mod, extensively. In this day and age, auto-downloading files from relatively unknown servers, without proper vetting and AV scans like the Nexus or ModDB, is something you should never risk unless you can afford to dedicate an entire PC exclusively to gaming. Even then you still put yourself at risk of being attacked through your network connection. Super sketchy even if it is absolutely bonkers. I wish I could trust it because this looks phenomenal. Did Season 3 of Halo Infinite teach any of you anything?
Source games like TF2 also auto download stuff like maps and sound effects. This isn’t new but the “false” positive stuff is what the zoomers call “sus”

I’ve experienced old school games that download maps and models way before steam workshop is a thing, but part of me is saying that this project is compromised in some way, hijacked even
