I’m sure it would effect the sound perhaps negatively but man these would look gorgeous with wood cups like the meze classics or the old audeze lcd xc.

I think the external material can be whatever. Just more expensive to manufacture and less durable.

Man I didn't even think of that. They could have a few different woods. Would look amazing with those cup shapes and hardware.

I tried your recommended EQ settings for the Liric. I hear a reduction in brightness with EQ, but the headphone loses some of its character that is appealing and makes it unique. I thought the EQ settings made the Liric sound blah.

Excellent review. I was looking to buy the Radiance or the Stellia. Not now I want these. Your review is so informative and honest. I thought the Stellias looked so luxurious but I dont want bling. I have the Bathys and they are enough bling for me with their flashing lights. Thank you again.

I rarely change ear pads. I’ve never even changed the ear pads on my HD 650 or 600 after several years. 😂. It is finally time to change the pads on the HD 600, though, and it’s going to be a lot easier than on the Liric. 😌

So I had brief opportunity to audition these but unfortunately only got to use ifi GO BLU. The highs are quite prominent and accentuate sibilance, definitely a deal breaker for my treble-sensitive ear. The treble was very 'tizzy'. Wondering if the GO BLU simply a bad match for these?

It ain't even double in audio quality compared to the original selling price of the T12nd gen. Mine got scratched sitting in the box, so much for the build quality? I don't understand how people justify its price.

@@OblivionIce they are different style. OB vs C. I 'd still go with the VC, but to each their own.
But still, as I said, I compared them to my T1's 2nd gen (the Elite) , which new were in today's money 1000+, and the Elite are not double the T1's as far as qualities go. Yes, better sepparation, but not double. And as I said, literally scratched paint from sitting in the box. And the box is shaddy quality. No way in hell they are 4+ k Headphones.

In his latest stream Andrew stated that the QC45 has one of the worst FR on the market for noise cancelling headphones along the xm4 (without eq). Both are bad for music but have excellent features. The only good Nc headphone for music (tuning + detail retrieval) is the sennheiser momentum 3 but the battery life is average at best and the noise cancelling.is poor.

The Liric, 109 pro and 99 classic are one of the best looking headphones on the market. A lot of headphones sound great but look ugly as hell. And even if we listen to them and not watch them, it's always neat to have a good looking product that fit your home and is nice to show to ppl.

Did someone take a spoon and just scooped out high lows and low mids? Its treble is also peaky. Meze has a lot more on their mind than just those who got their Classics. For those who find them worth it will find a way to invest in them. And naturally there will be a ton who will complain for various reasons, no matter the price or affordability.

@@bladelefusyn3337 So far price is biggest issue with these. There's plenty of comments about it here. You can invest in anything with that mindset. Other companies are making high end and entry level. Why is meze the only company that only have the neos or classics as lower end stuff. They're not a boutique company like ZMF. But hey that's just my 2 cents.
