I'm 40 years old and Ive been listening since 1986 when liscence came out. 32 years lol...holy shit
I was at this venue on that day.
I was watching their live in the center of the front row.
At that time, I threw my cap on Ad-rock.
And he played the guitar while wearing my cap.
beastieboys! Thank you for making very good memories!
I still love them.
MCA, RIP ...
I'm really sorry but it was me who threw my cap on stage, my t-shirt and my puma suede
zaebis
In the midst of a very creative period for the Beasties.
大阪観に行ったよ~⚡️
Raw brilliant talent. Energy level up 200%. The sound. Timeless.
You know......it sends chills down to my spine, honestly, to finally see something we always only heard on the Gratitude single.......fucking unbelievable, to watch something that you always heard but never never even dream of watching, that jam with the japanese friend and the guys ..... it`s a minor thing, but i`m sure i`m not the only one. Ben, you don know how beastie fans all over the world love you. Thanks and respect for you man.
The Beasties could play ANY style of music
so many great songs here
I'm Mike D back from the dead, chillin in Tokyo with the Grateful Dead
I dunno how the hell Ad-Rock managed to not lose his voice on these tours
+Charlie Burns you can tell his voice is straining in this one, but you're so right
+Charlie Burns This was during Adrock's "yelling" phase. Thankfully he chilled out on it. It was annoying. All the shows he did in 1991-1994 he yelled every line.
+panrick It is beyond annoying.
Trulysarcastic44 I wonder if the other two Beastie Boys had an intervention with him about it.
+panrick Adrock isn't at his best here but the Asian climate would be a contributing factor. It's easy to underestimate the effect this has on vocal performances, sports etc. Chuck in jet lag, dehydration and also consider that Horowitz has the most energy intensive style of the trio. He yells on record too and sounds fresh, but is struggling to replicate his usual performance here because his voice is shot. Consider that his rapping voice is not his completely natural voice, but is performed to an extent, it's like an impersonation that you can do better under certain conditions.
Can't imagine the other two taking him to one side over this 'Hey Ad I know we been touring a while but.. could you adapt your physiology to the Asian climate so you always sound exactly like you do on wax?'.
All three of them are totally underrated in terms of instrument playing.
+Jack Groskopf agreed, but they did make the hall of fame!
Jack Groskopf ....yes... BIG TIME
All time classic
BEAUTIFUL! Energy is off the charts from song one!
MCA is the reason I wanted to learn to play the bass.
wise
I love him and he was one of my motivation to start playing bass aswell
Same here down to a tee my guy. I miss Yauch and the Beasties.
✨️❤️😊🙏👍👑
2024, are you still loving them? 🤘🏽
Odd to think about: At this time, «Sabotage», «Sure shot», «Flute loop» and other classics just didn't probably exist yet.
Shadrach, Abednego and Meshach emerged unharmed from the fiery furnace into which they were thrown by Nebuchadnezzar.
Great stuff!!!! Classic!!!! Beasties at top of their game!!!!
Ben, thanks for upload this rare beastie stuff
I saw them in concert in los angeles along time ago... rage against the machine opened for them... (why do i now think smashing pumpkins were there as well ?) anyway... in the middle of a song... the music stopped and then all 3 of them switched instruments !! wtf !! and picked up where it dropped and holy shit ! you couldnt tell the difference in sound !!
Im glad America produced some good stuff.
I miss the Beastie Boys so much
AWESOME
I'm 52 and play Beasties stuff a lot, I've had the pleasure of seeing them 6 times over the years, totally gutted when Yauch died, it was like loosing a good friend 💔 .........
they were absolutely brilliant!
At least you got to see them. I only found out about the existence of Paul's Boutique this year :)
LOL! It was 31yrs ago for me, they broke the mould of Hip Hop and way ahead of they're time
🙌
I am 57 and appreciate them more the older I get. This concert was brilliant. Masters of improv. and flow. Is there anything they didn't do better than everyone else in the game at that time? I never ceased to be impressed by these Boys.
Back here after watching Beastie Boys Story... the three greatest to ever do it!!!
YO! that version of hold it now hit it was dope as fuck!!
awesome!
Hey, I have watched tons of RUclips videos with the Beastie Boys. This is the best one. The songs the sound quality and video are all exelent. If you like the Beastie Boys you will enjoy this imencley. A great video. Thanks for sharing your video. Awesome!!! Jason ( :
Amazing. Breathtaking. And naturally, funny as hell.
Mike D's got some Vanilla Ice thing happening, AD-Rock is hoarse and screamy, and my man MCA is chill, in the pocket, rocking a ratty old Bad Brains shirt and just where he needs to be.
brilliant Beasties clip. my girls keep saying *oh dad* when i play this in the garage 😑 #kids
Look at their energy!! They will always be one of favs!
wow, thanks for sharing this one. Beasties!!!
holy shit!!!!!!!!!
Did Adrock do the show with some serious strep throat? Whatta show!
So dope
Me love Mix Master Mike, but Hurricane rocks it here. I once shook his hand in Leeds. "That's the hand that did the Shake Yr Rump scratch" i told people.
+Michael McCartney Yo, oddly enough, it was one of the Dust Brothers (probably EZ Mike Simpson). Hurra didn't do the album scratches for the most part (he was their "tour DJ".) After Paul's Boutiqu and up until Mix Master Mike came along the Beasties did their own cuts usually. For example, the cuts on Jimmy James are all MCA, and the cuts on Fingerlickin Good are Adrock. They still did a lot of the album scratches even after MMM joined. Crazy huh?
What JamBurgler said!
Three amazing frontman for the price of one. Raw and fast like punk rockers. Saw them twice live, they were unforgettable.
懐かしいな
当時このライブ会場にいました
90年代のビースティーは本当にかっこいい
羨ましい!!!(>_
Adrock is the fucking coolest thing that ever lived. MCA was right up there, and I loved his gravel voice. Sux he died!
"Yo I think I'm about to go fucking loco!" Lmao never gets old
Arigato! What a Set!
Saw them twice... on communication tour they did it w quadraphonic (surround)sound amazing...
Quadraphonic != surround.
Fantastic! Trying to work out who the DJ is/was 🤔
Hurricane
Best GROUP ever in my opinion, there inspirational, revolutional and tribal who knows how to bring the energy with the sound of science
They were so unique and ahead of their time, it is unbelievable!
Bring back mic battles and not gun battles
they did what they wanted to do and succeeded. Best concert for me
The pogo was a required move at these shows back in the day.
ΒΕΑSTIES RULES
RIP MCA!!!
prease pray with japanese accents: srow & row that es dja tempor
Why didn't Beasties ever release these kind of quality concert films on dvd?
No need, or desire, to sell out. You either saw them or you didn't.
BAKKA BAKKA BAKKA BAKKA BAKKA BAKKA BOO!!!
Hologram HOLD IT NOW HIT IT
高校生の時。セーラー服を来てコレをみたんだ、後楽園ホールのライブ。った。襟の下にサインしたもらったっけ。大切な宝物いつの間にかなくなってた。このあと、トゥナイトに出演したんだよね、懐かしい。
Damn ... Hurricane raped that mic!
MCAのT-SHIRTS BAD BRAINSじゃん。さすがBROOKLYN。GRAND MASTER FLASHとBAD BRAINSが同時に来るSTREET。

