what compression are you using for your elbow?
Good stuff
What dip belt are you using?
Edit: Nvm, I found it, it's from Amazon from the brand thefitguy
Mr 4 Plate Pull-Up Strikes Again
💪🏽💪🏽🤷🏾♂️
I only did 3 reps with 4 plates
Why u not reply to viewers like Austin???
@@mjordan5382”Only”, dude, you’re strong as hell, you gotta appreciate being as strong as you are while you are!

Been training weighted pull ups for about a year now. Went from being able to do 5 body weight pull ups to now doing 5 reps with 55lbs. This method of training works!
How many body weight pullups can you do now?
@@jakemccoyhe can probably do like 20. I rep 70 for 5 and can do 24
damn thats nice man good shit. i been doing for like 6 months now, and i went from doing a few body weight to i can do max probably 25 pound but i can do like 5 reps with 15 pound. im pretty much stuck tho, and have been for months. do you have any advice to get out of my plateau? i will add tho that i do weigh a decent bit for someone that does calisthenics. i am 6'1 and weigh 200 flat. probably like 16-18% body fat. i dont look fat by any means. even tho i have hit a plateau ive still been seeing some gains in size.
@@jesuschrist8069 Do a few weeks of strictly Negatives. But be careful not to go more than triple what you are doing for positives right now.
@@jakemccoyYea about like 20. I very rarely do that anymore though its just so exhausting doing that many bw reps
Your strength is insane. This was my favorite video of yours the last few years, thank you for this. Sending strength brother!
Love it my man!!
Perfect timing. I was just looking for a weighted pullup routine. It would've felt weird doing a pullup workout that wasn't from this channel.
Weighted pull ups are king.
When I started i knew pull ups are the best. Skipped out on all the bodybuilding exercises for lats. I would jump to bar and use the momentum as assistance, with each set to failure. Now I'm like 1 of 4 people doing weighted pull ups in the gym.
U got me into weighted pull ups and I’ve been looking crazy lately I love being able to show off and pull up 2 plates it’s a big accomplishment for me so far❤️
love these types of videos
Awesome
I'm a street lifting athlete and coach and I have to admit, this is pretty insane.
He has pretty standard grip, he could be much more efficient strength wise with a close to semi false grip, not squeezing the plates with his legs, it could help him use his core to get more momentum going up and he also does it in a single motion, aot of athletes get stuck close to 90° and go backwards to gain a bit of momentum.
Insane level, he could be competitive with a more specific program and he could easily pull more than 5 plates, I can say that confidently
Where can you find a specific program? For streetlifting
@Hayden.21 probably from RUclips videos, I remember Mathew Zlat gave away a program in one of his older videos. Maybe google it but I'm not sure, you could also ask chat gpt
How much plates can you do?
@@traderhines haven't tested 1 rm for a very long time, best sets were 3×4 + 72.5kg on pullups and 8 deadstoo reps +85kg on dips. Still got a long way to go
AD Team 🔥💪
I love this dude man literally came from the bottom up!! Proud of him!
You made 135 look easy! Been stuck at 120lb for a while but trying to finally get 135lb
Yesss Sir was waiting for this one
so much respect to this guy hes pulling more than he weighs
This workout is fire 🔥
Great timing. Haven’t seen your workout shit in a while but doing a 4 plate pull up program as well. Thanks for sharing this
whats the program?
Dude i been waiting on your pullup programming wtf took you so long!!!
Right! Glad I got to it
That’s crazy Austin. I also got tennis elbow about 3 months ago from over use. I think it would be great if you posted a video about it and how calisthenics athletes can avoid getting it!
Try using versa gripps for all your rowing exercises and even pull-ups. That should stop you from getting it and you’ll feel your back working more. Some say it comes from having to grip the bar so tight.
Maybe don’t start your first working set with 45lbs without warming up with lower weights first.
try mixing up your grips chin ups/ pull ups from time to time
Neutral pull-ups
@Ghost.293 that's exactly how I got tennis elbow last year.. I took a break and strengthened the tendons gradually increasing weight and now I can pull double that 😊
Just started doing weighted pullups recently! I'm gonna take your advice and post my progress! Thanks for this
As someone who barely can do a single pull-up. this came as the best motivation🔥💪
You’ll get there man. I started off only being able to do chin ups. Within 6 months I got my first pull up. Got a gym membership and a within 2 years I had bulked 60lbs and was doing 45lb added for sets of 4-6. Doesn’t take long if you train back twice a week
damn bro i started watchung 8-9 years ago im 22 now god bless u
Need more videos like this bro, keep it up.
