    Excellent talk. Thank you!
Trying to get testing run is extremely difficult, even when family history and personal history, and personal labwork screams iron overload (400+ iron, over 15,000 ferritin, history of NAFLD, & Acute liver failure) without another family member who tested positive. The problem is that many, if not most, families were never tested, and some doctors are a deer in headlights when it come to proper testing and treatment of iron overload - even as it is doing damage in the patient.
When it is you, it's absolutely terrifying. The attitude seems to be let's wait and see how much damage this can do.
There needs to be more testing, education and treatment.

I only have h63d in heterozygosity and my grandmother, mother and I have hemochromatosis. We may have some other gene that is not usually studied in laboratories.

Great and detailed presentation ... how3er I can’t help but think that modern day science that focuses on genetics and ignores the miasm for what it is is completely missing the point ... rendering the entire presentation a pointless waste of time ... as with most science ... I can’t wait until these minds are put to good education and use
