4 years I ago I watched this video, and I thought to myself, wow if only that could actually happen, of course at that time all of this was new and crazy. Now I watch this video and think, we have that technology we have advanced enough to create or have all of the technology in this video, truly amazing how much we've advanced.
+CocoButter Yet its still not here! I am so anxious for some of these! I love everything in the video and the possibilities are endless. But for windows to change scenery and be used as TV and computer.. I would be happy with just that! Im sad its not available yet.
I saw something similar in an electronic store but you'd have to use a smartphone and bluetooth to control it or something like that oh and they were smaller as well.
I can imagine my bedroom trimmed with a material like that, super interactive, I can picture my walls snapping to my personality as I walk in my doorway, where all of the glass looks like a plasma-blue pulsating microchip. And to be realistic, it actually is transferring data to and from my computer set right here.
There's a special coating that someone invented recently that will make the graffiti fall right off though, no liquid can stick to the surface at all. Some kind of nanocoating, I believe. The only thing that would make it hard to read, would be physical damage to the glass.
I imagine this type of technology hitting mainstream society in the next 20-30 years. Of course it'll be a gradual process with small inovations leading to these great leaps in technology.
Question to anyone who is knowledgable about glass technology:: Is their a technology that detects air pressure? I have an idea for an ad for harmonicas. The campaign is called Breathe Life Into It. I want to use a bus shelter and, using a special type of glass screen, people will blow cold or warm air onto it. If someone were to blow cold air onto the surface of the screen, blue illustrations will appear. And if you blow warm air, red visuals will pop up. I just don't know if this technology yet exists. Any help is much appreciated!
"I'd have to say this place looks like a giant mirror, shattered and torn apart by time? Time paradoxes? All this energy and shards of glass, hmm... Ascendant shards... *Looks around more* I think I'll call this place......... The Vault of Glass..." -Quote from unknown hunter.
Interesting technology, but just imagine living like this, being constantly overwhelmed with information from the moment you step out of bed. The first
Basically thinnered iPhone and Microsoft Surface everywhere with gorgeous apps and incredibly fast Internet connection. I hope I can see sth like these some day in my life.
But.. That part where they were video chatting w their grandma, how is the table supposed to see their face? Unless everything has teeny little hidden cameras everywhere
The amount of money required to build this kind of infrastructure would be ridiculous. May as well build this as an entire new city for rich people. Isn't that the plot of Elysium?
This is cool as hell... I wouldn't like for the store to knw when I come in unless I want it to... My car and house should be the only thing that knews me when I step in the door
For this to happen, people will need to make the internals so microscopic that it becomes transparent... No one has done that yet. It would be cool to live in a world where everywhere is 'intelligent'.
10 years and this hasn't aged well. Society has already decided it doesn't want most of this stuff. For example in cars, tactile controls are preferred because you don't need to look at them and operate them by touch familiarity of the controls.
I was surprised to read so many negative comments about the innovations portrayed in this conceptual video. Technology has the potential to make our lives much better. Get used to the idea, because it's coming.
Am I the only person who believes this video is disappointing, look at the way we are already so engaged in technology, this type of future makes it look like we will be ruled by it. It's unfortunate that humans have evolved to become so powerful yet so limited.
+Liana Foley Additionally to what Khari Derrick said, Technology has improved efficiency and productivity on every level. You are not required to use any technology, even today.. but if you do you can get a lot more done, more easily than ever.
Video looks quite interesting, however, things shown are not only GLASS, there are mostly TECHNOLOGY things... And mobile phone is definetly HTC made :D
it looks cool and interesing but also scary and what will happen to all the other things we had besides ¨Glass¨? If everthings gonna be glass then its gonna take a long time.
you'll get used to it bro. I was 15 when internet came around in the 90s... and there's really nothing much to it. now look at what an internet connection could do.
I used to watch this when I was a kid x3 I feel nostalgic!
I'm going to try to make these electronics, this is something that will revolutionize an entire industry. My company will be named FarLands.
Hope to see your products some day :D
wow nice name!
How are you going?
challenge accepted.
Any luck so far?

AmericanWoman1964 some companies have made similar technologies but they're still in development phase
I saw something similar in an electronic store but you'd have to use a smartphone and bluetooth to control it or something like that oh and they were smaller as well.
Sooo, after 10 years, which ones are implemented and which ones aren't?
I'm surprised these videos don't have a bigger following. I find them very interesting.
I was in Sears a few nights ago and saw a magnetic induction cook top similar to the one shown in this video. The future is coming at us fast

thank you youtube algorithm recommendation gods, you have inspired me
Thank you for telling me about that. I looked it up and it's pretty neat.

Glass Technology is my future.
Where's the Japanese toilet with the built in camera that I can swipe onto a glass wall?
so. no need to use camera for talking with grandma
Living in a major city, I'd have to say, cynically, that I'd like to see someone develop a technology that effectively ends vandalism.
1:20 she takes the milk out of the fridge and holds it, but wait, then she uses both hands on the picture! Where did the milk go?
asking the real questions here.

