Totally agree with having most of the playoff races Saturday night. Imagine them installing lights at Talladega and the promo they could do with that race. "Talladega Nights"
As usual, you nailed it with your thoughts on Bristol and you called this weeks ago. I worked and didn't see much, but I can tell I didn't miss anything. What a shame these short track races have become, it really is upsetting. NASCAR just has to do something to save this, we can't lose short track racing. I watched the 2006 Bristol Spring race a bit ago and that was a real Bristol race! With passing, bumping and lead changes! I miss that. Great video as usual, man!
For me I say they should’ve left the resin on there and not put pj1 because we would’ve had the same thing happen in the spring or it will be 60-70 laps until tires go bye bye so yeah also I’m waiting for you to get the advent calendar so you can review Elliott’s Llumar Diecast that I was going to get until it got cancelled

This one hurt to see Truex miss out but it is what it is, he's been running like dookie all summer. Hoping he can get another win before he hangs it up.
Kyle Larson gave the field a good old fashioned butt kicking tonight! That being said I kinda wished I had been there being that I went the last 3 years and it was amazing.
You’re damn right it was bad! Which is sad because I had high hopes for this race and was looking forward to it after that banger we saw on St. Patty’s Day and unfortunately I’ve been sick since Tuesday Night so that didn’t do me any favors either which is why I’m not doing a Race Review this week in order to conserve my health! And I remember those Early 2010s races like it was yesterday as a teenager in the Sandhurst House in Brook Park and even back then was way better than this pile of shit we saw tonight. It’s the Gen 7 on Short Tracks so I’m also kind of not surprised and thankfully I came well prepared for that. Good analysis GH! Also random question: When does NASCAR 06 return?
I wasn't in the stands so I have no clue how it was in person, it was better than Martinsville, the first 50 laps were pretty good and there was passing behind the leader...Larson did lead 462 laps...Austin Konenski said what the next gen did to short tracks is unsustainable...this is the thing new fans don't get and it scares me as NASCAR would rather listen to them over us longtime fans, neither of us are old yet we get called boomers when we call out the poor racing product...I don't know who exactly is in charge of the rules packages but if it was up to me I'd rip that undertray and diffuser out and give them 750 HP, a 2.7 inch spoiler and the softer and harder compound tires for the short track package...that's the thing is new fans probably don't like short tracks because they never saw them in their glory days and just think they're boring slow tracks with no passing or action
And if that didn't work I'd commision the gen 8 car as soon as possible, probably keep the symmetrical bodies and ditch about everything else...basically a gen 6 on the inside but looks like gen 7
Kansas night race in the playoffs...heck Atlanta, Kansas, Charlotte fall night races...just saying and I don't even watch football just racing but those Saturday night races were so epic when I was a kid yet the networks claim nobody watches...
I agree. Other than Larson winning. The racing was bad. The bottom line was never really there. So they were all running the top. Only very few could get the bottom or the middle groves working even if you tried to run the bottom. You would slide up the track and be forced to pull in line and choo choo train the top. The racing was just really bad in my opinion. But other than Larson winning and advancing. The only real exciting part was briscoe clinching a spot in the next round. Hopefully briscoe can take SHR to the final four and win them that final championship before shutting down at year’s end.

I was 9 when Dale spun Terry out in 99 I remember booing the crap out of the tv 🤣

@@Diecastbuffet Of course brother! Thank you for the great videos. Enjoy NFL tomorrow!
@cameronchiesa1031 yes we have to save the short tracks! They're the soul of the sport and without short tracks what do we have!?

But Xfinity was good and Dale Jr's last NASCAR start maybe? Good finish for him though...I'll say it...Dale Jr should be running NASCAR!