Good to see you in the gym again, Fred like a decade 😅 we need more of these
Ive now got mine upto 41kg, for 4 reps my next goal is 50kg (110lbs) great video thanks
Whats your routine?
@@nigeris10000 I don't do pullups every workout, but I warm up with 10kg wide grip and do 12 yo 15 reps, 20kg 8 reps, 30kg 6rep, then 40 kg for 2 to 4 reps.
I've also started to do 6 sets or 6 reps at 20kg, with about 1 min rest
For better stability while doing weighted pulls you shoulder keep your legs straight and tight, this way you prevents the weights from swinging around
@@SupraT-vj1lq with bent legs you are bringing your center of gravity closer to you making the exercise “easier”, with pure calisthenic technique like I mention your strength and explosiveness will double when you dominate the movement💪🏾
@@SupraT-vj1lq I agree with you that not everyone wants to compete in calisthenics but even if you just want to train for the benefits using legs straight to help you control and prevent the weights from swinging too much therefore optimize your training is not a bad thing.
Dear god this is impressive af.
He’s on roids so not _that_ impressive lol
@@krisjones4051 His Physique doesn't look roided. He doesn't have the stupidly round shoulders or hulking traps.
@@krisjones4051if you think you need roids to look like that then you are one lazy mfker
I remember I use to hit 2 plates at 200 pounds wishing I could rep 3 with ease like Mr AD but I took this same wise man advice about comparing yourself to others because we aren’t the same. I miss weighted pull ups but I don’t miss the disappointment.
I’ll be applying this method to my training thanks Aus
One thing I must try when I started to go to gym weight pull ups
Thanks for the tips. How about working in reverse order, after warm up, start with one pr and followed by 4=5=8 reps/ by weight reduction. This Wise you get full range of reps.
I never thought about looping the plate in the center. although i'm not nearly as strong as you, I will try this pro tip next workout!
Your the goat ong
I like wilde grip as a warming up great for the feel and getting everything warm and lengthened
Did weighted pull ups yeaterday for the first time ever and I feel every muscle it worked this morning. Im addicted now lets goooo
I got strong really fast doing weighted pull ups. My PR is 8 reps with 20 kilograms but my normal unweighted pull up pr stayed the same at around 12. any tips to improve?
Same here
8:44 finding a hole by now is crazy😭🙏
I work up to 200lb, at 140lb bodyweight. i use dumbells, which are still difficult but a lot easier to work with than using multiple weight plates,
bros genuinely working out with all the jerly
Well done perfect in my opinion good man
Let's get it!
How did you recover that tennis elbow? I have the same issue :(
Strong!
Super strong love the content
Amazing. I can only do 3 plates at the moment
Are you doing more back excrsies after this routine?
Scapula pull ups are superb.
Rotate your grips to avoid overuse. Overhand, underhand, neutral, 45 degree.
Ian barseagle is going to disagree with you about the volume part
I want this collab
And? Doesn't mean it's wrong
What brand is that belt?
Good stuff, I’ve run a similar program for about two years but I too have recently experienced tennis elbow and wondering if you have any tips for recovering. I’ve finally realized I need to take a couple months off weighted pull ups but any stretches or alternate exercises recommended to strengthen elbow? Thanks
AD team!
I deadass forgot Austin works out and is strong asf 😂
did 115 last week. really wanna get to 3 plates
amazing video my guy
you do anything else for the back?
Bodyweight rows
With a slower eccentric
I do high volume reps like 200+ part of my routine but let's be honest, nothing works as good as weighted pull ups for low reps
Let’s go! 💪🏻
where he get that pull up belt
What if the last set was maximum pull ups but with weight like 5 kg?
' Finding the hole '. Something i struggle a little with sometimes. And not with plates... not the weightlifting kind anyway. Their anatomy doesn't differ that much.
Hi ,I am beginner .What are the best exercise to increase weighted pull up ?Maybe static or rows ,maybe another exercise ?