2010s: Tablets
2030s: Micro-Optic Devices (Contact Lenses)
2030s: Commerical Quantum Computers
2070s: Digital Universe (Matrix-like world)
2080s: Air Cars & Space Cars
2110s: Teleportation
2110s: Consciousness Merging (Double experience of one consciousness)
2120s: Extremely Good Digital Emotions technology
2140s: Planck Computers
2140s: Consciousness Production Technology
2180s: Consciousness Network of everyone
2220s: Inter-Galactic Travel
2240s: InterUniversal Travel
and that's the beginning
I can't wait to start utilizing this stuff.
when the woman is driving the car she looks for back, why? the car should have a display to to help her, shouldn't it?

Awesome but probably impossible to make touch sensitive holograms

I know that's what I was thinking and what about if some of these things could break easily when doing sports of something?
Interesting technology, but just imagine living like this, being constantly overwhelmed with information from the moment you step out of bed. The first
Back in my days kids, we didn't have all this fancy glass technology.
1:46 > where the kids waving hands to?? the camera is on phone and they not waving hands to camera at all but to the table itself!!
oh my god you're right
awesome creativity
Earthquake... RAM RAM RAM
No more glass.
Basically thinnered iPhone and Microsoft Surface everywhere with gorgeous apps and incredibly fast Internet connection. I hope I can see sth like these some day in my life.
*insert Squidward's voice* FUTUREEE!!!! FUTUREEE!!!
future!!!!
This should be a movie.
My grandchildren won't be alive when common people live like this.
Finger prints.
Finger prints everywhere.
I am 15. and this video makes me feel I should work hard.
But.. That part where they were video chatting w their grandma, how is the table supposed to see their face? Unless everything has teeny little hidden cameras everywhere
nice conceptual design. interesting on how technolgy will affect out life
So many applications with Glass Technology
I loved watching these green screens
@MultiIPwnage for those artists who cannot draw that would be an awesome thing!
The amount of money required to build this kind of infrastructure would be ridiculous. May as well build this as an entire new city for rich people. Isn't that the plot of Elysium?
Too much screens, that's not efficient! Where are the voice commands? where are the Google Self-driving cars?
This is cool as hell... I wouldn't like for the store to knw when I come in unless I want it to... My car and house should be the only thing that knews me when I step in the door

Was*
That's cool, but I'm still waiting for my flying car and hoverboard :).
damage resistant? hurricane sandy would have totally taken that sign board
Nice and innovative ..
Cool concept and all but what if it can't withstand a simple drop without shattering across the entire floor?
it is but if i remember correctly it's more for rescue or military than use for the general population mainly because it can go where helicopter can't
Dont think about throwing stones..
amazing....
Awesome. Incredible. Impressive~!!
Street signs would be one of the best things about this.

What if you're "balls deep" and there's a power failure? Would the virtual curtains fail?
'ok yes'
When is this coming out! I want one now
This is cool.... But this could become very dangerous.
yea thats why is scary
Magnifico video
In the future we're gonna all have glasses. Because everyone whatches all them screens.
Amazing.
I was surprised to read so many negative comments about the innovations portrayed in this conceptual video. Technology has the potential to make our lives much better. Get used to the idea, because it's coming.
It's all so clean 0.o
you cant have a computer or TV display without pixels. Glass alone is just see through?
That would be amazing! I now have a future goal
Am I the only person who believes this video is disappointing, look at the way we are already so engaged in technology, this type of future makes it look like we will be ruled by it.
It's unfortunate that humans have evolved to become so powerful yet so limited.
👍👍👍👍👍

There is gonna be a lot of broken glass when we realize hope much bandwidth all of this would use
By that time we still not eradicating hunger... But hey, we have smart glass
so.... are they made some prototypes and are runnings tests for future use.....??? and this will happen??
I want the future to be the same as now
What if the glass phone breaks if it is glass
yay, TVs everywhere!
May i just ask, where is all the power coming from?
So Minority Report wasn't actually far off ...
Good 👍
What about coffee stains? or using the table for putting things on?!?
Is that bus stop terminal spray paint, etchant, punch resistant?
Video looks quite interesting, however, things shown are not only GLASS, there are mostly TECHNOLOGY things... And mobile phone is definetly HTC made :D
Cool idea...but what about all the finger print smudges all over the house, the place will never be clean, an ocd's worst nightmare
Omg this is freaking awesomeeee!!!
We need a feature that sends 240V back through the marker pen...
it looks cool and interesing but also scary and what will happen to all the other things we had besides ¨Glass¨? If everthings gonna be glass then its gonna take a long time.
xD remember when it was just exciting for a single touch screen? I got a Nintendo DS just for the touch screen.
I think this is possible, as it is already been in the works.
the first thing i thought about is how to make all these people on this earth to live this happy life !
I'm 14 right now. The technology is cool, but that street stuff was a little to much. The house one was pretty cool though.
In the near distant future: We're gonna run out of fucking sand.
when i watched this video when i was 11 i thought that this is what the future was gonna look like wow
What happens if i drop my glass phone???
1. this is more "future of touch-screen technologies",
2. you are using the term photosensitive in a wrong way.
No one throws stones in the future.
Also dust.
just giving you a notification after 7 years ago
For some reason I would be scared out of my mind
juzt curious how half these things are powered, apparently portable glass screens dont need batteries
you'll get used to it bro. I was 15 when internet came around in the 90s... and there's really nothing much to it. now look at what an internet connection could do.
Why aren't we funding this?!
what's the name of the music playing?
One rock to rule the world!
Nice! ...... But, no where near the word "soon"
Amazinge, but why the father stay with the children and the mom go working ?:P
