I agree with the 2.1. I inadvertently got my first pair just going for another pair of 2.0 several months ago. I give thanks to you for even introducing me to the Vertx brand let alone my favorite pants of all time. I have multiple pairs and wear them everyday to work. I will add the perfect pairing for me is delta 2.1 with a Filson double prong belt with the side D ring.
Thanks for the recommendation. I love these pant. One thing I would like to add is the 2.1 have 5 hidden slots. Two in the cuff of the leg opening. One in the fly Vertx badge. One in the rear outside badge and one on the inside rear. Perfect to hide handcuff keys, ceramic blades or braided wire for escape and evasion.
@@LastLineOfDefense hey correct me if I'm wrong. But is it just me or does it seem like the pants on the female are tight? I know she said their comfy but what if shit hits the fan or a large rainstorm happens or something? Wouldn't the pants tighten and become extremely uncomfortable?

I started with one pair of original Deltas and now they are all I wear. Just got 2 new pairs of the 2.1. grabbed a Tabaco and a sand cookie. I have a pair of the defender jeans but I pretty much exclusively wear the deltas. they definitely fade with time but they never look bad! Maybe try a pair of cutbacks this summer! Great Video
Vertx Delta Stretch 2.1 needs to be made into shorts. My favorite shorts were the Cutback shorts (I think that was the name) but unfortunately, they're no longer available, I hope they bring them back.
Great review Mike. Based on your review of the Delta Stretch 2.0, I picked up a pair of the 2.1s (my size was out of stock in the 2.0 so I had to wait. I absolutely love them, so much so that I bought a 2nd pair for myself and a pair for my son. He loves them too! Thanks again!
I bought myself a pair of Vertx Defiance Jeans a couple of months ago, and as far as their features and functionality is concerned, I don’t really have any complaints. Overall quality is also good, especially once you factor in how insanely affordable they are. Unfortunately, I only tend to wear them when all of my other jeans are dirty because the fit is just too baggy in the legs for me. And while I won’t be caught dead in a pair of Lucas Botkin style nut-huggers (aka “skinny” jeans), I do like my pants to be tapered in the legs and be somewhat form fitting, and my Vertx jeans just aren’t.
I bought some delta stretch 2.0’s, but ended up returning them cause they were too baggy. I ended up with off the grid surplus trailblazer 4.1 which is their taper fit, and they’re perfect. They don’t drown me out like the delta stretch’s do. I really liked everything about the vertx pants, just wish they came in a slimmer cut than what they currently offer.
Just purchased some Delta 2.1 on the back of this video, very pleased with them although had to wait a while for them to arrive in the UK. Cheers for the vid.
So I picked up some 2.0s in my regular length, but after a few washes they shrunk a bit, so something to keep in mind. I got some 2.1s in a 32. Also I would recommend looking at Prometheus Design Werx pants. Made in the USA and great fit with good pocket options.
I really love Triple Aught Design pants. I run them pretty hard through various PRS matches and they’ve held up very well. Worth a look if you’re ever looking for something niche.
Nice review, I also have been searching for the ultimate pant. I just ordered 2 more pair not the great deal of the others but...I like them enough to pay nearly full price. Trust me if ya ever try these for a day you'll be hooked, they really are that good.
I’m sure you’ve tried Kuhl brand they have a ton of different fits, styles, and materials. Thoughts on them? My favorite part about Kuhl is what they call a “stealth cell phone pocket”. It’s a very minimal side slip pocket on the side of the leg to slip your phone down into. Lots of versions have one pocket on each side. I don’t use it for my phone but I can fit a CAT TQ, gloves, celox rapid gauze, and decompression needle in one pocket, and a pair of compact chest seals in the other one. I wear slim fit pants and ankle ifak kits just don’t work, and I hate having stuff in my back pockets because it sucks sitting down. Kind of like a cargo pocket without actually being a cargo pocket. They’re pretty slick. Kind of like the leather topped pocket in this video but deeper and a little wider.
Love the reviews, I got some of the older Vertx Delta stretch a while back and love them too! Been meaning to upgrade my collection! Had no idea they had ladies pants, guess I should get some for my wife... lol
I have a few pairs of the original Delta's without the mesh pockets and a pair of 2.0's without the pleather trim on the legs. Also have several pairs of the 2.1's. I think I like the overall design of the 2.1's the best. HOWEVER, the 2.1's would be even better if Vertx brought back the Sand color. You know, tan. The color that literally goes with almost any color shirt you could wear. The tan color just works better at the office. I do have a pair in the Sand Cookie (greenish) color and I like them, but the Tobacco in the current version works better for me. My original tan Delta's have held up well, but if they would bring back the Sand color I wouldn't hesitate to order a few more.
Hoping you’ll be able to answer a question...the sand cookie in the video looks kind of tan with a hint of green, on the Vertx page they look GREEN. Which is closer to reality? Thanks.