Watching this after left shoulder injury while doing pull ups 😭
Been training weigjtrd pull ups can do 4 sets of ten with 50 hanging from me. Use to be only could do 4 pulls ups when started working out
Can you please tell me how much rest you take between sets?
Where’s the belt from?
Might be a stupid question but do you rest 2 minutes even when doing the drop sets
Impressive strength! Say, what kind of belt was that you were using?
Why not doing another set of negatives?
I use this routine also forr dips does it work as same as for pull ups? yes right?
Would you recommend reverse pyramid training for this workout? I feel like I get tired by the time I get to my bigger weights. Would it make sense to lift heavy while you are at peak energy? Also should you go to your sternum or up to your chin. Just curious.
You shouldn’t be doing more than 3 reps with your 60-70% 1RM. I would just do 1-2 reps if you are gassing out that quickly. My PR is 165lb at 170lb BW.
Austin what's your physique measurements, like shoulder, waist, chest, arm circumference
Should you do Weighted pull ups with a thumbed grip or thumbless grip and why?
Thumbed because you get better grip
bro looking at you I always felt weak at pullups because my Max is 3(45lbs) plates ... but I have been thinking in KGs.. and my bodyweight is 120kg or 265lbs.
so maybe I am not weak after all 🎉
bro u strong asf
@@MMMustafaaa123 thank you bro. I hope so haha
Bryson Tiller looking like you in his new album cover
i dont feel my back when i do pull ups any tips?
Retract the scapula downwards and keep it tight like that
Engage core
How many kg did you lift with those 4 discs? THX.
Since 1 pound equals 0.45359237 kilograms, 4 plates equals 180 pounds, which would be approximately 180 times 0.45359237 kg, which equals 81.6466266 kg.
Therefore, 4 plates would weigh approximately 81.65 kg.
Simple math
Where you get that bracelet on you right wrist bro?
I fixed my tenis elbow with external rotation, rest never works. Its a weakness in the chain.
I find training 3 times a week full body is to much when I do every rep 5 second down 5 up for 2 sets I just train Monday Thursday and core in between 2 times is that okay Austin with your bodyweight bodybuilder program for beginners
My advice would be listen to your body. If it’s too much and you feel weaker and too fatigued, than for sure only do it 2 times a week. I’m talking from experience as I tried overdoing it and I overall feel weaker. Resting is just as important but make sure you make those 2 days of training count 💪💪
BBC gang we up
What is your max weighted pull up
3 plates soon guys, 3 plates soon….
Goat 🐐🔥
Whats the name of the song at the start of the video
And I was happy with my 8x10 with 25lb
What's your body weight pull up pr
Will this help me accomplish more weightless pull ups? Been doing only pull ups forever and can’t do more than 12;
starting AD Beginner Program tomorrow 💪
Yes it will. I was stuck at 9 pull ups, began doing weighted pull ups, 2 weeks later I can do 11 normal pull-ups already. Shit’s crazy
🔥🔥🔥🔥
If you want to increase your strength you have to do weighted pull-ups
I can do 18 pull ups now 💪
I can only match smaller guys like this in bodyweight pullups. Once we add plates its like mine are heavier lol
Can you link youre weight belt?
4:45 " I personally notice, whenever... I *come off my cycle* .... and" smh
LOOOOL. Yeah he’s absolutely on roids.
Stupid guy he talks about training mesocycle!!!!
@@krisjones4051he’s not even that big hes just an inshape dude that focused on pullups and dips for years its not difficult to conceptualize
Austin: when it comes to strength it’s all about the volume
Also Austin: does 1 rep
You’re just talking to fill up the silence aren’t you.
Link to the belt?
Are weighted chin ups to risky to do
If you go too heavy or if your joints are not prepared...🙂
bro ur clavicles are rly narrow but ur physique is still pretty good
This fire, I’m 18, in HS, 180lbs, 5’7, cutting tho ,stuck at 65lbs for 3-4 reps
Also for the tennis elbow, switching grips would’ve stopped your overuse. You watch Alex Leonidas you should know that 😂
Nice weight man. Cutting will skyrocket those weights, just wait and see.
You’re strong af brother 💪 very impressive weighted pull up.
🔥❤
bros really lifting his chin up to make it look like a real rep