Anyone have anything better than this from the Bboys?? Willing to bet no such video exists
ありがとう 👍
Beasties never get enough credit for being one of the greatest live groups ever.
MCA had green hair like the Joker
I was on a different journey in the 90s ,would loved to have seen them live.☮️
Height of their powers? Ad Rock high as fuck as usual. Utter legends.
Seen the Beasties open for Rancid as Quazar in 95 or 96. All punk show, one of the best gigs I ever been to. They killed it
That version of “Hold It Now Hit It” was badass!
l love it they sang so many songs from Check Your Head my fave album. This show proves and other shows I have watched on here that they are one of the best and talented bands ever. Also love the B Boys can not be put in a single musical genre.
finally i see footage of check your head this album changed my life back in `96 , THE REAL FUNKY PUNKY HOPPERS ! much love from mexico
For the Beastie in all of us! True classic early Beasties.
It's a pity Hurricanes vocal on Pow ain't on CYH, I dig it ☮️

Saw this tour in Dallas. One of my favorite shows ever.
Ad Rock just happen to be going through puberty during this concert.

Amazing
Hard Core!!!
I'm in my early 40s. Beastie Boys were one of my favs. Time goes by so fast. I remember wearing clothes like that back in middle school and high school. Sucks to get old.
57 here. Bump these guys everyday. They killed it everytime. OGs.
I saw them in 92 in Sydney. Best CIG EVER.
+Mikey San you smoked the best cig ever at the show, huh? Marlboro? Camel? Dunhill?
Salina's in Coogee Bay and The Venue Dee Why!
Thanks!!! what more can I say?...
Saw them in 1994 and loads of times after. Amazing.
Holy shit these boys took uppers lol!!!!
Whoa MCA rips on bass
😲woah!!! Kick It MCA!!! R.I.P. my bro!🙏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🤟💣💥🧨✨🎆🎇✨🙇🏼♂️🎛🔉🔊🎼🎵🎶🎙🎚🎹🎧🎤🎸🎷🎺🥁
🇺🇸
Not a cell phone in sight.. beautiful
You can still hear their punk sound.
Paul's Boutique and Check Your Head. Hyper creativity. I always loved putting Jimmy James on as the first song to go.
Man, I saw this tour in Kalamazoo, MI at Wing's Stadium...Still one of my favorite shows. In my mind, this is the peak of their live work....They totally stretched out and jammed like never before and since.
nice one ben, havent seen this before
AdRock was on some straight up speed during this era. hahahaha