I have 3 pairs of Vertx Delta Stretch 2.0s and I gotta say I only bought one. Shout out to Vertx for the incredible customer service. However, I'm struggling because they now have gotten to the point after 1 year of total ownership of the three pairs, they are all looking ratty and worn out. And I wore them to the office, not much else. The elastic has started breaking in the legs so its got spots where the fabric is bunching up. Not to mention the main knife pocket is THRASHED. I'm a knife junkie, but my regular pants of non-tactical nature that I have had for MUCH longer have not worn out. I'm a bit frustrated with the durability. But damn are the pockets great and they are comfortable.
Only complaint I have in upgrading to my 2.1 from 2.0 was that my Leatherman MUT no longer fits in the side tool pockets, and I don't think it was because they brought back the leather reinforcement because I have been rocking my LM MUT in the right-hand side tool pocket since the 1.0 without issue (and they had the leather reinforcement as well). Maybe it was just the sewing in my specific pair, but I thought I would mention that. It is a subtle difference, and I don't think they officially made them smaller (it almost wants to fit)- but I am not gonna force it and probably need to get a lighter multi-tool for EDC anyways. Love the sand cookie color, it is my favorite color they have released thus far.
I'll have to go back and re-watch old videos. How are they in the Winter? Need to find some shorts like this, but lighter. 6-7 months outta the year if I can wear shorts I will.........hate the heat, hate being warm (outside of winter weather)
I'm on workmens' trousers (pants) due to the closed pockets and also the fitted kneed pad pockets for the pads. Perhaps it makes no difference to some but when you've knelt on a small stone it makes one think of how to not disable oneself in that area of the body.

Great pants video. Glad you're back to wearing them...
Haha never stopped
@@LastLineOfDefense also, just ordered a pair... My gf thanks you.... 😂
What I can't find...a pair that does not have belt loops on the 3 and 9 ....would love th have tech lock gaping on the 3 and 9.
What boots are you wearing in the video? Keep up the great reviews!
Got my first Off The Grid pants in the mail today. LOVE THEM!!! will be ordering more soon.
Looks like a great pair of pants to own. Thanks for the excellent review!
He says "oh you're gonna talk???"..... Lmao
The Delta changed CCW'ing for me. The stretch is an actual game changer from most jeans/khakis
How do you carry? I carry a G19.5 AIWB and I am considering trying these to see if it makes things easier.
@@Thebeerhistorian Glock 43x AIWB Here, the stretch helps so your setup isn't pressing on your gear and bladder as tight as denim would for example. One of my favorite pants, not just for CCW. Rugged, stretchy, and a versatile pants. Don't size up bc they do stretch.
Yo Ashely’s tank is 🔥, where did she get it from and do they have a men’s style?
Hey man when you washed them, did they shrink on you? They are 98% cotton so I’m concerned. Too many sand cookies in my diet. I got some but are snug just concerned if not I should send them back and size up.
Have you had a near death experience on that OneWheel yet? Are they worth the hype?
One thing I've having issues with appendix carry is that many pants either gets really thight around the junk or ride up the asscrack...
Just ordered a set of these after watching your video. What about shorts though Mike!? Any recommendations for shorts? I live in the swamp in NC, it's way too hot for pants in the summer! Thanks for the video!
Any cargos you would recommend?
I've been a huge fan of the Alaskan Hard Gear from Duluth.
Have a few of the 1.0, then bought the 2.0. Getting rid of the leather strap made it almost impossible to remove my flashlight or Leatherman unless you use the clip. Terrible design. Glad they brought it back.
Great pants i just ordered a pair like 2 months ago to try them out and I love them but they have been sold out in my size for over a month which is a bummer
I always appreciate your reviews and info. Will you be making your appendix carry holster for Glock 43x mos?
Hey man! Just ordered 2 pair of the 2.1 in 32 30. I had purchased 2 pair of the 2.0 in 32 30 and thought the inseam ran short and sold them. Hope they corrected that. Also the 2.0 I didn’t feel were quite as soft as the 3 pairs of the original vtx 1700 I own. Will be interesting to see how the 2.1 feel. Hard to beat these pants, and I’ve tried hard!
I swear that's the most we've heard from Ashley in your channel. You were even surprised lol
Have you tried the carhartt rugged flex rigby not a tactical pant although have some good features and pretty comfortable I wear them everyday for work would never go back to jeans
Nice pants but sort of expensive. Where are they manufactured? I do not see it listed on their Site's product links.
Just clicked the link. The website doesn’t even show the 2.1 pants. I only see the 2.0 ones lol. Love the video by the way!
These will be replacing my Kühl pants in the coming days. It has more desirable features for EDC and it plays better with someone's existing wardrobe.
Found the right model for jeans
Great video like always ! Tried to go buy these pants but they are sold out in my size so hopefully they re-stock soon.
On a side note, any idea when you will start taking orders for the stage 5 clinger holster again? Any plans to offer it to fit with the Pl mini 2?
Thanks and keep up the great work!
Thanks for the 2nd pants options, been trying to order the Vertex for awhile but my size been out of stock every time I try. I just ordered a few of the Off the Grid pants, wondering whats the new Velcro style iWatch band you use now? I ordered the one on your Amazon gear list but those buckles get on my nerves. Thanks
Bought some of the 2.0s. Love them but I need a 28-29, so I no longer wear them. Emailed them and asked for them in the new version. Sadly they still don't have my size.
Is the sand cookie more of a green or tan? Your video makes it look more tan but the website pic makes it look more greenish. Love your videos!
Definitely greenish
Mike, what do you wear during the summer? Still rock the tac pants or swap to some type of shorts?
Actually planning to do a shorts review in the next week or two!
What do you do with all these pants you try on and don't keep? I think my wardrobe could use an upgrade 😁
